Feeling so so rough all the time now 🥴
Really trying to avoid actually throwing up, but it's a struggle.

DSP21 · 23/02/2022 15:45

Hey guys,

I got my bfp last week and to say it was unexpected is an understatement! I currently have a 10 month old and life has only just settled. She eats well, sleeps through and is just a very happy content baby. I just CANNOT imagine doing it all again so soon. I'm still bf (winding down as pregnancy is killing my supply) and honestly neither me or dh were happy about finding out, just both in utter utter shock. Is any one else in the same boat with potentially 2 under 2 or any of you gone through it?

Vie8126 · 23/02/2022 16:04

@DSP21 🙋‍♀️ yes, there's a few on here. My ds is coming up to 7 months and I'm 7wks pregnant.... Was not planned and took us a while to get over the shock so completely get how you both felt!!!

Vie8126 · 23/02/2022 16:05

Random emoji sorry baby trying to grab my phone 😂

Oh that does make me feel better but the thought right now makes me feel sickConfused

Vie8126 · 23/02/2022 16:46

@DSP21 the biggest thought that is causing me sleepless nights is going back from mat leave pregnant. I have 3 older children from a first marriage and the baby was meant to be the one and only for me and dp but seems a different story so I'll be a mum of 5.... That gives me palpatations 😂 we will likely need a new car as I don't thibk any doubles will fit as I struggle with the pushchair I currently have. We try to focus on things like the age gap with the kids meant ds would be a bit of an only growing up and he will now have a sibling.... Trying to not think of the days of a 14 month old and a newborn other than through rose tinted glasses right now!

I'm with you in that ds has been a ridiculously easy baby (teething at present so we have our moments) but has always slept good etc. It is daunting!

Changednamesorry · 23/02/2022 16:54

Hi everyone - added myself to the list! Due with my 3rd on 25th October!

Nervous and happy - I have an almost 11 year old and a 5 year old already. I'm excited! Nervous because I'm 37 years old but lots of people have babies later on don't they!

I feel actually way calmer this time around than I have before - symptoms are sore breasts and exhaustion and heightened sense of smell but I have given up caffeine and smoking so that might have something to do with the last two!

Wishing us all happy healthy pregnancies and babies 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Just realized I didn't post twice after all that 🤣

Mamamoo1234 · 23/02/2022 17:46

@Diamondbabe it was red but it was only a little and I’ve not had any pain or any more bleeding since, so I’ve calmed myself down a bit now.

@Dorset555 I’m so happy everything’s okay for you.

I’m dying to tell my boss at work but I keep talking myself out of it. I do think it would be better that people knew and they could support you and understand why you need the toilet a million times a day. Just feel like I’ll jinx it if I tell any more people.

Leibee87 · 23/02/2022 18:26

I know the feeling but you can't really jinx it (logically) i felt like that when dh started telling all his family (we were just going to tell parents/siblings but it suddenly ended up being more as we were caught in the moment) then that meant I had to tell my aunts/uncles/cousins too to make it "fair". Either way if something happens it isn't because we told to many people too early so if you need to tell them do it and let go of the guilt x

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 23/02/2022 18:34

I'm still worried about jinxing it. I was in town today and thought I might aswell get the Emma's diary pack while there but I chickened out lol

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 23/02/2022 18:52

I would do what's right for you.

My husband wanted to tell his whole family very early on at a big family gathering but I felt like that would put a lot of pressure on me.

We have since privately told a few close friends and family members even though it's very early partly because I've had some bleeding and we wanted advice and support.

Hi hun, I am going in almost exactly the same boat. My son will be 1 on Friday, I am still bf too and haven't even had a period yet 🤦🏽‍♀️ were in complete shock - definitely wasn't planned and this will be our 4th!!!

...BUT we're going to let it settle in a bit and then turn the page.

Will this be your 2nd? X

mummytothree88 · 23/02/2022 19:01

@dsp21 I've just read on lol not your 2nd 😇

This will be our second! First one is 11 months on friday. Everything I read about 2 under 2 is about 'coping' 'managing' 'surviving' and just wasnt what i'd imagined when getting pregnant again :(

@Dorset555 brilliant news! ❤️ try get some rest x

Congratulations and welcome to the new ladies 😊

mummytothree88 · 23/02/2022 20:15

@curlywurly3 I've clicked the link but I'm not sure if it's worked or not?

mummytothree88 · 23/02/2022 20:22

@Dsp21 I've always said I'd like 2 close together as I have 7years between my 3 so I'm both terrified and excited - I'm feeling all kinds of emotions actually.

Changednamesorry · 23/02/2022 20:27

@mummytothree88 I'm pregnant with my third this time and there's 6 years between the two I have already and my youngest is 5 so super spaced out!

I'm excited and nervous all at once. First midwife appointment tomorrow morning (not in UK) 🙂

I'll be in the 2 under 2 club too! My little boys almost 15 months so will be about 22/23 months between them. I am mentally preparing for it to be really tough and am just going to ask/pay for help to survive it!

I've always wanted a close age gap as there's similar between my sister and I and we're very close.

I'd also like to get all the nappies and sleepless nights done! My little one is not a good sleeper, he's slept through the night about 3 times. Still wakes every 3/4 hours.

My mum promised me the next will be a breeze lol, I think she just wants more grandchild ha ha.

I also thought you never know how long it takes to get pregnant so we'll start trying and... yep that's history ha ha.

I had an early scan today I was just exactly 6 weeks so very early. She did an internal scan and saw a heartbeat, I measured 1 or 2 days behind but I'm not too worried as she said everything's so tiny it's hard to get accurate measurements so I'm just going to trust in my body and hope the little heartbeat keeps growing!

Feeling knackered though, I swear pregnancy with a toddler is the worst lol. How's everyone else doing x

WinterBaby131 · 24/02/2022 04:40

@1stTimeTina
I feel the same. Recently the initial happiness of pregnancy has gone and the reality of it is slapping main the face everyday. The nausea is causing me to function at 50%, I feel useless that I'm struggling to do everyday things. Just the smell of things, I cant stand smells! I have a period of about and hour after lunch where I feel ok but then it starts again. I've been late to work twice because of it, this was noticed by management and I was told they needed to speak to me. I hate myself for having to tell them before I told my family, i did try and find my two close friends at work and told them before i had to tell management. My manager was ok and said he wont tell anyone but I dont believe him tbh.

Ive just woken up in hot sweats with my back aching, thinking about the fact that I'm going to have to give birth and what if its worst than last time.

Mamamoo1234 · 24/02/2022 06:08

@Changednamesorry I’m similar - I have 2 already (youngest is 6) and I’m having my third now. I never thought I’d have a third so I’m beyond excited.

@Diamondbabe pleased your scan went okay Smile

I’m starting to feel rubbish now too. I have a really bad cold as well on top of the pregnancy stuff. My biggest problem is constipation; is anyone else struggling with this? Going to try fybogel as apparently that’s safe to use.
