@BellatrixK lovely scan pic!!

@Lexber we're all here for you! not too long now until you get to meet those babies :) :) :) hope you're doing okay and have managed to have a nap this morning to make up for the 3am wake up. And sorry your ex is being a knob, pay it no mind!

@Minster2012 how's the trapped nerve? I love that your "I'm taking it easy now" posts still include taking your toddler swimming, doing ironing and mowing the lawn Grin I think we have different ideas of what "relaxing" means haha

@larrythelizard how are you feeling? have you managed to keep anything down?

@Juno231 great news on the place! a house! with a garden?! in London?!?! you've smashed it!

@bez91 I feel you on the extreme thirst, and the constant weeing. I think this is just my life now?

Going to try swimming today to help with the pelvic girdle pain, it's been really bad over the weekend. Of course this coincided with my sister visiting (first time seeing her since Covid) so she wanted to go out all around London. Oof.

BellatrixK · 11/04/2022 12:00

@Minster2012 oh no! Wee everywhere, you sound like me! Maybe you do want to be angry, but you are pregnant and he stayed late, so he needs to reconsider. Team minster all day long! Also, hope the trapped nerve pain has eased up.

@Franklydear awww your DH did really well! So lovely with the hotel. Glad that your parents are doing well and that you get to see family. Is DS loving being back?

Taken note @Kate105 this bus brings the most unexpected, and most valuable, advice.

@DKDK123 I actually laughed out loud at your nesting! I love a clean, but washing already washed clothes is extreme nesting! Love it. Definitely taking note of that bra. I’m a 36H so if I get that far (still not sure that I trust it yet!) I’ll definitely get one.

@feliznavidad2 eurghhh. The fasting stuff sounds awful. Hope you got through it okay. So glad that the lasagne scan was good!

@Lexber omgggg so exciting. It’s so so soon! I can imagine the last minute panic is stressful, but really you know that you are very organised and there’s always Amazon prime for anything last minute. Your chill day with Mr B sounds perfect.

@bez91 100% return to bed. Sundays are for rest and you did a lot in the morning. I hope that you did!

@larrythelizard I hope that you are feeling better? Definitely call your midwife if not. How exciting that your baby and their cousin will be so close in age! I’m really excited that my brother has a 2 and 1 year old, so if this all works out, they’ll be close in age.

@Vil10 you are timing everything so perfectly! Got you get the house news ASAP to confirm everything. But decorating and new sofas all planned is great. We have 1 room that we are in the middle of painting, but we got new doors on the fitted wardrobes and they are taking so much time with 4 coats of paint and sanding. DH is working his way through it slowly! I’m normally really fast, but he’s stopped me going up ladders 2 weeks ago!

@whatwonder oh no! A trek around London will not help with pain! Swimming (and lots of rest!) should help.

So, my first day off for Easter today, got up at 6:30 to walk the puppy with DH, nearly vomited in the park (the nausea is real now). DH has banned me from painting wardrobes, which has been my go to on a holiday when I have no plans. So, I’ve made a blanket den on the sofa, with a brew and the pup, and I’m loving it. Watching the new Bridgerton.

Franklydear · 11/04/2022 12:15

@BellatrixK ds is at the moment deep in minecraft with the cousins, he loves it here cos nobody says no to him, cookies before lunch? no problem, what, chocolate for dinner? sure, mum will be on board with that, of course....
I am team @Minster2012 too, surely he should be grovelling, and someone tape this woman to a lounging chair, it’s the only way she will actually stop

Lexber · 11/04/2022 13:13

So I was still awake at 4.30am when I accidentally dropped my phone behind the bed so I thought fuck it I will try and sleep again... think I was awake maybe another hour or so, woke to wee and moved the bed to retrieve it at 7.30... and then cat napped until my 9am alarm as I needed to shower and had Tesco delivery booked 10-11. Told youngest (front of house bedroom) to keep an ear out just in case and yup it was early and I was in the shower 🤦🏽‍♀️

@bez91 some days I have extreme thirst then others nothing! And I have to force myself to drink! It's weird..

@larrythelizard I do wonder how some days including this morning when they're arguing over stupid ass things! Congratulations to your sister!!
Try and rest and eat/drink where you can and if you still feel rubbish a check in won't hurt even if to just check you aren't dehydrated xx
@feliznavidad2 Tuesday is now tomorrow- how the hell did that happen?!?!

@Juno231 at this moment in time I'm aiming for a natural birth... he is very head down!! So Altho induction starts tomorrow there no promise of babies tomorrow... Altho OH has said for weeks they're coming on 13th April which is Wednesday even before my induction was booked... 😬

@Vil10 if acid gets worse or continues please don't suffer in silence they can give you something that's a miracle worker and really helps! I've been taking them daily since about 18/19 weeks

@Minster2012 I know all of what you say is true but try telling a nervous normal woman that 🤣 we all got up and cleaned together from 10am, lots of arguments between the kids but 🖕🏼 it's much better than it was that's for sure and fridge is now full for my dad even tho he told me not to worry. I just need to feel organised and ready as that's all I have control over right now.. as for the ex 🙄 my ASD daughter came home believing we didn't want her around and were trying to get rid of her at any opportunity thanks to her dad's vicious tongue (yet her is the one that keeps asking for me to have her over the weekend extra on his days...) oh and also told her I need to spend more time
With her 🤣🤣🤣 what a joke!! I do all the hard work, school, life and he has her about 100 days a year.. Altho apparently he's a 50/50 parent... hmmmm ok then dickhead!!
I was a bit like that last night tbh, Altho I was more upset than angry and it didn't matter who said what I just wanted to cry so I sat and cried quite a bit. Emotions definitely got me yesterday and tiredness today prob won't help!

No nap @whatwonder as been cleaning but sat down now as need to eat (had a few biscuits so far today which I know isn't enough!) I wish I could ignore him so easily but when he puts ideas in my daughters mind which match the fears we've already had about her feeling pushed out by the twins 😔 we had a good chat last night and I explained as best you can to an autistic high functioning 11 yr old that OH is an amazing stepdad to them both but soon he is going to be a dad and we're both worried that they'd feel left out as the babies will need more of our time initially and she stopped me and said "he isn't my stepdad, he's my dad" that says it all - she isn't wanting to see her dad as it is so I've agreed I won't ask him again to have her any extra days than the weekend he has her and she was happy about that.. I give it 2 years before she refuses to go full stop

@BellatrixK when not if lady!! And that sounds awesome ice and comfy, I've downloaded Bridgerton for the hospital as I'm expecting lots of waiting about and planning an epidural as there's no chance my hips will handle labour and birth of 2 babies, they couldn't handle bedtime last night!

whatwonder · 11/04/2022 13:56

@Lexber he sounds like a total prick, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that right now! sounds like you're doing everything you can - you are a fab mum and your daughters are very lucky! honestly shocking behaviour from your ex - not even a shred of empathy. hmpfh.

bez91 · 11/04/2022 14:02

Oh lovely @larrythelizard congrats to your sis! Hope the migraine didn't come?

@Vil10 I think it's a thing in certain places having a named person to contact. Not here too either, I've seen about 20 different midwives and 6 different consultants which has so far been ok but the last consultant was a bit of a twat and DH took an instant disliking to him 🙈 I just have the midwife base number and pregnancy assessment unit at the local hospital. Really hope you get your moving date soon 🤞🏼

@Juno231 weeks before a period of relaxation always seem manic but it will be worth it! That's what I keep telling myself, 3 weeks of work to go!

@Minster2012 your DH surely needs a long to do list to make it up to you and get back in those good books? I had a relaxing hour or so on the sofa but with rib and back pain I struggle to get comfy. I have DD today and could do it with a nap 🙈 yes no induction needed atm unless things change so just a waiting game, I can tell fluid has reduced as my tummy isn't as hard and stretched.
I am with you on the wee covering hand, it's getting worse the more pregnant I am as it's just impossible to see what you're doing isn't it, hope you're not there too long it's like a proper day trip 🤦🏼‍♀️

@whatwonder ouch for all the London walking, hopefully swimming will help out

@BellatrixK sounds ideal, let DH take the reins whilst he still has the enthusiasm and you chill 🙌🏼

Super excited for you @Lexber 😬

Today I must get the rest of my hospital bag sorted, it's something I keep putting off for some reason but DD says she's going to help me so hopefully she'll motivate me 😆

DKDK123 · 11/04/2022 14:24

@larrythelizard I second what others have said and let your mw know you've been so ill if it persists, although just read on that you kept everything down yesterday touch wood that's you over the worst now 🤞 Exciting about your sisters baby, it'll be lovely to have the cousins grow up so close in age 🥰

@feliznavidad2 glad lasagne scan went well, dont worry they're never overly clear and the babies like to play up either hiding behind hands or wriggling too much.

@lexber jsut echoing what everyone else has said about your worries, all totally normal, we've all got your back hopefully the nerves turn to excitement tomorrow and once you get to see and cuddle your little babies all will be forgotten.
It brought a wee tear to my eye reading what your DS said about her stepdad being her dad, says it all really and hopefully reassures you a bit that despite the poison her biological dad may be trying to fill her head with, she knows where she's loved and feels secure 🥰

@bez91 I manage a loo trip every 20mins even without drinking that much water 😂 Drinking lots is normal but also mention it to your mw if it's came on all of a sudden and persists just incase it's gestational diabetes.

@Vil10 tha acid reflux will probably only get worse rather than better the further on you are so rather than suffer get onto the GP now to get prescribed some meds, they're amazing. They begin with an 'O' but can't remember the name off the top of my head. I think it depends on each place if you get the same midwife or not, I know mine you're not assigned a midwife your assigned to a team which could be any one of a number of them so feels like it's a different person every time I go. But I do have a number for the team office, they do say most times you'll get no answer as everyone is seeing clients but you can leave a message and one of the team does get back to you so hopefully yours will have something like that. Your OHs paternity leave sounds great 😊

@Franklydear I love that you can just whip up a quick bag 😂

@Juno231 sounds like you've got a busy but exciting time ahead!

Hoping you've not been kept waiting too long today @minster2012. Your OH should know better than to say anything other than 'yes you're right dear' to a pregnant lady!

@whatwonder can't belive you walked around London with PGP ouch you must be in agony afterwards! I cry after walking any more than 5mins these days 🙈 can't wait till baby's born and I can just walk everywhere with the pram pain free (well after the section wound heals)

@bellatrixK enjoy the relaxing while you can, good excuse to sit and catch up on boxsets.

I've been super emotional today, no idea why but just couldn't shake the memories of all the times seeing those positive tests and them not making it. But not in a making me scared this one isn't going to make it way more in a once this baby's born I feel like I'm erasing those 8 little ones that didn't make it like they never existed but I had hopes and dreams for all of them and they were still my little babies that i dont think i ever took the proper time to grieve over at the time as it was all too much. It sounds crazy I know thinking about it now when I finally have a successful healthy one on the way, but I just couldn't stop bawling my eyes out over it for hours 🙈 So I've ordered 8 little resin stars that I can keep in a memory box just so that I have some form of acknowledgment that they were all very much wanted and part of our journey and family too.

Franklydear · 11/04/2022 14:36

@DKDK123 that’s lovely, do you have a little box to keep them in, or I can make you a little satchel in your preferred colours, give me some details of what you would like🥰

DKDK123 · 11/04/2022 17:12

Aww @Franklydear that is such a touching offer thank you for thinking of me 🥰 I already have a memory box that I put things in, I think I might get a box frame and print off a nice quote stick the stars to it and frame it (but keep the frame in the memory box not on display, it's just a wee thing for me to remember)

Franklydear · 11/04/2022 17:19

@DKDK123 the frame sounds a great way to keep it and look at them, if you think of anything you would like to include in the box, I'll make it for you, just tell me 🥰

Minster2012 · 11/04/2022 17:31

Sorry for silence after appointment today I've been so wiped out

All ok don't worry, the blood flow scan was all good, amniotic fluid still low so still being monitored but the midwife said mid scan "the baby is v still how have the movement's been?" And I had to admit I said to DH this morning that she wasn't moving much yesterday morning or this morning so hooked up to the monitor but despite being quiet on that to start with as soon as her daddy called me it was party time so all ok here

@whatwonder yeah i do actually need to relax a bit more, I know that but the pain is making me stop a bit too. The swimming will def help you, it helped me on Saturday

@BellatrixK sounds like a sofa day was just what you needed

@Franklydear he doesn't do grovelling & it's not that bad he doesn't need to, but he got up early before work to walk the dogs this morning then came back at lunch to run with them whilst I've been at the hospital & it's decently clean at home afterwards so he's doing his thing 😂I'm writing the to do list for this weekend @bez91 & yes it includes restaining the outdoor furniture 😂 how's the bag??

@DKDK123 I think the stars are such a lovely idea, and crying is a natural reaction. I am going to plant 2 roses or similar for my losses so I totally get it 🥰was it you that recommended the front fastening bras? I'd not thought of that I think that's a good idea!

@Juno231 that's great for DH then, so would he get paid for the full shared if he did it first? Obviously infeasible but still 😂god it's all systems go for you then that's sooooo exciting!! Get on it!! Loving how it's come together ❤️

@Lexber urgh just urgh on what ex has been saying.

InkyPaper · 11/04/2022 18:15

@DKDK123 big hugs for you ❤️ the stars you've ordered sound like a lovely way to remember them

@larrythelizard sucks you had to miss the wedding
Glad you're finally able to keep some food down, it sounds like you've had a bloody horrible few days!! Hope you manage to avoid the migraine 🤞🏻

@Lexber wtf is actually wrong with your ex?! You sound like an amazing mum and he needs to keep his nasty mouth shut! Big hugs ❤️ Super excited for you about tomorrow, but don't blame you for being nervous - it's all very real!!

@Vil10 Hurray for new sofas! Definitely speak to the midwives if the acid reflux continues though, they might be able to prescribe you omeprazole or something to help with it. It's so lovely that your OH has been able to rearrange his schedule to have more time with you and baby in the evenings 😊 so do you not have a number for the midwifery unit at all? Or is it just that you don't have a named midwife? (I've no idea how it works)

@Franklydear I love that you were able to make yourself a bag!

@Minster2012 sounds like you've had a super stressful day - has DH redeemed himself yet?

@whatwonder did the swimming help with your pain any? Hope it's eased it off a bit

@BellatrixK a blanket den on the sofa sounds like an ideal way to spend the day!

Had to drop into the doctors today to do a swab as I don't think the cream is actually getting rid of the thrush 😩 honestly felt like I'd inserted a splintery stick up there 🙈 to add insult to injury I had to park bloody miles away too as the road the doctors is on was shut. Nausea is getting to me today as well, DH is cooking tea because the thought of it 🤢🤢🤢

Vil10 · 11/04/2022 18:48

@Juno231 the lender is still happy to proceed after seeing the coal mining report so we just need to get a few quotes together for house insurance tonight then hopefully we'll have the date in these next few days🤞🏼 ooo a surprise scan, that's always a bonus!! Your trip to the states will be amazing!! Also try and keep the faith about Friday the 13th, we fly back from our holiday on that day and I'm trying to think positive😂

@Minster2012 I really can't fault his work, they've been amazing!! My mum cried at the early scan she came to never mind this one😂 glad all is okay with baby girl, keeping you on your toes clearly!!

@BellatrixK it's bitter sweet when they stop you from doing things isn't it, like you understand why but you just want to get it done! Hopefully they'll be done soon! Your blanket day sounds lovely, enjoy!

@Lexber @DKDK123 Thankyou for the advice on the medication they can give for acid reflux, it's got worse throughout the day and makes me hold my throat it's getting that bad😫 I'm going to ring up tomorrow!

@bez91 I find it strange some people have loads of different midwives and others have the same one, I mean wouldn't it be ideal if we could have the same one throughout?? Hate when you instantly get a bad vibe from someone you have to deal with!!

@DKDK123 makes complete sense being emotional, but you aren't forgetting those little ones you lost, just focusing on the lovely miracle you have! I think getting something for your memory box is a lovely idea! Sending you hugs❤️

@InkyPaper it's been a nightmare honestly, it seems to have calmed down now though but it burns so bad!! He's really insistent on spending as much time with the baby as possible, his dad was never in his life until he was 3 and then was very inconsistent and still is and he's a bellend so basically taught OH how not to do it! I don't have a number for anyone😫 no midwife, no team, no unit, literally just the hospital and triage numbers that are on the badger notes app!! I hope yours is better than mine!! Urghh sorry to hear the thrush isn't easing and the nausea, it's like a double whammy!!

Minster2012 · 11/04/2022 20:28

@InkyPaper did you get a pessary too? I needed that to get rid of it, they said I could request it if I needed but thankfully just about didn't. Eek the nausea isn't ideal. DH just about redeemed himself by doing the two dog walks today without me asking he came back at lunch to take them for a run too when I was still out

Oh yes and @Juno231 & @Vil10 my mum was born on Friday 13th (of may) so we don't have any bad luck thoughts here

InkyPaper · 11/04/2022 21:05

@Minster2012 nope, without a prescription I was only allowed to get the cream and the doctor didn't want to do the prescription without the swab. Glad DH has redeemed himself somewhat!

Minster2012 · 11/04/2022 21:10

Ahhh right @InkyPaper I didn't go down the Doctor route I bought the canestan OTC but my consultant then said when I asked the next time I saw them, if your doctor doesn't play ball I'd def recommend getting it anyway. No one wants a splintery stick up their faff 😂

larrythelizard · 11/04/2022 21:21

Whoop for 6 months @Vil10 - your pic was lovely! That feels ages away for me but is only 2.5weeks...where is time going?!

I'm not superstitious (apart from some weird old wives tales) @Juno231 - I think it all sounds like a great plan, Friday 13th is meaningless! Jealous of your holiday, ours was chosen around toddler facilities and proximity to a beach...! The road trip we did around California a good few years ago was one of the best holidays we've had!

Ouch @whatwonder!

I can't remember @BellatrixK have you got your booking in appt date through? I started bridgerton today too!

I just think your ex sounds jealous you've moved on @Lexber - your DD clearly sees through him!

Hope DD helped with your hospital bag @bez91 - what did she pack for you?!

@DKDK123 I think it's so natural to think what might have been, I think all of us who've had any losses could tell you the age those babies would be now. I love how you're commemorating them, it's lovely.

Nothing better than a vaginal swab for the dr @InkyPaper but hope it gets you sorted, thrush is vile - pre pregnancy my neighbour and I used to swap thrush treatments depending on who needs them and and who has them in stock!

Pleased all is well @Minster2012

As predicted, migraine hit today, think I've just about dealt with it though so hopefully only one day that's a write off this week.

Will talk to the midwife when I see her next, not due to until 25w though which is a few weeks off - I have less appointments this time round than 1st time.

Reshuffle at work so I have a new boss (yet to be announced) so will need to have the awkward 'I'm pregnant' chat all over again. Sigh.

kaylsd · 11/04/2022 21:32

@vil10 I think your doing right thing mentioning it to your midwife on Thursday, can’t believe how much it varies between trust to trust! The medication you need to route for is called omeprazole; it’s first line used in pregnancy with reflux 😘 it’s most likely to get worse than better so best of nipping it in the bud as and when you can darling!
@lexber I second everything what’s been said already, you are an amazing mama and will be an amazing mama to all your little ones including your twins ❤️ good luck with tomorrow xxx
@bellatrixK ah god damn nausea! Ginger helps alot of people :) I hope you enjoy Bridgerton! I didn’t rate it this time round but I think it’s because I had duke withdrawals
@DKDK123 what a beautiful idea with your memory box of each star representing your angel looking over your rainbow 🥺❤️
@inkypaper sorry to hear that your thrush is lingering 😔 have you tried all the old wives tales too with thrush what they used to recommend in day like Greek yoghurt and coconut oil? 🙈
@minster2012 so glad to hear little one is doing okay after having her lay ins on a morning with sounds of things🙈

My MN won’t fully load 😔 just finished work, TMI but constipation has returned like the devil 😑 god damn you painful pebble drops 🙃🤣

Franklydear · 11/04/2022 22:04

@Minster2012 DH doesn't grovel either, he'll also do something nice unasked, so I now wondering what's he done, due the hotel? or is he just being nice, does that happen?
The bag turned up ok, very basic, but it'll do the job, pic in insta
@Lexber parenting autistic children is so hard, cos they are hard to fool, sure your dad can see through his dad and if she chooses not to see him and have DH as dad, good on her, it took me ages to be able to see through and cut toxic people out of my life, so I applaud her, and you, for having such a secure and grounded daughter, it ain't a coincidence, you know it

larrythelizard · 11/04/2022 22:15

Oh and massive good luck for tomorrow @Lexber here's to a straightforward delivery of your twinnies!

OP posts:
DKDK123 · 12/04/2022 02:59

Eek the day is finally here @lexber! 🥳 I hope the excitement of finally getting to meet your babies (hopefully either today or tomorrow) is taking over all the worries now. I hope those little babies are just as impatient to meet you and don't keep you waiting too long after youre induced. 🤞You've got a whole bus behind you supporting you all the way 🥰

feliznavidad2 · 12/04/2022 06:57

Thinking of you today @Lexber won't be long and you'll have your beautiful babes in your arms! x

Juno231 · 12/04/2022 07:05

@Lexber eek today is D-day!! Best of luck and just think how amazing that you'll see your gorgeous babies so soon 🥰. Soz I forgot that you're not having a C-section, must've mixed you up with one of the many ladies on here that have them scheduled!

@Minster2012 I will say your OH seems to have a hell of a lot more nights out pretending to be child free than you do!

Ah and yes, if I'd wanted to go back to work straight after my mandatory mat leave my husband would have had 6 months paid leave. It's the same for men at my company. I think at FILs company you get paid paternity leave for up to 6 months that's available regardless if mum takes hers/and not counted as shared parental leave.

@Vil10 I forgot to say, happy viability day! I'm looking forward to mine next week but OH doesn't seem to get it at all 😅

@clolo we haven't heard from you in a while but congratulations on your wedding!!

@InkyPaper boo for thrush! It's unreal how we get stuck with crappy things like thrush and utis when pregnant!

@BellatrixK continuous eating when nauseous helps apparently 😅 some of my friends literally slept with crackers on their bedside tables so they could eat before getting out of bed/also in the middle of the night

Gah I still need to book travel insurance for Fri - i hate trying to figure out the policies though to see if they cover pregnancy or not...

Minster2012 · 12/04/2022 07:49

@Lexber it's starting today it's starting today it's starting today (let's hope it ends today too!) 🥳💃🏼

@Juno231 he does get time off having fun, a fair chunk of it but it's only cos he's more social than I am 😂I have child free days & nights but often prefer to have a bath & stay in. I have a spa day this day though which I'm so looking forwards to. Wow I'm so impressed at all these firms, that's really good, must remember to push encourage DS at school 😂

I def think the omeprazole has really helped me, the heartburn basically gone which is fab. I got myself a foam roller thing & doing exercises every other day which has loosened the nerve thing making it a bit better at least, bearable

whatwonder · 12/04/2022 08:03

good luck today @Lexber ! thinking of you xx
