Hi all,

Starting thread #2 as our first is nearly full amazingly!

We also have a private Facebook group which @curlywurly3 has kindly set up. So hopefully see you there too Smile

Here's to the nausea, reassurance scans and long waits of the first trimester!

@Lap91 @Vie8126 I had this issue too. I'm on my phone and I logged onto Facebook in a new tab, then copy and pasted the link and because I was already logged in it took me straight to the group

HRHXO · 07/04/2022 16:00

Does anyone else feel so full all the time? I'm 13w tomorrow and can feel full after a snack like a yoghurt or a pack of crisps most days. TMI I know but I'm probably constipated. Anyone else feel this way and what have you done to help alleviate it?

xMari · 08/04/2022 03:52

Welcome @Maternitynamechange !

@HRHXO - try making a smoothie loaded with fruits, water and a bit of prune juice if it’s bad. It’s definitely a lot easier to get the nutrients in, if eating is hard

(Forgot to add my part lol)

Think my sickness is actually HG. I’m vomiting all day long now and I’m absolutely terrified to eat or drink because I know it’ll come right back up. Haven’t even heard from my midwife yet to contact her and ask for advice. It’ll be 4 days today and I’m just vomiting more frequently as the days go on. I know I’m incredibly dehydrated too so I might have to call 111 or something?

Has/does anybody suffer from HG? How are you coping?

Hi xMari - I'm a first time poster on here, but I have HG too, and due mid-October. It's awful, and it sounds like your similar to me. I've been in hospital a lot for rehydration, and now on 4 different medications which are starting to help. Don't let yourself get so dehydrated, i went to a&e who referred me to gynae/obstetrics who are monitoring me frequently now. Hope you get some help and feel better soon Thanks
xMari · 09/04/2022 08:36

Hi @nickim050521 and welcome to the October club.
Oh dear, are you able to eat a normal(ish) diet with the medication or on bland food? And do you consistently feel better or is just sometimes?

I was in hospital a few weeks back and had IV but they never referred me to anyone, they just said “drink more water, get rest”… but I suppose it wasn’t this bad then. I’ve told them it’s worse now and I’ll be heading to a&e once I can stomach the car ride, motion is a huge trigger.
I’m praying for the both of us that this doesn’t last until we’re full term Flowers

Motion is a huge trigger for me too. I hope when you go, they really offer you some proper help this time - it is awful. Thanks I'm still sick a few times throughout the day, but I suppose the medicine has helped me vomit 'less' if I can keep it down. I'm eating the blandest foods I can think of - mash, toast, etc. We will probably hate them by the end of our ordeal! I really hope that the both of us feel better soon, and I hope that when they give you some meds, that it helps you out. please message me if you need someone to moan toSmile

Anyone else feeling really uncomfortable and bloated? I'm 12 weeks today. My research is telling me it's normal but it's hard to work out what kind of crampy is normal, not in pain or anything so hoping that's fine!

Good morning everyone, would like to join if I may. I'm due 19th Oct but don't have my dating scan until after Easter by which point I'll almost be 14 weeks. I've also currently got Covid so feel this going to put my scan in doubt now too. I had my booking appt almost 3 weeks ago, prescribed 5mg folic acid and 150mg aspirin (just starting this at 12 weeks) seem to have been some changes since my previous pregnancy in 2015/16.

This first trimester has really dragged, finding out so early on I don't think has helped.

I know the feeling ! I'm 14 weeks today and I swear time has stood still the last two months!
DogsAndBirds · 11/04/2022 11:44

Hi all, just jumping onto this thread having been a member of the late Oct/early nov group. First timer here so everything is a learning curve!

Had my 12 week scan today and due the 20th October- all seemed okay with the little one.

PropertyTalk1 · 11/04/2022 15:22

Hi all. Due to have my scan on Thursday this week. I'll be 12 +4.
Today I have a really sore throat and terrified it's covid as it's obviously going around again in full force. Typical timing.
I have no tests, I've ordered some but can take longer especially due to upcoming Bank Holiday.
I'm scared I won't be able to have my scan if I have covid. Are they still doing scans if you have a positive covid test? My anxiety is through the roof. My friend is dropping a test off later thank god but I'm scared what the result will say. I've waited for this scan so long and now I'm worrying more than I should be.

ploopypleepy · 11/04/2022 17:10

Has anyone else developed red blotchy pigment on their face? I constantly look like I'm blushing !!

Nikki037297 · 11/04/2022 19:36

We had our gender scan and we are having a girl!! We are so excited!! We did believe it was a girl from the nub theory which was done at 13 weeks. Believed it so much I was already buying pink clothes the day after my scan lol. So I’m 15 weeks now and our gender scan confirmed we are having a baby girl. Has anyone else found out what they are having yet?
Also my awful dreadful sickness has gone!! I haven’t been sick for 9 days!

Nikki037297 · 11/04/2022 19:38

@PropertyTalk1 no you will not be able to attend hospital if you are positive for covid not unless it’s an emergency. But try not to worry there are alot of other bugs going around too we had covid a stomach bug then chicken pox all within 10 days!
