So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Hi everyone

Please can I join?? 😊

I've just found out I'm pregnant after trying for 7 years!

Mommabear20 · 03/04/2022 19:43

@lol2015 welcome! And congratulations!!! That's so exciting!! Is it your first?

Hello
Thank you

Yes, well I've had to previous mc but still first baby
Worried that it's not real! I have been super nauseous and tired the last 4 days. I had to have a snooze this afternoon and still tired 😴

December22NewMomma · 03/04/2022 20:59

@TheFantastic7 I’m currently so hungry but not had sickness. It was one of the first things I noticed when I started to suspect I may be pregnant. I’m constantly eating but then feel so full and bloated - it’s a vicious cycle

FlowerJ · 03/04/2022 21:30

@lol2015 Eee congratulations! 😍

Definitely feeling more hungry, so far no nausea and really hoping it stays that way!

@December22NewMomma Yes I completely feel you!!
Girls I know I should relax and put the tests down.. but does this look okay for progression? Top one was 4(I think) days ago, bottom one tonight. My 2 MCs the line never darkened so I’m hopeful!

And hi @lol2015 big congratulations to you! Xx

December22NewMomma · 03/04/2022 21:45

@TheFantastic7 that looks like progression to me.

I have just ordered more tests as I’m so paranoid. I’m so scared to tell anyone the happy news in case anything happens. Are you getting an early private scan?

Me too, I have only told DH and my mum it’s like I want to get excited and share the news but that niggle in the back of my head is telling me to stop and wait as it’s still early days. Yes I’ve already pre-booked it for the beginning of may which is when I’ll be 9ish weeks x

FlowerJ · 03/04/2022 21:58

@TheFantastic7 looks good to me ! 😀

lol2015 · 04/04/2022 07:28

Getting a little worried :(
I did another test this morning to check line progression but it's so faint today :(

Has anyone booked their first appointment yet?

Oh love, how many days has it been between the first and today’s? And was it the same brand of test both times? I’ve been phoning my community midwives since Friday but going straight to answer machine so I left a message with my name and number this morning, hopefully I will get a call back x
December22NewMomma · 04/04/2022 07:42

@lol2015 there are many reasons why it may be faint which I know doesn’t help with the worry. Hopefully everything is fine! Can you get an appointment with your dr/midwife?
I rang my drs but they won’t see me until the start of may so think I’m going to book a private scan.

lol2015 · 04/04/2022 07:55

I've been having faint lines all week slowly getting a little darker. Saturday and Sunday were the darkest I've had. Then today faint again. All the same brand, going by dates I would be around 4-5 weeks now so I would of thought it just be getting darker.
Do I ring my doctors or the midwife office? It's so confusing 😩

BuchananBaby · 04/04/2022 08:34

@TheFantastic7 that looks like a good line progression 🥰

@lol2015 I would maybe phone the community midwife and ask for a bit of advice and see what they say. Could you maybe have ovulated a bit later? Are you using frer's? ❤️

December22NewMomma · 04/04/2022 08:35

@lol2015 I think you could ring either, just explain you’re concerned and hopefully they can get you an appointment. I’d personally ring my drs as they said to ring back if I had any concerns

I did an frer last week and it was faint. I've been using strip tests since x

I tried to get through before work but they were busy 😩 going to try again at lunch.
I'm hoping the extreme nausea and tiredness is a good sign

December22NewMomma · 04/04/2022 09:59

@lol2015 yes symptoms should be a good sign. Keep trying with the dr though, hopefully you’ll get through at lunch Smile

I’m struggling with acid, I feel like I feel acid in my throat especially at night, anyone got any tips or know what remedies are safe before I ring the pharmacy?

lottie222 · 04/04/2022 10:08

@lol2015 in the kindest possible way, put the tests down. I stopped testing last week it was too stressful. I was worried as mine were faint too so I've been in the care of my local EPU. Call your GP and ask for a referral unless you can self refer at your local one? It should say on the website. I'm waiting for my second blood test result which will tell me if the pregnancy is progressing or not. I'm so nervous.

My friend warned me about this happening, because I've been serial testing too - apparently it's quite common. She said sometimes you literally get tests with slightly less dye or you've drank more water etc. As long as there is a line, don't panic over one test, even though it's hard.
lol2015 · 04/04/2022 10:12

Thank you everyone
Going to call doctors when I'm on lunch. I'm going to stop testing now, I think that's been worrying me so much it's not helping the fear!

I found rennies the best for acid although did make me a little constipated 😞

BuchananBaby · 04/04/2022 10:18

@lol2015 is it the one step tests you're using? I found those were awful I got a dye stealer on a frer and a really faint line on those. Lottie is right though you may be better stepping away from the tests. I spent a fortune and only stopped when I got a 3+ on cb which was crazy if I'm honest

NHS Choices website do a good summary - Rennies and Gavsicon should both be fine

I think there the wondflo ones, I might get a frer and make that my last. It's weird though some days it's a darker line the next you have to hold it in a certain way to see it 😩
