So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@littlecontis @PinkFizz1 I think the general rule is you should be able to talk throughout any exercise otherwise it’s too vigorous. I’m going to try and go on a daily walk too to help keep up fitness levels somewhat. My PT said generally speaking you don’t need to change much before you hit the second trimester but it may be worth speaking to someone who has more knowledge as I’m just following someone else’s advice 🤣

Hiding it is so hard, I want to tell the world but then I’m scared in case something happens. When you usually enjoy a drink it’s hard to think of excuses why you’re not, so sneaky pretend drinks might be the best way to go

Re: exercise, I was told that if it's normal for you and you're already used to it, then (by and large) you can carry on.

Think it's a bit different for anything where you risk smacking your abdomen (wrestling e.g.), and they don't recommend doing anything you're not used to or taking up something strenuous.

I think some of the risk is actually that the hormones make your muscles and ligaments extra stretchy, so you're more prone to injury.

Re: midwife booking in appointment, you also are "registering" your pregnancy so you will get put down for free prescriptions and NHS dental care etc at that point. I think they send you something through to post for you to show to dentist at appointments from memory?

(I've just remembered I had dental problems in my last pregnancy (amongst many other things like pre-e), and lost a wisdom tooth!!)
Not excited for that stuff again (am expecting to be high risk/consultant led this time after the pre-e last time)

Morning ladies! Mixed emotions this morning and feeling pretty rough! Hopefully this wont affect baby bean in any way. On the other hand my pregnancy seems to be progressing as it should be acc to digitals.

I feel you @embob993 - 5 weeks today and 2 days post positive COVID swab! Feeling all headachey and tired today, thankfully being in the NHS means I'm off work isolating!

@bbno2 - I was told the same with exercise, you can carry on doing what you're doing in the first trimester, just listen to your body and don't overdo it. We scrambled halfway up a mountain at the weekend (whilst catching up with friends - and COVID!) and I was fine

@Ivy23 it's so hard not to read into things and worry. I've started reading 'Pregnancy after Loss' by Joe Clark-Coates, hoping it will help.

I really like the due date list, it feels a bit more real writing it down! I'm feeling really nauseous today. I'm only 4+6 and it's earlier than last time so I'm hoping it's not twins, I can't handle 3 under 2 at 42!!! :)

Does anyone else really want to start buying things? I'm spending hours picking out nappy bins and wistfully looking at books I loved as a child on Amazon

@PinkFizz1 thank you! It is my first,two losses before this. Last one was in December at 10 weeks. But I just can't help being excited all over again 🤞.

Hi everyone, hope it's okay I join, I'm 4weeks+1 today, I got my faint BFP at 10dpo, no real symptoms other than slight cramps and I'm so tired ( keep having to have an evening nap after work) :P my lines seem to be progressing nicely and I got a pregnant on a clear blue digital woop! I've got my husband to get the how many weeks today I can see 🤭
It's my first ever pregnancy so I'm super nervous and just trying to take everything day by day, also congratulations on all ypur BFP's 🎊
Any advise on how to stem the nerves would be great :)

@Haxeri I'm trying not to look at too much just yet in case something goes wrong but I have picked up a couple of little cute pieces. Need to stop now though 😅

@Haxeri I am trying to stop myself from looking! But I have been browsing on Facebook marketplace and baby things look fairly cheap second hand. I think we will buy things mostly from marketplace, better for the environment and wallet!

Although I did make a little bib as a way to tell my husband about our BFP! This will be the only thing we have for our baby for a while!
