So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

I'm due 4th December, first baby 🥰

Hi, can I join? Didn't realise there was a Dec thread going. I found out last week that I'm due #2 on 4th Dec.

Gosh so many messages to catch up on already!

@lovesT - this is our second too. We already have a 5yr old.

I am interested to see how the age gap works between 2 kids as there will be nearly 6 years between them. Hoping it works out OK.

So far my symptoms are different to last time. Evening nausea this time rather than morning nausea. Less tired this time (or maybe i'm just used to being tired constantly!), and do have sore boobs and bloating but it's all quite manageable at the moment.

I've ordered a pregnancy journal as whilst I don't feel the need to do that this time, I don't want this baby to feel like I did lots of journaling and documenting with our first and nothing with them. It definitely does feel like less of an "event" this time around so far.

I have the same age gap between by first 2, we love it! DD has been amazing with her little brother, she loves helping and the fact that they're a bit more independent really helps. She would happily grab things for me whilst i had a little baby in my arms. Plus I loved the fact that we got a little 1:1 with baby whilst DD was at school and we could catch up on sleep and household stuff whilst she was out. Then had qualitt time altogether when she came back.

@Ivy23 I think those digital tests date from conception and not from LMP, so about 3 weeks since then would be right no? wink

@FlowerJ - oh that sounds like a lovely relationship, hopefully we are just as fortunate!

I have broached the idea of a baby brother or sister to my DD and she is excited but I am cautious to not promise anything just yet.

@littlecontis I'm also much more thirsty than normal, I've bear of other women who get it too! My mouth is so dry at night.

Sorry I'm confused about the due date list thing but I'm due 4th December with my second 😄.

Just had my booking in appointment over the phone with the midwife so that's exciting, I go for bloods on Friday. With my first nothing happened until 8 weeks so this feels early!

We have family visiting late this week/ next week and we won't see them again until June I think so we are very tempted to tell them (husband's parents) but it's so early. We just don't want to tell them over video call. What would others say about telling before the first scan??

@littlecontis @lovesT I am also super thirsty! Despite drinking around 3L of water a day, I’ve been so thirsty the past few days. I even woke up this morning feeling like I’d been on the wine last night with how thirsty I was!

Symptom wise I’ve had waves of nausea, sore boobs, cramping & (sorry if TMI!) really bad gas!

I’m still waiting on the midwife calling me for my first booking appointment, I hope it’s soon. Those that have done it before - what shall I expect at that appointment?

We are off on holiday on Saturday, abroad, with all my family. First time in nearly three years. I obviously won't be drinking and it will be so so so suspicious so I will end up telling them. But otherwise i'd have waited, just because it would be kind of nice to do the "big sister" t shirt announcement with them otherwise and we wont tell our DD until we have the scan and know all is OK.

@PinkFizz1 I bought 60 cheapies tests yesterday, ideally I'd test on a FRER everyday but gosh they are so expensive! My cycles are regular so I don't know if I want to spend extra on digital tests.

The fatigue is crazy. I’ve never known anything like it! I’ve heard that lasts the whole first trimester and then goes for the second. Fingers crossed we can still stay awake to reply to each other

An app told me my due date is the 10th but the NHS calculator says 12th so I’m going with that!

@PinkFizz1 just expect loooooaaadsss of questions 😄 about your health, family health, husband's health, mental health, safeguarding stuff, where/how you'd like to give birth (you can change your mind). There's so much but it's all fine 😊 I've already forgotten loads and it was only about half an hour ago! I remember loads of questions with my first too x

Do you ladies exercise regularly? I started joining an aerial hoop class and I am half way through it, I don't know if I should keep going, I really enjoy it but I am so worried about how it'd affect my little baby bean.

@littlecontis I was going to post the same question.
I work out 2-4 times a week. Mix of gym and a PT. My PT said it’s fine to continue and is knowledgable about pregnancy so I’m comfortable to continue and the NHS site says not to push yourself but to continue to exercise if you do already.

@littlecontis good question, I am a regular gym goer (4-5 times a week) and I haven’t been since last week as I’m too scared! I have no idea what level of exercise is good or bad so I’m definitely going to be asking at my booking appointment. I was deadlifting really heavy 2 days before I found out & worries I might have done something wrong

@December22NewMomma @PinkFizz1 I was still turning upside down and stretching in the air two days before I found out 😂 I have a couple of dinners planned with friends and i am dreading it cos my poker face game is WEAK! I really want to flake / just get there early and order a fake G&T
