So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@Everythingcrossed89 oh wow hope you have an amazing time! Hard when this type of uncertainty is hanging over you but try and enjoy it as much as you can! I really hope it's good news 🤞

Everythingcrossed89 · 05/04/2022 09:46

Thank you everyone!

embob993 · 05/04/2022 09:55

Morning ladies! Mixed emotions this morning and feeling pretty rough! Hopefully this wont affect baby bean in any way. On the other hand my pregnancy seems to be progressing as it should be acc to digitals.

Due December 2022 ❤👶

I thought I would be an obsessive tester but so far (in the 2 days I’ve known Grin ) I haven’t. I have two more FRERs left but tbh my lines were super strong.

I did confirm with a digital on an afternoon 3hr hold which said 1-2, then yesterday morning I did the second digital with FMU that said 2-3 so fingers crossed.. I think I want that ‘3+’ though so hopefully I’ll get to do that at the weekend (when I’m just about 5 weeks - does that sound right??)

PinkFizz1 · 05/04/2022 09:59

@embob993 oh sorry to see that! That’s definitely not a test you want to see two lines on! Hope it doesn’t affect you or baby bean too much, keep safe. X

LolaJ87 · 05/04/2022 10:07

@December22NewMomma my symptoms are:
-sore boobs (though less so this week)
-needing to wee a lot
-nausea & wooziness (a bit like being seasick) - this comes and goes
-acid reflux
-mild headaches
-cramps
-food tastes better in the evening
-complete aversion to coffee and bananas (and I LOVE coffee)
-sudden fatigue

God it sounds really awful all listed out like that but for the most part I'm finding it fascinating! Also my skin looks way better than normal, so that's a nice bonus.

LolaJ87 · 05/04/2022 10:11

Oh no @embob993 !

I hope you're not hit too hard and that everything will be fine. It doesn't seem to cause problems in early pregnancy usually so fingers crossed. Get lots of rest, keep an eye on your hydration and take paracetamol if you need it. It's a horrible dose but the worst seems to pass over a couple of days.

littlecontis · 05/04/2022 10:14

@Everythingcrossed89 I can also see it! Have fun in New York and keep us updated!

@embob993 so sorry about the covid test. Don' worry too much and get lots of rest!

@PinkFizz1 I bought 60 cheapies tests yesterday, ideally I'd test on a FRER everyday but gosh they are so expensive! My cycles are regular so I don't know if I want to spend extra on digital tests.

@December22NewMomma so far my symptoms have been: feeling thirsty (which I haven't come across as a symptom and I drink a lot of water usually), headaches, mild cramping but the biggest one is fatigue. I been going to bed at 9 and needing a nap or two almost everyday.

BuchananBaby · 05/04/2022 10:15

@Everythingcrossed89 have fun in new york how amazing would it be to get your bfp there 😍

@December22NewMomma mine have been really bad dizziness and nausea yesterday I had a sit down shower yesterday 🙈 my left nipple is massive my poor right one can't keep up 😂, sore boobs and acid reflux so it's been fun 😂

Aww @embob993 that's the worst possible test to have 😩 good thing is it shouldn't effect baby lots of people have it while pregnant but just take it easy ❤️

I am exhausted today poor DD was up at 3am being sick the wee soul, she seems fine today though so hopefully it's a 1 off 🤞

@LolaJ87

The list is long when you start to think about it. I too am finding it fascinating and would rather be more symptomatic to stay sane at this point. Tiredness has been awful and also had headaches but I have a cold that I can’t shift so I’m not sure if I can fully blame pregnancy at this point Grin

littlecontis · 05/04/2022 10:28

Has anyone bought / read any books so far? I read samples on Amazon Kindle and bought these, waiting for them to be delivered as I prefer physical books.

  • The Modern Midwife's Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond
  • Your No Guilt Pregnancy Plan: A revolutionary guide to pregnancy, birth and the weeks that follow
  • Commando Dad: Advice for Raw Recruits: From pregnancy to birth (for DH but I'd read it too!)
FlowerJ · 05/04/2022 10:32

Good luck @Everythingcrossed89 it would be amazing to find out in NY 😍

@lovesT Yes it's our 3rd 😀

@December22NewMomma I don't seem to have had many symptoms so far! Just sore boobs (which seem to have improved a little), bloating in the evening, constipation, really hungry, crampy at times and needing to pee more.
It's like I want symptoms but I also don't as we've got plans with family over the next fews weeks and we don't want to tell anyone yet! Lol

@embob993 Sorry to hear about covid! Hope you feel better soon x

PinkFizz1 · 05/04/2022 10:48

@littlecontis I am planning to get some books soon maybe this weekend (I just don't want to jinx anything Sad )

bbno2 · 05/04/2022 10:54

Gosh so many messages to catch up on already!

@lovesT - this is our second too. We already have a 5yr old.

I am interested to see how the age gap works between 2 kids as there will be nearly 6 years between them. Hoping it works out OK.

So far my symptoms are different to last time. Evening nausea this time rather than morning nausea. Less tired this time (or maybe i'm just used to being tired constantly!), and do have sore boobs and bloating but it's all quite manageable at the moment.

I've ordered a pregnancy journal as whilst I don't feel the need to do that this time, I don't want this baby to feel like I did lots of journaling and documenting with our first and nothing with them. It definitely does feel like less of an "event" this time around so far.

littlecontis · 05/04/2022 10:54

@PinkFizz1 I know what you mean, I stopped myself from getting a little journal yesterday so I am so scared. But books - I'll always learn something from reading.

I lost track of where everyone is at! Shall we start a little due date list?

Thanks @BuchananBaby! Your format is so much better!

BuchananBaby · 05/04/2022 11:14

Taking absolutely no credit stole it from other due date threads 🙈😂 can't believe I'm actually adding my name to one though 🥳

Ivy23 · 05/04/2022 11:14

@cocoforbes I could have written that post word for word! I'm in exactly the same position as you. It's a really nerve-wracking time isn't it. I just keep trying to focus on one day at a time and each day trying to feel grateful to be pregnant today.
It's just such a roller coaster of emotions.
I should be between 5-6 weeks today but my digital weeks test is still on 2-3. Trying not to read too much into that Confused

LolaJ87 · 05/04/2022 11:17

@bbno2 thanks!

@Ivy23 I think those digital tests date from conception and not from LMP, so about 3 weeks since then would be right no? Wink
