@larrythelizard good reminder about the nightie for the catheter. I had to have mine in for 2days, they took it out after 24 hours but I just couldn't pee even tho I felt like my bladder was about to explode so they had to put in another one and I immediately filled the bag. Apparently some people's bladders just take a while to kick start again after a section. But glad you reminded me as I've packed a nightie and short PJs but I may throw in an extra nightie. I had a breast feeding one for DS a bit like the one in the pick with buttons to pull down.
@feliznavidad2 hope DS is feeling better today. When mine had it last week we struggled to keep his temp down the first day, he was still a bit out of sorts the second day but after that you'd think there was nothing wrong with him at all for the rest of it even tho he was still testing positive. Hope yours bounces back just as quickly.
@minster2012 so jealous of your lie in, that's amazing! Definitely get onto your doc about the heartburn meds they are a game changer! I haven't been officially diagnosed with SPD from the midwife yet I haven't mentioned to her but I def recognise it starting from last time. The only difference is by last time I was completely bed bound in hospital and not allowed to do anything by this point so it didn't feel as bad whereas this time round I'm resting while I can but also have DS to deal with. Literally feels like your pelvis is going to snap in two at times it's not fun!
@whatwonder you'll need to let us know if the osteo is any good. I could get the midwife to refer me to the physio but I know the waiting list is long and most likely baby will be here or just about to be by the time I'm seen. I've got a belt somewhere from DS I need to look it out and just sitting when it's too sore to stand and standing when it's too sore to sit 😂 Glad I'm WFH now so other than the days DS isn't st nursery I can just listen to my body and do what it needs at the time.
@lexber I think you're looking amazing for carrying twins! Just listen to your body and if you need to lie in bed to rest those hips go for it. Last stretch now, you're nearly there!
@larrythelizard how kind of him to pass it on to you 🙈 Little sips of water and sips of Lucozade are my go tos. Also quite randomly but ever since I was young any time I've been sick I've craved a chicken pot noodle, no idea why don't know if its the stodge or something that helps and for some reason it can only be chicken flavour, I'd only eat half of it but always felt the better for it.
@paintfairy baby names can get so frustrating especially when you feel you've gone through every name under the sun and still either can't find one you like or one you and DH agree on. I'm actually so glad DS decided on babys name this time round, its saved me the stress of it 😂
And yip party time at night is a thing for babies, something to do with your movement during the day is like a soothing rocking for them and can make them sleepy so when you settle down at night in bed and are still they're then wide awake and ready to party.
@Franklydear not good on the spotting again. Did the docs ever get the right progesterone tests done for you to see what's going on with your hormone levels and did they do ones to rule out peri-menopause as causing your wacky cycles?
@vil10 I'm sure they'll check all of the Chambers again so don't worry. Pram shopping with your mum sounds like an exciting day out 😁 When I'm bloated I definitely can't feel baby move as much but as soon as the bloating reduces I definitely feel it ramp up again so maybe the bloating just masks the intensity of the movements.
DH did eventually realise he was in the wrong yesterday and started texting me from work to say he'd take DS out when he came home to give me some rest......it would have been far too late for DS by the time he got home but the sentiment was there, I just needed him to acknowledge why I was pissed. And he did stuff around the house to help out when he got home without me nagging about it. Good did come of it tho as the job they did has led to them getting another contract for higher pay. It does mean a few more overtime weekends but I don't mind as long as I've had the heads up about it and he acknowledges the extra pressure it puts on me.
Braxton hicks have majorly stepped up this week, they're getting more frequent every day and while not sore, some really do make me stop and take my breath away they're extremely uncomfortable. I know they're completely normal for this stage but really hoping the increase in them isn't a sign that baby is starting to prep for an earlier exit, I'll mention it to the midwife on Tuesday.
