Hey ladies, sorry for not being on for a few days, I've had a busy few days but I have been reading through! We finally ordered our sofas over the weekend and they'll be with us around the 2nd week of July so before baby which is great and gives us time to decorate in the living room beforehand, we're hopefully getting a move in date today too🤞🏼 I've been really struggling with acid reflux this weekend, seems better this morning though, must've been the pint of milk I had last night! I'm 24 weeks today and feeling really good and positive about hitting the important milestone🥳 got my midwife app on Thursday so I'm going to mention about not having anyone to contact directly if I have worries etc and that I'd like a number for them (or even to just see the same midwife would be nice, I've seen 2 different ones so far)
@BellatrixK so glad everything went well at your scan!! That's a real baby in there🥳
@Minster2012 it's bad isn't it, I've spoken to a few girls I know and they don't have numbers for the midwives either, I just don't understand?? They've kind of left us in the dark and on our own, I'd literally be clueless who to ring if I needed anything! How's the trapped nerve now??
@bez91 so glad the scan went well and baby is doing great! And no induction either, great news! Very true on the swimming, I felt so lightweight it was amazing😂
@kaylsd Amazing that you only have a few weeks left of face to face work!! And so good that they're taking good care of you!!
@larrythelizard Sorry to hear your nausea has returned!! Weird because my retching has got worse again and I'm doing it after food/mid conversation as well as when I'm brushing my teeth🥴 hope you start to feel better soon x
@Minster2012 completely understandable feeling emotional like that! You deserve this beautiful rainbow🌈
@Juno231 ahhh amazing news on the house!! Everything is working out well! So happy for you x
@feliznavidad2 loved the lasagne scan pic!!
@Lexber like others have said I think it's all completely natural to feel like this especially with twins, but you've done everything you can and got as organised as possible, you'll be amazing, don't worry about anything else❤️
I've booked a lasagne scan in for 29+4, as we're on holiday when I'm 28 weeks, and we can only really do fridays as OH finishes at dinner then and we want our mums to come and his mum works Saturdays, but I got told a lasagne scan is good anytime from 27-32 weeks!
As for paternity leave/pay, we've been really lucky that OH works for a big company and he's worked there for 12 years now so gets quite a few benefits, he gets 2 weeks paid leave then he had 10 holidays he had to use before March but his boss has let him carry them over so 5 will be for moving in and 5 for when the baby arrives so he'll be off for 3 weeks if I have a normal birth but his boss has also said he'll throw a few days in for him if I have a section if OH just works an extra few weekends than what he usually does! Also if OH goes into work earlier he can leave earlier so he's already started getting into the routine of getting up at 5:30, walking the dogs, going to the gym and sauna, then work, then he's home from work by 3:30/4 and has done the gym so that'll be great for when he is back at work after the baby because he'll still have plenty of time in the late afternoon/evenings with the baby!
