Vodka & pepper! Amazing remedy @Juno231 so pleased you are having a stress free time that's awesome about your trip too, means you'll enjoy it loads!

@DKDK123 I'm pleased DH realised the error of his ways. It's hard looking after a toddler too, but again you are doing amazing and especially of your pelvis is killing 😬

@Lexber I find sitting at hospital the worst. Hours & hours & uncomfortable seats, can't believe they do it to pregnant ladies 😂

I've put out the newborn & 0/3 stuff and put some things aside for hospital bag. Working out what I have and haven't got. Not got much "small stuff" so doesn't matter if she's big it seems as I can clothe that 🤪

Lexber · 28/03/2022 14:33

@DKDK123 I'm trying but it's the eldest birthday today so no rest for the wicked lol

@Minster2012 I've been here since 10.55, just sat waiting for my prescription for blood thinners 😬😭
Had my scan to check blood flow through cord and fluid levels, then vitals, then saw consultant who has decided he does want me to have the blood thinners and then a trace just to check both babies are happy (which they are) so now I'm fetching my prescription to take it back to PAU to be shown how to do them... my arse, hips and back are in pieces!
I'm supposed to be going to see my farm after the hospital as well on my way home - that will def be a short visit now!
Booked in for Friday morning for another scan and check then next Wednesday when I am 35 weeks for growth scan and book possible induction date! 😬😳 that's just over 2 weeks away...

Vil10 · 28/03/2022 15:39

@InkyPaper ohhh it's rubbish when that happens and then you're put off the name forever!! Are you finding out what you're having?

@Minster2012 my OH didn't do anything either, he said happy Mother's Day to me but didn't get me anything but to be honest I didn't expect anything? I think social media and influencers make it a thing! Can't wait to see the nursery finished, it looks lovely after the painting!!

@DKDK123 I hope so! I find that majority of the people in this field are lovely and really understanding! I'm glad you've said that it's made me feel more reassured! Also I got mt first braxton hick on Friday, it shit me up so I messaged my midwife friend straight away and she reassured me it was normal and they can happen anytime from 20 weeks, I've not had them again since but it scared me the first time because I thought it wasn't something that happened until much much later! Glad OH did some things round the house for you without you having to nag, definitely trying to make it up to you! You're doing amazing!! Keep going❤️

So I got a pram!! Went for the silver cross with the full bundle and swapped the car seat for the cybex cloud z 360 spin car seat! They're keeping it for us too until we ring and ask for delivery! It's made me all excited

2020mission · 28/03/2022 16:13

@Minster2012 @Vil10 I don't think bump Mother's Day cards are really a thing are they? I think I would feel uncomfortable to have been given one when pregnant as it feels like it's tempting fate and it feels like it's recognition for someone who's been doing the job of a mother 😆 I know pregnancy isn't easy but you know what I mean. I wasn't expecting anything this year as I said to my husband we don't need to bother about those days until Matthew is big enough to make a little card and maybe help out that day with making a breakfast or help with some chores... pretty much just what I did when I was little. My husband did get me a card on behalf of him though in the end which was a nice surprise. Right now Matthew's vocabulary is mostly "La" so my husband put this inside for laughs

@larrythelizard ahh no, you don't need that at the best of times. Hopefully you're feeling a little better this afternoon.

@paintfairy that's a lovely knitted set 😍

Names... arggggh yes I find it very stressful 😆 we have one boy and one girl name which the boy name was the boy name we had for DD if she wasn't a girl and the girl name is something DH said he disliked the first time round, how he apparently loves it 🙄 we're not sure on middle names though

@Juno231 trip sounds great, how long are you away for?

@DKDK123 with you on the BH, I never had them with DD and my contractions were all in my back but these BH are all in the front and ouchy 😬 they can take you by surprise!

Back to work tomorrow after a week off, I actually don't want to go back which isn't like me 😆 could just go off on maternity leave now. 5 weeks and counting...

Kate105 · 28/03/2022 17:29

Ahaha great minds @2020mission I got the same card! Or actually it's just slightly different... but basically the same 😂

I've had the nicest, chillest day pottering at home today. PTSD even treated me to an extra long nap so I've done loads of batch cooking and watched some more Bridgerton and he's actually woken up pleasant as opposed to his grumpy, overtired default #smug

Franklydear · 28/03/2022 18:00

@paintfairy sounds like it, but spotting stopped now
@DKDK123 they were only willing to do the ones to rule out perimenopause, all good there for a long while apparently
@Minster2012 not quite sure anything is happening
@Juno231 I love seeing your pictures but feel very conscious about mine🙈

larrythelizard · 28/03/2022 18:21

I thought I was set on a girls name but now I'm not so sure (do need to get DH to agree but that's a minor point), finding boys names much harder as we have one already!

I felt like that approaching Mat leave #1 @bez91 - quite odd as I've always been pretty work focussed.

Spotting @Franklydear argh!

Cute card @2020mission and cute photo on insta!

Good boy the pope @Kate105

Ooh well done on the pram @Vil10

The thought of Vodka and pepper deffo make me feel more sick @Juno231

Yeah I found the variety of sizes mind boggling with DS @Minster2012!

Not been sick all day but feel awful still, suspect it's being massively dehydrated and not having really eaten much since lunch time yesterday. Trying to keep sipping water/ice lollies etc! Thankfully in-laws rescued us and took DS overnight.

OP posts:
Franklydear · 28/03/2022 19:30

@larrythelizard ice lollies are a good call
Spotting again so put a pad on to try hurry it along

BellatrixK · 28/03/2022 19:45

Sorry to not reply, we have Ofsted in school tomorrow, but I wanted to thank you all for getting me through the ‘I need a scan now!’ drama. We’ve booked one for 8 weeks and I felt really nauseous today which I’m celebrating!
xx

Minster2012 · 28/03/2022 20:58

@Kate105 your card is wrong though?? Your baby poop is in a potty 😂😂

@Lexber do you basically have things with the hospital each week now?

@Vil10 I think you def beat me on the braxton hicks, I think I've only had it once so far! Yes for the pram though that's great and def making it real

Awwww @2020mission I think it's nice to celebrate Mother's Day as soon as baby is here definitely cos surely it's your "day off" or you know what I mean, basically saying thank you for being a great mummy, which happens straight away!

Thank goodness for the in-laws @larrythelizard great shout with the lollies. That reminds me @bez91 did you persuade DD yet to do a night at grandads???

@BellatrixK that's what we are here for! When's it booked for?

I've nearly finished the baby's room. Really pleased with it, just couple more bits to go & sorting out the clothes was mind boggling the variety of sizes when I was thinking of stuff for hospital bag my brain is frazzled & I kept just wanting to sit down all day.

I've got consultant appointment tomorrow afternoon I'm guessing just a check in type thing

becarefuloutthere · 28/03/2022 21:09

@BellatrixK yay and you're welcome! You'll appreciate it for waiting! Good luck with ofsted, I work in education and know the stress of that visit!
@Franklydear hope spotting means af is looming so that you can get to next cycle!

Names...hard aren't they! Dh vetoed my first list and chose one name from the second list and that's her name! He put nothing forward 🥴 he prob knew I'd veto him 😂
You'll get there tho ladies, I thought we'd never agree but it only took two weeks in the end.

becarefuloutthere · 28/03/2022 21:12

@Minster2012 good luck for tomorrow!!

Oh and those cards are hilar @Kate105 and @2020mission! I showed Dh and he guffawed! 😆

Lexber · 28/03/2022 22:24

@Minster2012 yeah I think so, I will be 34 weeks Wednesday so back Friday at 34+2 for scan to be checked again (blood flow through cord to make sure placenta still working well) then booked for growth scan at 35 weeks as they need to leave 2 weeks between for the measurements to be accurate.
Then if I'm being induced at 36, that will be booked at 35 wk appointment(next week!!), they may even ask to see me end of next week too? I'm not sure... I'm basically looking 2 more weeks unless they come early themselves which everyone is adamant they will.., 😬😳🙄 hopefully Friday isn't anywhere near as long as today..

Minster2012 · 29/03/2022 07:27

Eeeek two weeks @Lexber 😳😬but they are doing so well atm I'm confident all will be great! It's nearly April so getting closer to these due dates!

feliznavidad2 · 29/03/2022 08:06

Just tested positive for Covid, doh.

Will catch up properly later as looks like I'll have a bit of time on my hands... 🤧

Kate105 · 29/03/2022 08:38

Good luck @BellatrixK we're overdue the big O and I'm desperate for it to happen while I'm still off on mat leave 😂🤞🏻

Haha I know @Minster2012 H did look sheepish when he gave me it and said "it was funnier before you started this potty business" 😂😂😂

Oh noooooo @feliznavidad2 it's everywhere! Feel like I might catch it off you lot virtually at this rate 😂

Vil10 · 29/03/2022 10:04

@2020mission well I didn't really think they were but think influencers etc have made them one, I mean it's cute for others to get them but I'm not arsed that I didn't get one if that makes sense😂 that card made me laugh😂🤣

@bez91 last 5 week push, you can do this!!

@larrythelizard sorry you're still feeling crappy! Hopefully it starts to clear soon and you can be eating/drinking like normal again!!

@BellatrixK your scan will come around before you know it!!

@Franklydear your body is a mystery!!

@Minster2012 honestly I shit my pants text midwife friend immediately for reassurance😂 the nursery looks amazing you've done such a good job and it's making me all excited! Good luck with your appointment today!!

@Lexber two weeks!!! Ahhh exciting!!!

@feliznavidad2 ahh that's rubbish!! Hope you don't feel too crappy!

So we've had some more good news on the house front, all searches/surveys have been done and we could even be looking at a mid-late April move in date!!! Which would be perfect to be in just before our holiday! However, we went in to a shop to pick our sofa fabric/colour way, they said if we found out the price of it on a cheaper website we'd seen, they'd match it, so that's what we did, rang back and told them the price of the other and then told them what sofa suite and colours we wanted and wanted dining chairs too, they said they'd get back to us and we're still waiting and OH has been trying to ring and get hold of them too and nothing, they're a trust shop though and my friend actually works there so not sure what's going on, I'm going to speak to her today and ask her to get them to call us, down side to it is 3 weeks ago they said it would be July delivery time, so guessing it'll be later and later the more weeks that go by! Not the worst thing ever because we're using our old sofas for the back room so at least we have those but ideally i wanted the big stuff sorted before baby arrives, suppose you can't have it all can you🙄

Repeat 20 week scan today, so hopefully baby plays ball and they can get those last things, can't believe it's been 2 weeks though since my other one, these weeks are flying!!!

Vil10 · 29/03/2022 10:05

Sorry my above message was supposed to say that the sofa shop is a trustworthy shop!

Franklydear · 29/03/2022 10:38

@Vil10 I know I'll donate it to science! Spotting becoming more intense and a bit of tissue coming through, I think I can call this one af soon, well I bloody hope so
@feliznavidad2 oh no, more COVID, ...

DKDK123 · 29/03/2022 12:38

@lexber hope your eldest had a good birthday yesterday, glad to hear all went well with your appointment even if it does now feel daunting that everything's going at 100mph towards that finishing line!

@vil10 that's great you got your pram, always makes things feel even more real and exciting when you get things like that 😊 Great news on the house too. Hope baby decides to play ball for the scan today.

@franklydear not good enough from your GP. Even given ttc aside as I know you're on the fence now with that one, you shouldn't have to put up with spotting inbetween and random guessing is this or is this not my period, there's clearly something not right and they should be investigating it. Channel the angry mama bear that you use to fight for your boy and fight for your body instead don't let then fob you off till you get answers. Testing progesterone levels would be a good place to start I'd think as that can cause spotting.

@BellatrixK not good on the ofstead front, school inspections never help anyone they just stress everyone out and bad school can easily polish a turd for a week to make themselves look better so there's not really much point to the inspections anyways 🙄 I had it out with an inspector in my last school, bearing in mind I work with pupils with autism and unfamiliar faces can upset them, she didn't even knock my door she just barged it open so hard it hit the walls, walked right into the middle of my room and announced in a booming voice 'And I believe, that you know who I am!' Like she was some sort of celebrity. I was livid as it set a few of my kids off so I just glared at her and feigned ignorance and said 'I'm sorry, no I don't know your name but I'm Mrs x, this is (introduced each pupil) and as you can see your entrance has upset them so can you just go stand quietly over at the side for now while I settle them and I will be over to see you shortly!' She was not amused in the slightest (neither was my boss when she found out 😂), but to me I'm not there to suck up to or impress any inspectors, the kids in my class are my priority and that snooty cow upset them. Had it out with her more than once that week she was in as everyone else was too scared to speak up to her whereas I just speak my mind.

@minster2012 sounds like nesting mode is starting to kick in 😉

Lexber · 29/03/2022 12:51

@Minster2012 it's so close 😬 how is it April in 3 days...

@feliznavidad2 I hope you are feeling ok sweets? Paracetamol and keep fluids up and rest as best you can xx

Good luck today @Vil10 with the repeat scan hopefully baby plays ball today for you
Good luck @Minster2012 with your appointment too

Fingers crossed it's a AF @Franklydear

She had a lovely day @DKDK123 thank you, I now feel very old at the thought of having a 15 year old?!! And I'm Starting again with TWINS?! I'm Only 35... but I def don't feel it right now!! Everyone always looks at me gobsmacked when I say I have a 15 yr old and I usually get the "you don't look old enough" 🤣 I had her a couple of months before I turned 21 so I wasn't that young really, but I honestly thought that'd be me done having babies at 30... and then I met OH and I just knew. I knew I wanted another with him as he didn't have any. And well.. here we are 🤣🤣
Altho people assume he is the girls dad as he is amazing with them and they're so close ❤️

Back to work tomorrow for 3 days then I am done so I am actually resting today. Fell back to sleep and woke after 11am so I must have needed it! Now sat on the sofa with my ridiculously swollen feet elevated watching crap tv and it's actually enjoyable as I've not done this yet for WEEKS. And everyone is telling me to rest... I definitely need to rest more now! Make the most of it while I can!

Minster2012 · 29/03/2022 14:15

@feliznavidad2 I was saying this yesterday that I think it's just a case of "when" not if on the getting covid, hope you are feeling not too bad

@Kate105 I'm so intrigued to see if this "potty business" does lead to a potty trained baby. And if so then you will trail blaze a full set of MN mammas doing it!

@Vil10 I'm looking at the sofa thing! I'd want it all organised too but if you have other sofa it's not the end of the world that a new baby doesn't puke/wee on it (not that that would happen but maybe!) hopefully they can get the measurements today 🤞🏻

@DKDK123 definitely nesting, I'm getting slower so I want to make sure stuff is sorted, though my parents said to X yesterday "do you want us to decorate your wall in your bedroom for you?" (He has a very garish flower wallpaper feature wall) and I was like errrrr when does that happen???

@Lexber when it gets to April I think those of us May babies are gonna get twitchy 😂

Waiting for consultant appointment now. As expected they are running late. On the way in I went to matalan & bought a nightie & some REALLY BIG black pants 😂

I'm really hoping to get my section date today

In other news my friend (& X's best mates mum) has her section today, so I made the stupid mistake of saying to X this morning "D's mummy is hopefully going to have her baby today, so D might have a baby sister by tonight" at which point X went "when does my baby sister come out?"
I said "about 7 weeks darling, it's a while"
He was horrified cos of course it's like a hundred years to a toddler & said
"But it's not fair that's AGES, I can't wait that long, get her out now"
To be fair mate I'm not sure I can wait that long either 😂

feliznavidad2 · 29/03/2022 14:58

Hope you get seen soon @Minster2012 and that you get a section date! How exciting.

@Lexber enjoy your rest lovely, you most definitely deserve it

Thanks @Kate105 - loved the Mother's Day card! And as @Minster2012 says, if PTSD keeps this up, we'll all be converted!

Love it @DKDK123 it really sounds as if you have your kids best interests at heart. That nightie reminds me of a beautician's uniform. 😂

Poor you with Ofsted @BellatrixK when's the scan??

How are you feeling today @larrythelizard ? BrewThanks

Let us know how your scan goes @Vil10 hope baby behaves 🤞🏻 and know what you mean about the sofa, how fab it'll be to be in your new house though!

I'm ok but have had to get blood thinning injections for ten days from the midwife as at a higher risk of blood clots - think mainly due to my weight and that I've got varicose veins. 🙈 Just feels like a bad cold at the moment. DS much brighter but if I get the same level of cough he has, my pelvic floor is literally gonna be falling apart.

Had to go on the monitor which is the first time this pregnancy, she said they usually do it from 26 weeks which I turned today. Lovely to hear baby's heart beat and wiggling and whooshing around. At least she seems to be feeling good.
