Quick update from me so I returned from my hols on Sat and contacted my GP on Mon to see what I needed to do for antenatal services and I was given a self referral form which I have done so just waiting for an appointment to come through.
I mentioned to the GP that I had had a couple of instances of light spotting whilst I was away and she so she referred me to the EGU at the hospital and I had a scan yesterday. Long story short, they eventually found an embryo with a heartbeat and everything looks to date but the sonographer was concerned as my gestational sac was slightly irregular, as in it wasn’t completely rounded/oval. One edge of it was not smooth. I’ve been booked in for 2 weeks for a follow up scan. I’m trying not to fear the worst in the meantime but I’m so nervous about a negative outcome. I know we should stay away from Google but I can’t help myself and there are so many mixed reviews as to what this might mean?! Early pregnancy is not fun is it? It’s so stressful, I wish I was still young and carefree. I didn’t even stop to think about anything when I had my previous 2DC all those years ago😩 I’ve got everything crossed and I’m hoping for the best but I’m definitely fearing the worst!

We had a bit of a scare last night and I’m freaked out now today. Has anyone had bleeding after sex since they’ve been pregnant? It was only a little and it stopped pretty quickly but I can’t help but feel worried now. It doesn’t help that I did the online referral over a week ago and I’ve heard nothing.

We have had sec and not had any bleeding but I do hear it's really common. Is the blood bright red? If not I wouldn't be concerned x

@JammieQueen it’s defo very stressful and Google isn’t a good friend in times like this - hours wasted and then be no wiser - I hope these 2 weeks don’t drag too much for you. Great that you seen and heard heartbeat 💗

Thanks so much for the well wishes overwhelmed to say that after hours and hours in Aand E and then maternity triage they've found it was a subchorionic bleed...not a miscarriage! Hoping this bleed won't effect things...has anyone else experienced? Guess I'll be googling it all afternoon!! What a rollecoaster x

Thank goodness for that @Dorset555. Happy for you. Now get some rest. I know when I had my reassurance scan they found a bleed in my uterus from implantation (but not the sac or anything that will harm baby) and they said it might come out at some point or it might not? Maybe that's the same thing? So glad all is OK though and yeah definitely rest and self care today x

Why oh why are women encouraged to keep their pregnancies quiet in the most challenging trimester. Drives me crazy. I just want to tell everyone how poorly I feel and be able to lean on people but so paranoid this will end in another loss that I’ve kept it quiet this time. Which is ridiculous as I don’t believe in keeping it hush hush at all but it must be drilled in somewhere deep down as I’m too scared to tell people. Sorry just a rant here! Feeling so nauseas and I have my three year olds birthday party this weekend, so much prepping to do and I stupidly decided I would make the cake, too late to order one now but baking a cake is seriously guna mess with my current 8:30pm bed time!!!

Hi everyone I had my bfp yesterday. EDD is the 30th.

This will be my 4th!! 🥴😅 we have 14yrDD, 7yrDS and another DS who is 1 this Friday!!

This little one is a happy surprise, I'm still breastfeeding so has come as a bit of a shock as I still haven't had a pp period lol.

@1stTimeTina that infuriated me too so I just ended up telling people. I'd need there support anyway if anything bad happens so.. It's such a dumb "rule". Can you buy a cake from the supermarket?

Hey, I tested positive at the weekend and from my dates think I’m due 24th October.
Feeling very anxious and excited at the same time. My only other pregnancy was ectopic so waiting to hear if I need additional scenes etc.
I’ve been having cramps and stomach pain but reasonably mild and started being sick last night which has made it feel a bit more real!

Pregnancy hormones are in full swing. Just snapped at a woman who parked in the only available baby and child space at sainsburys... Not like me at all, I usually have a quiet whinge to myself and move on lol, but felt compelled to say something.. She looked rather flustered afterwards

@1stTimeTina - agreed it’s so frustrating, especially at a time when you need your nearest and dearest the most..

@JammieQueen Welcome home ! And sorry you're having to have two weeks of waiting, I've been there and it's not fun. I'm not familiar with irregular shaped sacs or what it might mean but I do hope all turns out fine for you! I agree about being young and just carrying on like normal, I was 24 and so naive !! But I wasn't worrying at all! It was better that way definitely.

🤣🤣 My rage may have calmed down slightly now, I'm still argumentative but don't think I want to punch anyone for no reason anymore ! We'll see what happens

I am feeling the rage too over ridiculous things that wouldn't usually bother me. And then getting upset and crying cos I get that frustrated and angry. Literally the last two days!
