Hi @xMari , how are you feeling aside from the spotting ? I'm 9 weeks today have very little symptoms apart from some food aversions and huuuge bloating !

xMari · 22/03/2022 09:30

Thank you @LondonladyTTC ! Aww, how has your pregnancy been going so far?

Thank you also @NorfolkBird ! Will this be your 12week scan? I hope it all goes well!

Hello @ploopypleepy , I’m very emotional haha which is so weird for me and also still have huge food aversions too! Have so many incidents where I’ve ordered food or cooked something and then I’ll just smell it and be like “absolutely not” hahah
I hope your symptoms stay subtle, will be such a relief for you!

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 22/03/2022 09:56

Morning everyone. Feeling sorry for myself as I've tested positive for Covid. Ladies who've had it when pregnant did you get lower back ache ? My hips and lower back are in bits but obviously being 11 weeks pregnant it's making me wonder what's Covid and what's the pregnancy

NorfolkBird · 22/03/2022 10:39

@xMari Yes I'll be 12 wks can't wait 2 see my lil 1 on screen & will have grown since 9 wks ☺

NorfolkBird · 22/03/2022 10:41

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits Awww I hope u feel better soon Flowers

LondonladyTTC · 22/03/2022 11:26

@xMari it's been pretty good so far thanks, I have been very lucky as tiredness seems to be my only significant symptom, and it has definitely eased off this week. Lack of symptoms makes me even more anxious though! 😬 I am looking forward to my 12 week scan as hoping I will become more relaxed and will be able enjoy it.

Mamamoo1234 · 22/03/2022 13:52

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits aww no hope you’re feeling okay. I’ve not had back ache yet with this one, not sure if it’s a covid thing. Could you maybe call the midwife for advice?

@xMari congrats on your scans and welcome.

I’ve had to take the day off work today and I’m feeling massive guilt. I’m 9 weeks 4 days and all my symptoms have peaked. I had a day off a couple of weeks ago too. Can’t wait for the third trimester. Is anyone else struggling with symptoms to the point they can’t go to work some days? I never have time off so I’m sat here worrying about it Confused

Mamamoo1234 · 22/03/2022 13:57

Lol I mean can’t wait for the 2nd trimester! Not ready the little one just yet Grin

xMari · 22/03/2022 14:42

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits Couldn’t imagine going through Covid and pregnancy at the same time. Wish you such a speedy recovery!

@NorfolkBird such a huge milestone to reach 12wks! Fingers crossed for you and hope the rest of us get there safely too!

@LondonladyTTC oh yeah, that’s very lucky! And try not to worry about lack of symptoms, I’m sure they say it’s only if you had the symptoms and then they disappear you should get checked.. even then, we all know it’s a huge rollercoaster and no 2 days are the same with symptoms anyway haha

@Mamamoo1234 thank you! I stopped working right before I found out I was pregnant but I couldn’t imagine getting up at stupid o’clock in the morning, with how I feel some days. Definitely don’t feel guilty for taking rest days, your body is going through a lot right now

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 22/03/2022 15:20

Thank you. Honestly I feel awful. I thought it was supposed to be mild now ?!
Aching all over, shivers, terrible headache and congestion. Nearly had my 24 hours paracetamol dosage 😩😩

Mamamoo1234 · 22/03/2022 16:35

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits sounds awful Sad hope you start feeling better soon x

AutumnFrost22 · 22/03/2022 17:02

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well.

Just joining this group as due 24th October so 9wk +1 (according to my dates) but have first Midwife appt tomorrow and hopefully a scan soon to confirm.

Feeling nauseous a lot and tired but everything else seems to have eased (had weird hot & cold shivers at the start).

Hope all of your pregnancies are going well so far ☺️

AutumnFrost22 · 22/03/2022 17:03

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits ooh that sounds tough :/ hope it gets better for you soon, try and take it easy as much as possible X

Samthenanny · 22/03/2022 18:25

NorfolkBird · 22/03/2022 20:09

@AutumnFrost22 Hey im doing well so far the nausea has been abit rough but I just grab a ginger biscuit helps me! Been counting down the days til my 12 wk scan only 1 wk now. Thinking about how I'm going 2 cope in the summer because we will have bumps then! Will be boiling & I have a physical job but I've told them I'm leaving in August. Yes I've already thought that far ahead!

AutumnFrost22 · 22/03/2022 21:27

@NorfolkBird ooh 1 week, that's so exciting! ☺️ Yes, that's true! Good you've thought that far ahead with your job being physical, will put your mind at ease. I've downloaded the Pregnancy+ app and it's so good, gives you week by week updates with a 3d model (which is a bit freaky at first but less so as the weeks progress 😅)

Vie8126 · 23/03/2022 05:56

Hey everyone!! Hope you're all doing well, welcome to the newbies and congrats!!

12 weeks Sunday finally starting to feel better and dp broke his arm and had an op. Means literally all driving, cooking, housework, looking after 7 month old has fallen to me (right arm he broke) his in agony the 7 month old has not been well and was diagnosed with asthma so his up all night coughing and dp is up and down in pain. It's been hell. What a way to finish up my mat leave! We usually really good at splitting house and baby stuff 50 50 so really feeling it managed to trap a nerve in my lower back from lugging everything around solo. So it's been 'fun'

Had a work meeting yesterday to plan my return from current mat leave and to tell them I'm pregnant. That went down like a lead balloon with the meeting cut short and my boss just said I can't talk to you about this right now I'll need some advice and I was sent on my way!

Have f2f midwife on Thursday for booking appointment, had my bloods done at the weekend so all good. 12 week scan in two weeks but I will be 13wks 6days so apprehensive due to my age that its borderline for nuchal scan so will be asking midwife on Thursday.

Leibee87 · 23/03/2022 10:22

@Vie8126 my 12 week scan is also being done at 13+6 (two weeks today eeee) I was also really concerned about that but I think as long as it's done before 14 wks it's meant to be fine.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. Thought I'd feel less anxious at this point but nope. Maybe once my scan is done? (Already seen bubble twice though haha) Feel like symptoms are easing a bit but not sure. Each day can differ. Definitely enjoying the sunshine though.

Vie8126 · 23/03/2022 11:15

@Leibee87 yes all fine as long as before 14 weeks but I'm 41 and worried that it's a bit too close I'm not 100% of my dates or my cycle due to having ds in August last year so could potentially put me over that 14 weeks. Yes Im with you with symptoms sometimes I'm completely fine and other days the horrible sickness comes back to bite me!!!

emmajane90 · 24/03/2022 08:03

How are we all feeling going into the second trimester?? I have a private scan at my mum and dad's house tomorrow (it's their next door neighbour and she does mobile scans) which I'm so excited for 🥰🥰 and then I'm announcing it on Sunday (Mother's Day!) which is my official 12 weeks point, eeeeek! Here's how I'm announcing it 🥺 such an exciting part of the pregnancy. My back pain has worn off in the last couple of days thankfully too, so I might actually be able to enjoy being pregnant once I've had this scan to reassure me 😅

Due October 2022 thread #2 ... the first trimester continues!
ploopypleepy · 24/03/2022 08:23

@emmajane90 Awhh I love that idea!! Let us know how your scan gets on ! My friend who's a midwife came to mine to use a Doppler machine on me last night .... she couldn't find anything for 30 minutes it was awful... then suddenly we heard the heartbeat which sounded like a train!! Was lovely, I'm 9 + 3 now and it's starting to feel real!

NorfolkBird · 24/03/2022 08:40

@emmajane90 Aww how exciting!! Not long to wait til my 12 wk scan. Thought my sickness had gone but I chucked up my breakfast seeing my midwife soon. I'm so pleased 2 have got this far after so many loses so thankful & happy

HermioneGr · 24/03/2022 12:25

Haven't been on here in a while but thought I'd specifically sign in to let you know I just craved a turkey subway with extra cheese and caeser dressing, no salad, and went and got one, and it was genuinely the best thing I've ever tasted. What have you craved that has hit the spot recently? 😂

xMari · 24/03/2022 15:06

@HermioneGr I love how specific your craving was, actually made me chuckle!
I woke a few days ago wanting a roast chicken dinner (at breakfast time), so I went to my mom’s and she made me one. It was the best roast I’ve ever had 😂

Smarsh32 · 24/03/2022 16:03

Hi all, hope you are all well. We had our 12 week scan today. It was amazing. After all the spotting and things over the first couple of weeks, we are over the moon ❤
