Finding out gender tomorrow

So exited but nervous about finding out sex tomorrow anyone else in same boat :)?? I have a boy already and would love a girl but just want a healthy baby thats all that matters! :)

I had this same response months back when I was finding out the gender of my boy. It's almost like they DEMAND we feed into their ludicrous ideology that you can actually change your gender, rather than just wear different clothes and have surgery.

I reckon you’ve got this the wrong way round. Those posting to point out the difference between gender and sex are most likely gender critical, ie opposed to an ideology that believes you can change your sex by putting on a different outfit and changing your name.

I always found the scans amazing. Seeing their tiny fingers and bones.

That's the way I've read it aswell.

It does infuriate me that these private scan places market "gender scans" instead of sex scans as the language does matter and treating sex and gender as interchangeable things is clearly causing confusion.

Thankfully with my appointments during my pregnancies the 20 week scan was always referred to as either the 20 week scan or anomaly scan, putting the focus on the health of the baby, which is the only important thing to be found out at these scans.

All those people who have a problem with the word sex probably have a problem with the word vulva too.

Words do actually mean something. If you want to communicate effectively anyway.

Most of us do know the correct word (especially as it's always brought up on these threads 🙄). It's just not fair to come on someone's thread and point it out, in my opinion. We all know what the OP meant. People just have to be smartar*. Especially when it's quite obvious the OP has difficulty with grammar, by other words she's used. It's bullying behaviour.

The majority of people in the world believe that gender is not fluid, but is inextricably tied to sex. That is why the terms are used interchangeably.

Pretty sure the majority of the world, unless they are experts in sexism, believe gender to be absolutely made up bollocks.

The only reason they are (wrongly) interchanged is because sex also means something else and people get embarrassed saying it. How many scans do you think clinics would sell if they called them “sex scans”? It’s not right, but in marketing terms it sells.

Is this towards me? 🤔 I was trying to be helpful: I work in the field. You hadn't mentioned dyslexia, only autism. There are so, so many adults with undiagnosed dyslexia I was genuinely trying to be helpful.
