We also have a private Facebook group which @curlywurly3 has kindly set up. So hopefully see you there too Smile

Here's to the nausea, reassurance scans and long waits of the first trimester!

It was a private booking. I asked if everything was okay and she said baby is fine but she needed to ask these questions and she asks everyone as part of her job. Surely she would say if there was any concerns right?

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits if she said it wasn’t a concern, I’m sure it’ll be fine. When is your 12 week scan? X

Sorry I must've read your post wrong, I thought you said she saw something concerning ! In that case yeah I'm sure she was just being thorough! I've had 3 scans now and they have always checked out my ovaries etc too so I think it's standard. Yeah she didn't seem worried and said it's common and might reabsorb, I did have some bleeding a couple of weeks ago but this was apparently from old implantation bleeding. Such a worry early pregnancy I've been such a mess
Mamamoo1234 · 15/03/2022 20:17

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits It’s so worrying early on. I’m not sure if having a scan has made me worry more. Sounds like it won’t be anything to worry about if she didn’t seem bothered x

Leibee87 · 15/03/2022 20:19

@Mamamoo1234 in both my private scans they have checked ovaries etc and asked me about bleeding /pelvic pain etc I think it's normal. In my first one I had a haematoma and by the second (3 weeks later) it had reabsorbed into the body.

My hips aren't quite painful especially in the morning and I have had slight backache here and there.

Mamamoo1234 · 15/03/2022 20:25

Thanks @Leibee87 that’s eased my worries a lot. I think there was a bit of a miscommunication with my sonographer at the appointment. I’m such a worrier, it doesn’t take much to set me off.

BecLJ · 15/03/2022 20:38

@mamamoo1234 I was also asked similar questions at my early scans (for my previous pregnancy and this one).

My first nephew was born today. He's gorgeous and makes my 18 month old look huge! Also made me think how I'll have another tiny baby in 6 or so months time (fingers crossed). Makes it feel very real

Hope everyone is doing well xx

@NorfolkBird my back is absolutely horrendous, it's my worst symptom. I have a microwaveable wheat bag which seems to help (midwife said it's safe to use) but other than that I get no relief from it. I had a pregnancy pillow delivered today so I'm hoping that will make a difference 🤞🏻

How long until your 12 week scan?

NorfolkBird · 15/03/2022 21:50

@emmajane90 Yeah I'll need to get something for it its killing right now! Just counting down the days until the 29th lol

Nikki037297 · 16/03/2022 00:09

I’m 10-11 weeks now and super thirsty!! Drinking water like it’s going out of fashion and I don’t usually ever drink water but I can’t get enough of it! Anyone else this thirsty?

NorfolkBird · 16/03/2022 06:54

@Nikki037297 That happened to me when I didn't know I was pregnant. I thought it was because I just recovered from covid. But water is the drink I go to during the day

NorfolkBird · 16/03/2022 07:08

I got myself a doppler its arriving in a few hrs!

ploopypleepy · 16/03/2022 07:50

@Nikki037297 I'm super thirsty too... probably drinking twice the amount I used too!

jadew88 · 16/03/2022 09:54

Went for an early scan last night. Little blob's measurements put me at 9+3 rather than the NHS estimate of 8+5.

It did a little dance and waved too which was really bizarre! Good strong heart beat!

Hopefully this is a little reassurance to anyone else who has had hardly any symptoms, as I've only had tender boobs, some tiredness and occasional extremely mild nausea. And by occasional I mean I can go for days.

Also she checked out the rest of my anatomy and said I have some corpus luteum cysts on my left ovary which are normal and should just go on their own - it means baby most likely came from the left.

All in all a positive experience, and it was Window To The Womb we used and they were great 😊

So lovely !! I also went for another scan as I was freaking out and saw baby moving around, like it was swimming backwards !! Amazing
Mamamoo1234 · 16/03/2022 20:20

@BecLJ defo think I’ve been overthinking it Blush they grow so quickly. Defo want to soak up all those first days and weeks this time.

Is anyone using Badgernotes? I had my bloods and urine done 2 weeks ago now. Got my bloods published on there but for the msu it just says not published? Anyone else had that?

I’m feeling so rough today. I’ve gone from feeling sick unless I keep eating to feeling like I don’t want to eat. Didn’t even want a curry my mum had made me tonight. Have just felt lifeless and awful all day. When do the symptoms usually ease off? I Confused can’t remember

Leibee87 · 16/03/2022 20:36

@Mamamoo1234 same. Eating is such a chore at the moment. The only meal I ever feel like eating at the moment is lunch. Because my nausea is worst morning and night.

Feel really shit at the moment. Slightly worried its more than pregnancy symptoms as dh feels a bit rough too. Hoping it isn't the dreaded covid.

Nikki037297 · 16/03/2022 20:37

Thanks everyone glad I’m not a lot with this thirsty stuff!
@NorfolkBird I got one last week oh it’s amazing!!! Took me 20 mins or so until I found baby, heart rate was 175bpm, I took a video. There is times Iv been unable to find it but Iv tried again later on then found it. It’s an amazing sound to hear makes it seam so much more real to just be able to listen to the baby In my own bedroom

NorfolkBird · 16/03/2022 20:42

I couldn't find their heartbeat will try again tomorrow. It said 200bpm I freaked out & put it down! 🥴

Nikki037297 · 16/03/2022 20:46

Oh dear lol mine came up with 405 but it just said it for a second and there wasn’t even a heart rate noise at the time lol I only pay attention to how fast once it’s picked it up for a few solid seconds

Lndnew · 16/03/2022 21:26

Has anyone else had covid in early pregnancy? I'm 9 weeks and my finance just tested positive so I'm scared I'm also likely to test positive shortly. Already feeling awful with morning sickness and not sure how will cope.

AprilShowers92 · 17/03/2022 15:50

Hi all, I’m new here. Currently 10w3days, due 10th October. I had some spotting at 6 weeks so had an EPU scan then and have had spotting again this week so have booked a private scan for tomorrow evening just to check everything is okay. I’ve been off work this week as I’ve been quite ill but the drs said they couldn’t give me anything for it - it’s like a cold but quite extreme yet not covid as my tests have been negative! Sorry for the long introductory ramble!

NorfolkBird · 17/03/2022 16:24

@AprilShowers92 Hi 👋 my edd was the 9th but when I had my scan they put me as the 10th too. I've not had any blood so far. Which is a miracle! When u had you're scan did they say baby was growing well? Its a worrying time the 1st trimester, nearly at 2nd though

AprilShowers92 · 17/03/2022 16:38

Hi @NorfolkBird! They said all was fine “for now” (I understand they don’t want to be liable for anything but it was v clinical!) and I did see a flickering heartbeat. When I spoke to the midwife last week she said the scan looked good to her so I’m just hoping it’s old blood/nothing to worry about 🤞🏼 My NHS scan is at 13 weeks too so keeping everything crossed!

NorfolkBird · 17/03/2022 16:50

@AprilShowers92 My next scan is on the 29th. I hope everything is dandy. Cant be nice 4u being ill aswell as being pregnant
