@Juno231 I've only found one that covers the possibility of early labour and that's mama 2 b (I think) - other than that they are still only cover the mum - depends how bothered you are. My one through my bank account covers pregnancy for me but anything baby related (it's with Halifax but I can't remember who the insurance is subbed out to) - i did extensive research before deciding to go ahead with holiday at 33w!

@InkyPaper definitely try and get the pessary over the counter, dont know if you caught my post about 10 day ago but just send someone else if you look remotely pregnant and don't tell them it's for anyone that's pregnant if you cant wait for the prescription

@larrythelizard She was pretty useless helping with the hospital bag apart from telling me what snacks I couldn't pack because she wanted to eat them. Definitely mention it to the midwife but maybe sooner than you're next appointment if you're still having issues. Annoying on the new boss, mine retired after 30 years in feb and he told our replacement one of the staff was pregnant but not which one. So he told me the story in our last meeting how he spent a week whittling it down between the 2 females because he daren't ask.

Thinking of you @Lexber today, all the good vibes!

Juno231 · 12/04/2022 08:21

@larrythelizard is that slightly different perhaps because you went travelling after 32 weeks and most policies are only valid up until 32? Otherwise everything I've read indicates the pregnancy complications/preterm labour would also cover the baby as babies don't need their own travel insurance anyway (policy is always against the adult). Gah god knows, it's all a maze.

@Minster2012 hm in that case I'm starting to think you need double the days off as his are clearly not contained but spill over into the next day by being hungover, causing a mess in the house for you to clean up or keeping you up all night! 😁

I bought a ridiculously cute JL pramsuit off eBay for £7 yesterday 😍. She might be too big for it once it gets cold if she turns out to be a chonk but that's a risk I'm willing to take for £7 lol

InkyPaper · 12/04/2022 08:38

Thinking of you today @Lexber! Keeping everything crossed that it all goes smoothly for you! 🤞🏻❤️

@Juno231 it really does take the mick doesn't it? 😂 Not enjoying this thrush bout

@bez91 I can almost guarantee that DH would walk into the pharmacy and tell them I was pregnant, even if coached not to 🤣 with any luck the doctor will come back to me quickly. I mean the cream helps with the symptoms, it's just not getting rid of it

Juno231 · 12/04/2022 08:56

@BellatrixK I forgot to ask - what EDD did they give you at the scan?
and will you and @InkyPaper be team green or finding out the sex?

InkyPaper · 12/04/2022 09:20

@Juno231 we're definitely finding out the sex! Me and DH agreed on it before we even started TTC that we would do 😄

feliznavidad2 · 12/04/2022 09:21

Sat at my GTT appointment. Lots of hungry looking preggo women. Roll on food time.

Kate105 · 12/04/2022 10:43

Happy induction day @Lexber ! Today is a good day because our new dishwasher arrived 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I think my hands have shrivelled up with all the hand washing, I'm so reliant on my household appliances now 😂

whatwonder · 12/04/2022 12:15

huge day all around @Kate105 ! Grin

Vil10 · 12/04/2022 12:51

@Minster2012 @Juno231 petition to make Friday the 13th not a bad day!!

@larrythelizard Thankyou lovely!! It'll come round so so fast, I honestly don't know where the time is going!! Sorry about the migraine, they really are the worst!!

@kaylsd Thankyou! I'll mention it to her on Thursday at my appointment!! I feel you on the constipation, mine came back too but after a curry on Sunday I feel like I've gone more time since then than I have in the last 4 weeks😂😂

@Juno231 hahaha I feel like men don't get it sometimes do they! But we can celebrate!! So it might be different for long haul flights but when we got travel insurance last week for our holiday it said you don't declare your pregnancy, so it might be the same for you! But deffo do some research on it!

@Lexber today's the day!!! Cannot wait for the update, you'll have your babies today!! Sending all the good vibes and I hope it all goes smoothly🤞🏼❤️❤️

Lexber · 12/04/2022 12:55

Thanks ladies, appointments at 4pm so just waiting at minute... shitting my pants! 🤣 hopefully it's short and sweet but in all honesty I think we are looking tomorrow before any babies.

I know we are ready but I don't feel ready and I'm questioning myself constantly, my dads already here ready to take over the house for me and told me to relax and put my feet up a few times 🤣
My poor mum has got to have a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours from 1pm so she's cursing me as she said her BP will be sky high 🤣🤣
Today would have been my aunties birthday (mums sister) and tomorrow is my besties birthday so we will see who they want to share with...

2020mission · 12/04/2022 13:14

Good luck @Lexber! 😃

By the way just about the chat on no midwife number - I was the same. Also didn't even have badger app access or any paper notes. I was simply left with general hospital phone lines and no access to my information. It's a real shame it's so bad in some areas.

BellatrixK · 12/04/2022 13:53

Good luck today @Lexber we will all be here cheering you (and the twins!) on at 4! You’re ex sounds poisonous, but how impressive is DD to see through it? A wise young lady. Also, your dad sounds like a gem… and bad timing for your mum’s blood pressure!

@Juno231 awww! A pram suit sounds adorable! I can’t believe how far you all are, time seems to be passing so fast! The clinic said I was a day or two ahead, so they predicted EDD 15th November. Perfect timing for a school year! Exactly the same as @InkyPaper We will 100% find out the gender. DH is desperate for a boy, but I think I’d slightly prefer a girl. As soon as the 12 week scan confirms all is well, we’ll book it in.

@larrythelizard I have got my booking in appointment, 27th April when I’ll be 10+6. I’m going to push for a scan ASAP after!

@feliznavidad2 hope everything went okay. And what food did you have?

@Kate105 excellent day! No one wants shrivelled hands 😂

@Franklydear that’s exactly like my grandparents. Treats all around! They’ve just asked me which Easter eggs DH and I want this year. Love families like that.

@DKDK123 that’s a beautiful way to remember your eight. I was saying to DH recently that I feel like our losses have really changed me. Your idea is a lovely way to commemorate. I think in the future, maybe when I feel more secure with this one, I’d like to do something similar.

@kaylsd same! Really missing the sexy Duke! It seems a lot more tame this time around as well? Although I’m hooked: it’s bad and hilarious and I can’t stop watching!

I’ve been so so nauseous today, I’ve almost been sick twice. I’ve discovered crackers and cheese though and I think I’m obsessed with them. Been off food a bit for the last few days, so it’s a good find. I’m quite excited to have symptoms though- makes it so much easier to believe in

paintfairy · 12/04/2022 14:11

@Lexber Good luck today! 🍀 Thinking of you!

I'm still around- just no time to catch up! I will, when I get a sec. My antenatal classes start tonight......

kaylsd · 12/04/2022 14:56

@Vil10 I may be overdue a curry evening to assist with things on the way ;) hopefully you have a productive appointment this week anyway darling and hopefully a familiar face for you maybe? 🤞🏻
@Lexber good luck with everything today darling I'll be thinking of you, hopefully not too long for your safe arrival for your little ones!

My bestie gave birth this morning after being a week overdue & 20 hours of labour, slightly larger than predicted though on her scans of 9lb but absolutely gorgeous ❤️ seeing all the pics is making me all emotional 🥺

Minster2012 · 12/04/2022 16:38

@2020mission that's shocking!

Just saying...

There's a present for my friend in here but not sure I can part with the dinosaurs!

larrythelizard · 12/04/2022 17:39

Good luck @Lexber - I hope it's a quick one!!

Gorgeous babygrows @Minster2012 I love the Bonds stuff! My DS is Dino obsessed so will have to bear that one in mind in case it's a sister I'm growing not a brother!

Aww gorgeous @kaylsd

Pleased you've got your appt through @BellatrixK, that'll come round quick

Shocking state of things @2020mission - it shows how bad things are at the moment

Very momentous day @Kate105!

Did you make it through the GTT @feliznavidad2?

Agreed that it's all a maze, I only travelled abroad when less than 12 weeks pregnant last time @Juno231 - I rang the insurance from my bank and they basically didn't care!

2020mission · 12/04/2022 17:58

@Minster2012 those are lovely dinosaur sleep suits. Especially since they have the zips too - zips all the way!

Is it the done thing to admit ladies for inductions at 4pm?Just asking since mines was that time and a friends was too. @Lexber aww surely your mum will need to reschedule that blood pressure monitoring 😅 definitely not going to be normal today.

Lexber · 12/04/2022 18:26

Quick update as outside having a walk so have signal.

Arrived at 4pm and been on monitor as babies been a little quiet. I was having a peasant but they have changed their minds.
Basically the pessary is hormonal so they decided to use non hormonal rods to get my cervix dilating. As it’s less distressing to the babies.
She went to check me before hand and I’m already 3cm which explains the pressure so they can’t rod me as they will fall out 🤣 so I’ve had a lovely sweep and just waiting for a room as they’re putting me straight into a delivery room instead of a bay on the ward with the other woman being induced. Not sure if it will be tonight or the morning but they’re going to break my waters instead of anything else as they can reach. Just out for a walk and told to go back if pains kick in properly or my waters break 🤣

paintfairy · 12/04/2022 18:30

@Lexber 🥳 Come on babies. Fingers crossed for a smooth delivery. 🤞

Franklydear · 12/04/2022 18:32

@Lexber for when eventually you read, good luck, darling, we’re all behind you, somebody will come and make a great speech with what I want to say

InkyPaper · 12/04/2022 18:54

@Lexber eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It's all getting super exciting! Keeping everything crossed that all goes smoothly for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@2020mission that's absolute crap! Can't believe you didn't even get your notes!

@Minster2012 omg those outfits are so cute 😍 I love the dinosaur one!

@kaylsd aww congrats to your bestie!

@feliznavidad2 hope the GTT went alright!

@Kate105 wooooooooooooooop! Hurray for new dishwasher!

BellatrixK · 12/04/2022 18:59

@Lexber Good luck! How exciting!!

@Minster2012 that dinosaur outfit is absolutely adorable! Where is it from?

@2020mission that is awful. I can’t believe how dismissive some areas of maternity care are. It’s good enough.

Minster2012 · 12/04/2022 19:23

@2020mission a 2 way zip which is even better!!

Omg rodding @Lexber that does NOT sound pleasant 😂😂But whoop whoop on being 3cm come on girl you can do it!!

@larrythelizard that's what I thought get DS on side with little cute dinos!

@Kate105 I went without a dishwasher when we moved in here for 2 months. Dark times 😂

@BellatrixK they are a brand called "bonds" their wondersuit and I got them from an online Independant shop called "oh Dorothy" easy access zips all the way from the bottom upwards for really easy changing
