@Lexber love it! Did anyone take it seriously? Sounds like you had the best last day!

@BellatrixK Nice one on surviving Ofsted! I've only got my booking appointment through so far 🙈 hoping the scan will be soon after because I'll be 11weeks and 5 days by the time I get booked in and I want to know if everything is OK in there!

@bez91 I was so relieved it was only 20 mins away - the way she was talking I thought it'd be an hour away or more 🙈

@2020mission 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Franklydear that's so unbelievably frustrating 🙈

Lexber · 01/04/2022 23:39

It looks like my 35 week growth scan Wednesday is when decisions are being made @bez91 😬 so chances are this time
I'm 2 weeks if induction goes well they will be here... my oh is packing his hospital bag this weekend - we are off snack buying 🤣 plus I need to remember the essentials for him being type 1, incase it's a long on - spare bottles of insulin, coke, lucozade and dextrose tablets Altho I'm sure in an emergency the hospital would be able to help if we needed it but I prefer to be prepared!

@2020mission yup 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I see it ...

@Franklydear that's so frustrating!!

Talking of bingo @Minster2012 both my OH and bestie messaged me this afternoon asking if we are going tonight so we did. She won twice - a house and the National in 23 so got a bonus, and he won £100 too. Between them they won £483 and we always share no matter how much or who wins so we all walked away with about £160 each 🎉 and I was contemplating a early quiet night on the sofa.. it's been a good bingo day for me! 🤣

Franklydear · 02/04/2022 07:10

@Lexber 35 weeks is decent for twins, 36 will be amazing, 37 perfect

We’ve decided to abandon the children vaccination program, it just doesn’t work, we'll wait until he’s 12 and just do the normal teen program, after all it’s just a couple of weeks after coming from holiday, you would think that vulnerable children wouldn’t be an after thought like this, right?

larrythelizard · 02/04/2022 07:58

What a pain in the arse @Franklydear

I reckon it's a good sign that they are really apologetic about how far away your appt is (agree that 20 mins isn't far) @InkyPaper - shows they're nice really!

Ooh it's getting exciting @Lexber! I also packed almost more snacks for DH than I did for me, he's not diabetic but utterly useless when hungry! I kept trying to pack him off to the canteen at one point when I was having DS not realising it was 5.30am and nothing was open!

Had a nice dinner out last night, DH booked Saturday night not Friday night for the place we really wanted to go but found somewhere in town with a table so it was fine. Have made a list of logistic type stuff we need to sort out about shared parental leave, finances, how many days to keep DS in nursery for etc etc so I feel a bit better for having all those bits on a list. I want to be clear on how long I'll be off for when I hand over my Mat1b which (all being well) will only be 5 weeks away. And I want to give nursery plenty of notice if we're dropping DS' hours just to be fair to them!

Have a lovely Saturday all x

@larrythelizard there is a app on the store about baby names which you both could download and sync it’s a left right swipe on names you like and it matches when you both like names 🙈 otherwise mango will be a lovely summer name too being bright and fruity 🤣
@minster2012 glad your health visitor went well I think although somehow I would debate if all days are going to be easy 🤣
@paintfairy glad your feeling abit better and managing to sleep a little bit better! I’m also feeling like my list on my notes (got to love a list) nothings getting ticked off it quite fast enough but I’m sure it will at once 🙈
@bellatrixK good news about ofsted! Means you can breathe a sigh of relief now :p eeek your scan will be here before you know it 😘 the duke isn’t in this series of bridgerton that’s probably why I was disappointed 😍🤣
@lexber happy mat leave! Hopefully you can be at the meal next week to celebrate 😊
@franklydear that sounds such a pain in the arse with the vaccines I hope you get it sorted somehow 😩
@bez91 apparently it was the husbands choice to suggest mango because of her suggestions were all strange… oh lord I’d hate to think what hers was 🤣 I’m hoping I’ll be like you as the scans come along the fear subsides a little bit!

My 39 week pregnant bestie shared this to me last night and I couldn’t not repost on here 🤣🤣🤣 https://aubtu.biz/58606/?utmsource=LA98&utmmmedium=dogloverclubpage&utmcampaign=Leona
Have a lovely Saturday everyone :)

larrythelizard · 02/04/2022 08:48

Yeah we played with it last time @kaylsd it was fun but didn't reveal anything! We know loads of babies being born between now and due date so no rush really on names!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 02/04/2022 09:06

@kaylsd ha ha ha love those!!

That's the thing @larrythelizard if you know lots of ppl due then it's name jeopardy, when X was being cooked we had "Louis" on our list for ages, then prince louis was born before X. Nope then 😂. Gosh that's one hell of an organised meal you've had just there 👏🏻well done!

@Lexber boom on bingo that's AMAZING!! What a night! And I think you'll keep them in til 36 weeks but OMG that's like a week and a half away 🤪shit getting real girl!! Pack that bag for DH!

@Franklydear im sure you'll be able to get him in easily after his birthday then.

@InkyPaper every "town" to me is about 15 mins away so 20 mins is nothing, but I guess if you have one closer that's not the case!

It's a bright but frosty morning here & DH spent a lot of time with his hand on bump last night enjoying the movements, he was thinking it felt weird from his side I said try feeling like it's a proper alien inside! 😂

bez91 · 02/04/2022 10:11

Will catch up later, just a quick one thrush ladies....TMI 🙈

I had a swab on Tuesday as I'd had light spotting, woke up this morning and I can tell I've definitely got thrush so I've just rang the midwife base and asked if my results were back they said yes treatment is required and informed GP to provide prescription but she couldn't tell me what treatment was required for 🤦🏼‍♀️ Oh great, well thanks for informing me you f*ckwits! Obviously going to get a prescription from my GP on a Saturday aren't I 🙄 I've got some external cream so I'll just use that and hope for the best I suppose 🙈

feliznavidad2 · 02/04/2022 10:29

www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/related-conditions/common-symptoms/thrush/ @bez91

From my limited experience, vaginal pessary is allowed (but don't use the applicator), cream is allowed, the oral tablet is not for use during pregnancy.

External cream helps a bit for me but the pessary is the only thing which seems to clear it. GP gave me two pessaries this time, one for now and one for a week's time incase I've still got symptoms - generous!

larrythelizard · 02/04/2022 10:59

Argh nightmare @bez91. The pessaries I had prescribed right at the start were just like the OTC ones so I'd go for them instead of waiting for the GP?

OP posts:
paintfairy · 02/04/2022 11:19

@bez91 nightmare on the thrush! And GPs and general uselessness. I've actually also got it slightly. It doesn't itch, I just happened to notice. I whacked on a bit of cream and hoped for the best. The pessaries make me bleed so I wouldn't want to use those unless really necessary! Very unhelpful, all of it.
@kaylsd maybe my issue is i have no list. 🤣 Which therefore means things just spin around my head. I need to sort one though so I at least feel prepared, even if I haven't actually bought what I need.
@InkyPaper the problem is more that you only have up to 14 weeks to do the tests, rather than the impatience element. So having a delayed booking appointment is not ideal and it's good they've tried to get you one as early as they could.
@Lexber brilliant on the bingo! I've never been myself but I have friends that have won money. I really should go. 🤣
@larrythelizard glad you got to go out in the end!
@Minster2012 I'm struggling to decide anything about anything. 🤣 I think even just looking at the hospital bag items and baby items for that is a massive list, never mind anything else I haven't got. Where do most people get all that stuff from? Online? I did order some nipple cream when I ordered thrush cream online. 🤣 But that's it. Are you still watching MAFS btw? I actually hate Olivia.......

Well- I don't actually know if what I have is covid. DH had the same. Mum now has it (her achy day was Thursday) and I'm not surprised as I was seeing her earlier in the week. Only her test isn't positive? 🤷‍♀️ But its the exact same thing and she doesn't go anywhere so she's only got it from me. I'm not sure how the tests can vary so much. So no idea what I've got but it needs to go away. 🤣 I slept much better again last night though! 🥳 However- the baby didn't move when I went to bed (usually does) so that worried me instead. Was moving this morning though. Honestly this whole thing is one big worry.

As for netflix and streaming in hospital, I don't even own an ipad type thing so with only a 2 hour visiting slot per day for DH, I'm going to be bored the rest of the time!

Franklydear · 02/04/2022 13:57

I work today, I booked hairdresser for about an hour and a half after I get home, DH has been home all day and decided to do 'things', he ordered lunch for after I leave, why is it that every time I book something for me, like twice a year not every week, there's a problem and causes a disaster?
I'll keep my appointment but nice it isn't

Juno231 · 02/04/2022 14:09

@paintfairy weirdly for some it seems to take ages to come through on LFTs or maybe she's not shoving the swabs far in enough? 🙊

@bez91 aah I feel you! I got a week's worth of antibiotics prescribed for my UTI on Thursday but I'm on day 3 now and there's been no difference so I'm already dreading having to call on Monday to get something else sorted out. I could really do with a sitz bath right now to alleviate the burning...

@Vil10 let me know if you want me to do some more paint digging on insta for you 😅

@Franklydear haha that sounds like a typical husband thing to do! Did you enjoy your London weekend in the end?

We've done three flat viewings today so far and have another at 5.30pm. Refreshing after not having been able to view anything all week! Got a couple of contenders but honestly the main difficulty will be winning against all the other potential tenants...

Franklydear · 02/04/2022 14:28

@Juno231 yes! The weather was nice, nowhere was too crowded and lovely food with lots of wine, parents were getting better and at home as well so we could relax a little
I hate husbands, who's for an Amazonian society! what he's been doing is useful but... must I always be on everything?!

bez91 · 02/04/2022 14:49

@Minster2012 ahhh I see with the laptop, that makes more sense 😂 lovely baby had been more active for DH 😍

@Lexber super win and great rule on the sharing too. A plan by this time next week sounds good, how exciting 😬😬

@kaylsd that post is brilliant 😆 I said to a few colleagues at work yesterday that Friday is the best office day for me because I can actually get a decent spot in the underground city centre car park that I can actually get in and out of 🙈

@paintfairy are you feeling any better? I know a lot of people like that. DD has a horrendous cough but she's negative and a lot of kids seem the same, hope your mum escapes it!

@Juno231 that's really frustrating, UTIs are the worst. You probably just need something stronger but that's galling as they usually kick straight in 😩 good there were a couple of flats you'd consider, fingers crossed you'll snap one up!

A midwife just rang me and the result is thrush. She was great, she said the prescription has been sent to the GP but I prob won't want to wait until Monday so to go the pharmacist for a pessary and cream in a big coat because "pharmacists are mini Hitlers" 😆 I said I'll send my husband so now need to sweet talk him into going after we've left the mother in laws

InkyPaper · 02/04/2022 15:24

@Minster2012 yeah, I'm really not that bothered about having to drive 20 mins to get there. It was just the way she was talking 😂 mind you, if I didn't drive it would be a massive pain in the arse to get there so maybe that's what she was worried about?

@paintfairy oh I didn't even think of that! Well now I really want the scan date to come through ASAP! Did you get a positive LFT for covid? My parents have got it now but we're testing negative for a few days before their positive results turned up

@Juno231 hope the last flat viewing goes well! Sucks about the UTI, hope that clears up soon for you!

@bez91 here's hoping your husband can get some supplies in for you 🤞🏻

Minster2012 · 02/04/2022 15:55

@bez91 I got canestan OTC pessary & cream & it worked, I needed some relief so didn't want to wait but my consultant then said I could have another pessary so pessary & cream def allowed. It must be a pregnancy thing surely!!

@paintfairy do you have a laptop? How do you WFH otherwise? You could always use your phone just make sure you've got that charger! On the hospital bag stuff I got most from shops & stuff like the clothes I already have loungewear stuff. What do you need to find? I've been getting all my pads, creams & things from the supermarkets. Everything's a mind fuck with pregnancy, movements, no movements! All a PITA 😂 yes I'm still watching MAFSA, and think Olivia just WANTS to be the bitch. She's a dick, I actually like how Dom is reacting much better

@Juno231 surely you must get one of three if you could live in any of them?! No difference after 3 days really isn't ideal

What paint did I miss from @Vil10 im getting serious interior design FOMO!

@InkyPaper it's def better she seems bothered or concerned by it I think that's lovely & least they others should be ok

@Franklydear I don't understand, he got lunch for when you weren't there? Seems a bit of an extreme reaction to say you hate him for doing things? What's he messed up?

To say we are meant to be relaxing & pretty chilled weekend wise atm it's seemingly really busy today, and I'm just at "I could really do with a nap stage" but powering through with my decaf to keep me going 😂. DH invited ppl over tomorrow for dinner & im desperate for them to say no, I cba cooking or being social 😂just want to chilllllllll

Vil10 · 02/04/2022 16:32

@Lexber yayy for mat leave!! Sounds like you had a lovely last day!!

@Minster2012 glad the HV wasn't too bad! I feel like you just don't know and can't read them sometimes, like you say you feel like they're being short but they could be being efficient, but it's part of the experience for us so you expect them to act like they haven't done this 6 times already that day😂

@paintfairy glad you've been sleeping a bit better! I ended up making a list the other day of hospital bag stuff after seeing a few YouTube videos of them etc, I think whenever I'm in supermarkets/town I might just pick up some mini bits for myself like travel size toothpaste, deo etc, just buy as I go! But we do go on holiday in may so maybe I'll have so mini toiletries left from there thst I can put in my hospital bag! I've been making notes of brands too, like you say, if it saves time then it's a win win!

@BellatrixK 🤞🏼 these next 6 days fly!!

@larrythelizard glad you had a lovely date night and are feeling better! You've had a rough time of it lately!! Also loving how organised you are with the financial side of things! We kinda skimmed over what we're going to do, but nothings set in stone! Do you know how long you're taking off yet?

@kaylsd thats so weird!! My cousin is a children's nurse and she came across the name la-a, as in la dash a, I think I've told the story on here before too like many moons ago😂

@bez91 urghh thrush is the worst!! I hope it clears up for you soon!!

@Juno231 hahaha this maybe the start of lots of pictures of paint coming your way!! Thankyou for the help!! Good going on the viewings!! Hopefully one comes up that's right For you and you get in there first🤞🏼

@Minster2012 it was a ponder on what colour farrow and ball to get my fitted wardrobes sprayed! I'm wanting to go for a light beige to be paired with gold/brass handles, and I find it so difficult because paints always looking different in different homes/in different lighting, so Juno sent me some colours over insta! Oh I hate when you have to host but really don't want to, maybe you cancel??😂

So after these last few days being convinced it was proper baby movement pats, I was right, I felt it last night from the outside when I had my hand on my stomach, and I even managed to video it because OH kept missing it! My mums now desperate to feel it too😂
We had a right mare yesterday, something came back on the last search of the new house, and at first it sounded serious and scared me, after talking to the town planner and our mortgage advisor turns out it's something that's very common (it was something about coal mining being in the area), apparently it was around 1894 and there have been no reports on it ever since, it just says the house/estate is near it and our mortgage advisor said obviously the ground would've been investigated and assessed before the estate was built which was 30 odd years ago, but overall the report is a green pass so I feel much more reassured this morning! But 10 minutes after we got the initial email through from the solicitor, we got an email from Tui saying our return flights from Corfu in may have been cancelled🥴 only other flight they could offer is at an 11pm flight, so we're going to see how much extra it would be to stay an extra 3 nights and do a 10 nighter instead of 7. Honestly the sooner I'm in this house and on holiday the better!!

Lexber · 02/04/2022 17:00

@paintfairy I'm just downloading on my phone so less things to take with me. Also I've thrown in some rubbish mags to read and pick over that have puzzles in so short stories and bits to do as/when I get 2 mins or bored.
If I remember right our hospital tvs are free until 12noon so that's a couple of hours free entertainment 🤣

Oh no @Juno231 and @bez91 thrush and UTIs are horrible! I thought I was getting a. uTi earlier last week and I had 4 appointments over 7 days and they sent my sample off 3 times due to lucozides but nothing more came of it and my appointment 4 days later (yesterday) was absolutely clear?
Hope hubs can get what you need @bez91 cos Monday is so far away when you feel crap or are uncomfortable

That sounds stressful @Juno231 🤞🏼 for you

@Vil10 I've been counting down this last 2 weeks, as much as I love my job I'm
Struggling big style now! My hips feel like they could split!

6 days isn't long @BellatrixK , well technically 5 and a bit as we are nearly at 5pm today!

Franklydear · 02/04/2022 17:02

@Minster2012 I admit I am a bit irritable from yesterday, but yes, I went to work, booked hairdresser and he order lunch for after I've gone! so had to have just anything due to lack of time, he did useful things but could he not sort out a lunch I could eat, I had an hour and a half home, he didn't go out at all

paintfairy · 02/04/2022 17:36

@bez91 I'm coughing more today. 🙄 Bit tired but mostly I'm OK. I'm just trying to take it easy so it passes quickly!
@Minster2012.i have a work laptop but it doesn't work like a normal laptop. It connects straight through the work network and is all controlled by them. You can't put your own software on it or anything. I have an old one of my own but it is knackered and won't even work not directly plugged in any more. DH does have one actually that was my dad's (I'm hoping I can scrounge that for my online antenatal classes) or i might be able to borrow one from my mum for hospital. They seem to have about 40. 🤣 I've got a kindle but I might not feel like reading, as that's harder work.
Yes I can probably get all the pads etc from the supermarket. I need to make a list and start collecting! I still need nightwear, big pants etc for the hospital too. And any baby bits (I have clothes but nothing else). I still also need things like baby thermometer and all that kind of stuff for home? Car mirror. Just all the really stupid things but when you put them together there's like a billion things?
As for Olivia- what an absolute cow. I know Dom is a bit like marmite. But at least she's what you see is what you get. Olivia is just horrible! 🤬 Two faced.
@InkyPaper yes that's why I just told them at 5 weeks. Didn't want to risk my scan being late but i also had Xmas in the middle (my booking appointment was at 9 weeks, which was literally the week before xmas) and I knew that might delay things also. But they must have sent it straight off as I got the letter Xmas eve with my scan date for 12+5.
@Vil10 ooohhh maybe I need to check out YouTube. 🤣 I think so much house related stuff just sounds more stressful than it is. Why have they cancelled the flight? Ffs. Honestly. Longer would be good though!
@Lexber honestly no idea if our hospitals have tvs or what. Neither does my phone have capacity for storage. 🙄 But hopefully i can sort something. I do at least have quite a lot of data on my phone.
@Juno231 hopefully you'll be able to manage to bag one of the flats!

Kate105 · 02/04/2022 18:58

Nothing much to report here and just tentatively dancing round the edge of the chat in case I catch Covid or thrush off you ailing lot 😂 we've got friends up to stay this week so will probs be AWOL a fair bit. Looking forward to doing some touristy things but god it was a slog cleaning the house. We are slobs until people come to visit 😂😂😂

DKDK123 · 02/04/2022 19:29

@bez91 I'm finishing work at the end of April but as the next 2 weeks are the Easter holidays and I only work part time I technically only have 5 working days left 🥳
Glad they managed to fit your scan in but shocking that you were the one that had to chase it up.

@lexber sounds like a fab last day of work! Another boy nappy change tip is that the cold air seemed to trigger a pee in ours so I'd undo the nappy lift the front bit off for a few seconds to let the cold air at it then place the nappy back over his willy and the nappy would catch the pee instead of me getting caught out mid change. Dunno if it works for all boys but it def worked for DS most times.
Did anyone comment on your names post yesterday? 🤣

Cool Minecraft blanket @franklydear, not so good on the coivd jag fight or DH not timing lunch well tho 🙄

@minster2012 it's good the health visitor visit was short, I think the pre birth ones are just so they can have a quick nosey to scope out any red flags that will need more support post birth so if she was in and out she must be happy.

The flat viewing sounds exciting @Juno231 hopefully one has your name on it 🤞

@Vil10 that's great that you managed to film the kicks 🥰 Sucks on the holiday flight but if you get an extra 3 days out it then all the better!

A tad jealous of the laptops and things for hospital. Our hospital has limited WiFi that you can't even just log onto you have to go to a desk fill out your details and get a personal 24hr login to use which you can only have on one device and its crap it keeps dropping out so it's useless except for a quick email or FB browse. You have to bring your own portable battery charger as you're not allowed to use the hospital sockets so no charging your phone or plugging in your laptop. Someone used a dodgy charging cable that started a fire years ago so they now have a no personal devices plugged in rule. I got a row more than once for trying to sneakily charge my phone when my portable battery had ran out of charge and I was waiting for DH to take it home and recharge it. Bearing in mind I was hospital bound for weeks before DS was born it was tedious. So have stocked up on books and magazines for this time.

Having a really hard time with DS just now. He very much still wants his sister but is really resenting me being pregnant and not able to do all the things I used to so he keeps saying he wants his 'normal mummy' back that isn't always sick or has a sore belly. He's starting to push me away now too only wanting his dad to do nighttime stories etc whereas it used to be me he asked for and hes started hitting me. Trying to give him lots of reasurrance, trying not to mention the baby much and do activities we can sit down together like stories, arts and crafts, puzzles but he's still really struggling. Unfortunately part of that also means we're getting a tonne of mega tantrums daily and feels like he's screaming about something every 5mins, keep having to remind myself to stay calm and remember he's got a lot going on just now and is just a little kid with big emotions but it's tough when I'm already feeling like shit and dealing with that now too, it's not a happy household at the moment, I think its going to be a rough month or two ahead 🙈

Minster2012 · 02/04/2022 19:32

@Kate105 yes I would steer clear of this lot they all seem to have the lurgy! We also live like slobs, and depends who's coming as to how much I change that state for ppl coming round 😂

@Franklydear i have faith your DH will pull it back again, he's a nice one like that

@paintfairy baby bits wise other than vests & sleepsuits, cardigans for the hospital im taking blankets, muslins, hats & mitts (maybe), cotton wool, nappies (my friend said she's used loads but she's been on Tuesday to now but went through a whole packet Tuesday to Friday) I think that's it?! Yes those other bits are the annoying things, mirror, raincover for pram, thermometer, nappie cream, baby towel, wipes, baby bath if you want to use one. I see on the laptop, you don't need one it's just I know I'm not going to have the mental capacity to read 😂totally with you on Olivia, I dislike her, also hate is it Christina? The new cheating one.

It's 5 days now @BellatrixK

@Vil10 yeah I don't have toiletries sorted, need to add that to the list good shout 😂ahhhh I see for the wardrobes. Yeah why have they cancelled the flight? That's so frustrating though on both that and the search thing, is it something you can get indemnity insurance against? (We have that for chancel repair costs)

@Juno231 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻how did the other go too?

Steak night tonight here which DH is cooking & the ppl tomorrow aren't coming so that's fab we are going to see MIL instead as it's her birthday today but SIL will be cooking so win for Minster 😂👏🏻

Franklydear · 02/04/2022 19:46

He did pick me up from the hairdresser and got me subway, I am just not having a good end of the week, @Minster2012 , different hairdresser as mine was just so busy and our dates clashes, she was an hour behind so rush quite a bit through the drying, but charged me a lot less than expected and the colour is good, which is the main bit, the cut was just a quick fresher up only, so all good
