@larrythelizard ah feck! I'm so sorry you're feeling that kind of poorly AND missed the wedding. Hope it passes quickly

@Minster2012 aaaw look at you nesting and being so emosh. Just think how mind blowing it'll be to finally meet her after all this heartache 🥰

Ladies I won't be homeless! Third time lucky - a place accepted our offer today and I'm so pleased as it's actually ended up being a little house with a garden and for cheaper than the two flats we'd bid on. I'm very excited as when we move I'll finally be able to do a little bit of nesting ❤️. Also omg it has a bath so I'll be living in that tub 😂

becarefuloutthere · 08/04/2022 17:14

@whatwonder ferro dose is the name!

@Minster2012 I could do, couldn't I. There's just so much to watch at mo, feel spoilt for choice 😂 haha now that's dedication to a series!
Aww that sounds very emotional but I'm guessing quite Cathartic too. ♥️

@Juno231 well this is just wonderful news! 👏🏾 so happy for you! X

Kate105 · 08/04/2022 17:54

YAY @Juno231 🥳 third time lucky!

Ik @larrythelizard hope it's over and done with now though...

Ah @Minster2012 that's such a lovely thing ❤️ you've made it through!

Dishwasher ordered. Also did a big shop (Aldi but still hit £50). Feeling very poor. The dishwasher literally cost half of what I got paid this month on statutory maternity pay 😭😬🙈 I think I was better off as a student!

Minster2012 · 08/04/2022 18:32

@Juno231 that's such good news!! Having just got out the bath 🛀 I can wholeheartedly recommend just staying in there 😂, once you're done with sitting in the garden that is!

@Kate105 it's horrible isn't it, but worth it thank god. On the may Facebook group last night there was a discussion about how much paternity everyone's OHs were taking. There were a large amount of ppl who's OHs got between 4-12 weeks FULL PAY. Unfortunately they weren't sheep farmers. There were a few in IT/tech. Def gonna push encourage X in that technical way in the future 😂, shame DH & I are so crap at technical stuff

Minster2012 · 08/04/2022 18:33

@becarefuloutthere it was quite cathartic, I feel prepped now. Just bags to finish & blinds to put up when my mum's finished them!

InkyPaper · 09/04/2022 08:55

Oof that sounds nasty @larrythelizard are you feeling a little better today?

@Minster2012 haha fair enough then! I hate ironing so much 😂 aww big hugs 🤗 not long now till baby will be here in your arms ❤️ omg how much paternity?!?! Where are they working?! I think it's just the basic two weeks at DHs workplace

@Juno231 wooooooooooooooop!! Hurray for not being homeless! So glad you found a place 🙌

@Kate105 maternity pay is just nothing, isn't it? 🙈

bez91 · 09/04/2022 10:54

Morning ladies, my MN is a bit weird and can only see back to yesterday then skips to Monday so sorry if I've missed anything.

@DKDK123 try not to let the lack of memories dishearten you. I have very little memory of DDs birth too even though I had taken nothing but paracetamol and was very much conscious throughout, I think adrenaline plays a big part in screwing your memory - I still ask DH now to fill in the gaps. Emily will get here safe and sound.

@kaylsd your auntie 😂 I'm not that convinced that I'd buy boy things but definitely saw something dangling, like I say could be the umbilical cord 🙈 wow 4 weeks left patient facing that's mad, will you still be going into work or can you WFH in any capacity?

@InkyPaper hope you got your phone call and you're now sorted

Poor Vera @Kate105 it all comes at once doesn't it 🤦🏼‍♀️ we got a new car last year and just realised both cars are due tax, MOT, insurance and services next month. Ideal timing with baby too!

Oh @larrythelizard that sounds horrible, gutted you missed the wedding. Hope you're feeling ok today 💕

@Juno231 glad it all worked out with the house, lots more room I bet for you all!

@Minster2012 4-12 weeks full pay wow! What will your DH do? My DH is public sector so usually good benefits but still only 2 weeks full pay, he'll take and just work flexibly afterwards for a few weeks then plans on taking a week off every 4 weeks or so throughout summer

@Lexber hope you're ok 😬

Franklydear · 09/04/2022 10:55

I am home ladies, you’ll have to excuse me, I read what I can and will say hi every so often

BellatrixK · 09/04/2022 11:05

@larrythelizard oh no. So sorry that you’re so unwell. Hopefully it’s a bug that leaves quickly, especially if you’re traveling. I would LOVE a second freezer. Ours is so big, but jammed full I can never find anything… but we have no garage, so I don’t think we’ll be getting one. Maybe an organise is necessary!

@Minster2012 awww! I’m so glad that the sunshine is here for you. You deserve it so much. Enjoy the nesting … and the emotions if you can!

@Juno231 yesssss! Third times a charm! And it’s worked out so perfectly. I’m so pleased for you.

@Kate105 I’m actually ignoring maternity pay. I honestly am still in shock that I don’t get paid in full for 9 months.

@InkyPaper so my booking in appointment is at 10+6, 27th April. I don’t find out about my 12 week scan until after that. I’m hoping they can book it in really soon after! I’m impatient now!

@Franklydear hope that the rest of your trip was lovely.

@Lexber thinking of you!

@bez91 mine was like that too! Might be a glitch?

Ladies, I fell asleep before taking progesterone last night. I popped it in about 5am. Is this okay? Also (TMI warning) I had a blob of jelly like, slightly yellow mucus this morning. Has anyone had anything like that? It’s proper shaken me, just after I felt so good after the scan.

Lexber · 09/04/2022 12:45

@Minster2012 I thought OH was lucky to get 1 week full pay then the 2nd SPP, he's then taking 2 weeks holiday at full pay so we would only be down 1/2 a week in first month (I get 6 week full pay, 12 week half then SMP but even then I've been saving money aside for topping me up!)

@Juno231 that's great stuff!! Glad you will have a lovely little home before baby comes ❤️ and beautiful announcement on Instagram xx

Oh is on a "do shit" day, I think he is panicking a little that we have things still to do before babies arrive, non of which actually needs doing before BUT will make him feel better lol
He is off now for a month but as a trades man as my induction is Tuesday is working for a friend who's been after him a while tomorrow and Sunday for a bit of extra cash (more than cover his pat leave loss) so technically his last day of freedom... 🤣
I on the other hand have been laid in bed cuddling the 🐈‍⬛ cat but I'm hungry now so going to get up and be in his way for a while I think...

@bez91 it's great the fluids have sorted themselves but I know what you mean about changing plans, we were told 37 weeks at first appointment so when at 28 weeks another one said 38 I was a bit annoyed as starting to struggle and that felt hard to get there, so when the twin consultant saw me 3 week later she was not happy he had changed things from 2-3wk checks and put me on weekly with possible 36 wk induction which its stayed.
It's a positive sign but frustrating if you have mentally prepared yourself for a earlier date.

Lexber · 09/04/2022 12:46

Still here and still pregnant 🤣🤣🤰

Franklydear · 09/04/2022 14:14

All good here, only popping in for @Lexber updates

Minster2012 · 09/04/2022 15:15

Catching up...

@InkyPaper a couple were in IT for large US firms or large British ones (so also on a shitload if money too im thinking) but a lot seemed to get 4 weeks but didn't really say where they worked, our company just do the 2 weeks, @Juno231 did say your DH is sharing yours with you /got a good amount?

@bez91 I can imagine public sector being good & flexible too. Mine will essentially take 2 weeks off but he will have to go in a few days & always "on call". But I'm hoping then it's the jubilee weekend so will be off a bit more too as our office is closed but we have loads of stuff out & drivers working so again on call 🙄I can't complain though as he SHOULD be able to do what he wants, he just usually works as a result of that 😂

@BellatrixK i wouldn't worry about the progesterone, you still took it and then if you take your other later then it's still a good time in between. I forgot a few times. Can't help with the blob though 🤣

@Lexber still pregnant!! I like that OH is "doing shit" he's nesting/shitting himself by the sounds of it 😂I think you & mr bigglesworth should just chill & enjoy!!

DH at rugby this afternoon so X & I been swimming which is so nice to get off my feet & nerve. Might try do the lawn mowing now though

Minster2012 · 09/04/2022 15:19

Oh and a "not so" funny story as DS & I were going to the loo before swimming he went first then I was on the loo (so swimming costume fully down, tits out) & of course he ran to the door & opened it fully so I was on display to a group of older kids & their parents waiting to go into the "fun inflatable session"

FML 🤦🏼‍♀️

feliznavidad2 · 09/04/2022 16:14

Ahh @Minster2012 hope the swimming made up for your naked err incident. Cut yourself some slack lady, lawn mowing too?! 😮

Sorry to hear you're poorly @larrythelizard 😫 hope you're feeling a little better today and have conquered the journey home. x

Glad to hear all ok @Lexber and that you're still in camp preggo for now. Agree you should spend time with your beautiful cat relaxing... 😌 Bless OH and his doing stuff day!

@Kate105 that's rubbish about your dishwasher 🙈 and your poor car. Hope you can find a not too costly solution. 🤞🏻🥴

Think your feelings are totally understandable given what you've been through before, your outlook seems really positive though and we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for your relaxed nice section date @DKDK123

Missed it before, lovely scan pic @BellatrixK 🥰 what a relief for you

Hope you're feeling ok and umm the thrush has been sorted @InkyPaper mine has now disappeared touch wood 😬

All ok here, been back at work since Thursday as now clear of COVID. Got my glucose tolerance thing on Tuesday and 28 week midwife appt on Thursday. Little lady wiggling away here, such a wriggler compared to what DS was. Laying on the bed and could have a quick zzz but will try and muddle through until bedtime. Hope you all have nice weekends. 😌🌤

Minster2012 · 09/04/2022 17:40

@feliznavidad2 it's a ride on so legit child friendly (both DS sitting on with me) & baby friendly activity for an hour or so?! Hopefully, til it sends me into early Labour I guess! I'm hoping it might nudge her off my nerve?? It's danger nap time for all I think!! Though I could fall asleep at various points I then don't sleep at night 😬does that mean it's a starving thing on Tuesday?

Kate105 · 09/04/2022 17:54

I'm with @Franklydear just checking in for @Lexber updates 😂 will come back later for proper craic!

Kate105 · 09/04/2022 19:06

Right I'm back! Haha so sorry about the impromptu nudity @Minster2012 but I'm sure you rocked it 😂

Urgh on the paternity leave thing. H got one week paid, one week statutory 🙄 he works for a charity though (sheep farming is all the bloody time evenings and weekends) so I guess they're a bit poorer than the IT sector! Definitely need PTSD to get his shit together in school so he can become a big city banker or something to fund my retirement holidays...

Public service TMI announcement for those of you yet to pop... I wish I'd known about this six months ago! So I've been dry as a bone down there since PTSD arrived, basically because of all the BF hormones. Sex has been basically non existent, even since I stopped being so tired, because even with all the lube it's just no good 😭 until now! I have discovered vaginal moisturiser which is a real medical thing (and not just something dodgy to give you thrush lol) and omg it's made all the difference. Thank fuck but why don't people talk about this and why don't they tell you these things?! Feeling a bit daft that I've just put up with this for six months because "that's just how it is".... it doesn't have to be at all! This would not happen if men had babies.

Minster2012 · 09/04/2022 20:49

@Kate105 I was rocking certainly (to get all the wee out!) right then missus you gotta tell us about this wonder moisturiser! There's so many things ppl don't talk about, don't say, that's why we need you guys! And yeah charity & sheep farming on the side does not make a great paternity mix 😂

kaylsd · 09/04/2022 21:21

@minster2012 it’s not long now until the moment you get to see your rainbow at the end of a hard tunnel for you, she’ll be in your arms before you know it! Nesting can be an emotional time for many, just shows how hard you’ve fought for the moment so embrace each bit of the journey 😍❤️
@kate105 sorry to hear about the bad luck with the car and things, I find it always ends up coming all at once or at least in a set of 3 of bad luck! Thank you for your honest open issue with dryness with your lady’s bits, it just shows what we may think might be part of the parcel can be rectified! Hopefully you feel back normal down there now your on the right path with the moisturiser :)
@bez91 sadly I can’t work from home 🥺 I’ve been poached by the palative care team at my trust to engage with training staff members of symptom control in end of life care patients & syringe driver management as they’ve seen how well I handle situations with stuff like that so least I’m not doing something I won’t be enjoying! My maternity uniforms showed up today.. just for 4 weeks use anyway 🤣🙈 my MN has also being playing up the exactly the same!
@lexber happy to hear your still pregnant, you can do this little ones until Tuesday hopefully🤞🏻
@feliznavidad2 glad to hear your covid free now and back to some form of normality, hope you have a lovely weekend too ❤️

Just finished work and off tomorrow but back on Monday so going to try make the best of the weekend of going on a nice dog walk and a Sunday roast once the plasterer has left ( 2/3 rooms complete now and the last one currently half way done, hallway and landing to replaster then decorating can properly start!) Just laid in the bath and it’s amazing to see little bump movements in the bath enough to make the water wave a little bit 🤣 keeping me company since DH is passed out after being out for the national all afternoon 🙃 I made the most of the grand national doing a sweep with my patients sat watching it with them cheering it on so they’ll remember how they watched it this year 🙈😘 have a lovely weekend ladies xx

feliznavidad2 · 09/04/2022 21:33

Ride on lawn mowing sounds fab @Minster2012 ! Hope it moved the babe in to a comfort spot.

Yep, fasting from 9pm Monday until after testing on Tuesday am... I feel for those who will be around me. The hunger is strong at the moment. 😬

InkyPaper · 09/04/2022 22:13

@BellatrixK don't panic! Off white/yellow discharge could just be a funny pessary lump or start of thrush (that's how mine started). If it continues, speak to your GP, but shouldn't be anything sinister 🤗 oh 10+6 isn't too bad, I'll be 11+5 for mine so I'm definitely praying the scan comes through quickly! My letter said it should be within 3 weeks of the booking in appointment

@bez91 I did indeed get all sorted, thanks 😊

@feliznavidad2 hurray for being covid (and thrush) free! I am definitely feeling better with the cream, just hoping it takes care of things completely 🤞🏻

@Minster2012 omg 🙈 don't kids just have the best timing?!

@Kate105 please share all the tmi stuff! Forewarned is forearmed and all that 😄

Lexber · 10/04/2022 00:01

Hahaha @Franklydear still pregnant and actually been out for the evening (most definitely last one for a while!) with my bestie to see Ru Pauls UK Drag race (I got her tickets last April for her 40th) I honestly didn't think I'd be going...
it was a great show and my SIL works at the venue so changed our seats to the best ones with extra leg room and better views 👍🏼🤰 absolutely exhausted now though so definitely a lay in tomorrow

@Minster2012 The cuddles were with Sox (14 months) as Mr Bigglesworth was too busy climbing the curtains and trying to eat my toes 🤣🤣
I managed to finally get around to sorting all the baby shower gifts and bits and bobs in the nursery this morning too so it's nearly done. It feels surreal!

I'm trying @feliznavidad2 I moved from bed to sofa and then fell asleep knowing I needed a rest or I'd not have managed tonight!

Altho I won in the Grand National today!! I always pick an outsider as it's anyones race and in my big betting ways (50p ew) I had a couple of horses. One came no where, one came first (66/1 odds) and another came 5th 🎉 £43 win 🎉

Babies both wide awake after a bit of old 90/2000s clubbing music and dancing (very mild) at the show 🤣🤣 oh and maybe the cheeseburger olde OH take me through the drive through on the way home 🤣🤣

Sorry @Kate105 nothing exciting to update yet...

Right I'm off to bed now, Mr Bigglesworth just came bounding in and jumped on me trying to push my phone out my hand demanding a cuddle and no doubt Sox will appear soon for one too so I have the king sized bed to huff and puff in whilst trying to get comfy (oh in daughters double as she's at her dads til Monday afternoon now lol) so we can both sleep better but I'm sharing with the cats by the looks of things... he's now laid himself comfy ready for bed ❤️

Minsters Side Car - Thread 7 - annoying neighbours, second hand bargains and how many sleep suits should we buy again?!
larrythelizard · 10/04/2022 08:41

Haha @Minster2012 I always growl at DS not to touch the door when we're going for a wee/getting changed etc!

Ergh GTT @feliznavidad2 not fun but necessary.

Sounds like the babies have great music taste @Lexber!!

I managed to keep water down yesterday so now just need to try and eat properly for the first time since Weds - I feel woozy as hell this morning. Trying to think what bland, high calorie, non-heartburny foods there are out there I can eat! It'll be little and often anyway to try and keep it all in!

OP posts:
Franklydear · 10/04/2022 10:12

@larrythelizardmay I suggest porridge, it'll feel you up too

Dh surprised me/and ds, he book the airport hotel but he found an offer and we had a suit, you know bedroom separate and living room/dining room with massive flat tv on the wall, extra bed in there for ds so we had some privacy too, I only found out when I checking and the ‘ambassador’ told me!
Mum and dad in law are recovering well from covid, and actually much better than we expected, weather is a bit pants but, it’ll do, we are going to be mostly home, we don’t have a car but one brother in law said we can still his, as my brother was going to drive me around but has COVID, day 6 and still positive, one of the kids has it too, so we are seeing this side of the family first and will spend more time in the other once they are recovered
@Minster2012 I still have to warn ds when we have to use the normal ones, we have a radar key for a while now, the ladies are not practical or even appropriate for a nearly 12 year old boy, autism or not
