I haven't been on the thread for few days so a bit behind on the messages!

@WinterBaby131 so sorry that you are feeling so low. It is such a worrying time isn't it. In my last pregnancy I found my anxiety didn't ease much until I could feel her kicking (and even then I was worried).

Cramps can definitely be a normal part of pregnancy, things are stretching and preparing. I'm 9+3 and getting lots of cramps - I had an early scan last week and the baby is fine. I do think when you're pregnant you're much more in tune and aware of how your body is feeling.

Just think that you are doing everything you can do at the moment by speaking to your doctor and its great that you are getting a scan this afternoon. Hopefully that will help ease your anxiety. I found just trying to focus on the next appointment/ scan / milestone helped me generally.

For those suffering with morning sickness I've been told to buy ginger root & parsley brew it. I'm going 2 try it.

@WinterBaby131 I've had twinges in my tummy but not like period pains i worry sometimes as I've had 5 mc's & 1 ectopic I only have 1 tube. I really hope you're scan puts you're mind at rest

My sickness is terrible today and it’s our date night and each week Iv been dreading it more and more we always go out for dinner and Iv tried various stuff from the menu in the hope it won’t make me sick all I can happily manage is a salad but that doesn’t fill me what so ever. I hope this sickly feeling wears off before 7pm or I’m doomed

Also sorry to hear about everyone suffering with sickness and tiredness. I'm with you! U weeks and incapable of looking after my toddler, I've come to my parents for the week so they can handle her. It is exhausting..

For those of you who have 2+ kids already.... What was most difficult..

Bring pregnant with one or more kids already (toddler age) or having a newborn with a toddler? I'm hoping the pregnancy stage with a toddler is the hardest bit??? Haha

@WinterBaby131 was feeling exactly like this all week. Had a miscarriage diagnosed last year at 7+3 (no growth after 6w) so went for an early scan this morning (6+6) and all fine. I feel relieved and cautiously optimistic: is a scan an option for you?

Had heartburn last week on and off. My only constant symptom is my boobs are hard and enlarged (I am usually pretty flat chested 😂) all seems very strange to me as my last pregnancy I was sick as a dog and couldn’t eat a thing. Strange!

Yeah I haven't been sick touch wood. With my DD I was sick everyday for months. I'm thinking I'm carrying a boy. This might sound funny but I keep getting bubbles from my vagina! Any1 else getting this? This is only my 2nd pregnancy

I feel my sickness is gone for the day and we are going out for dinner soon and I’m actually hungry!! I’m usually tucking myself into bed by now though lol hope I don’t fall asleep at dinner lol

@MPlus2 I've barley had a symptom so far except exhaustion. Hoping all is well despite this and I've just been lucky not to have sickness. I'm 6+6

Yes to the bubbles feeling.

I think I might be spotting a bit (like a teeny tiny bit) If I wipe there is nothing but definitely the odd darker cm marks in my knickers. Will keep an eye on it.

Also am so with you with the tiredness. Like I have been hit by a bus. I suffer with tiredness anyway and being pregnant has definitely ramped it up a lot. I'm either at work or in bed haha. Hoping t2 will be better. Only a few more weeks to go till we are there.

Thank you for reassuring messages. Thought I'd give a quick update. The scan went fine, which reassured me so much, felt like a right tit when she showed me the baby and heartbeat I started blubbering, they were all so lovely to me. I thought I was 8w+1 but I'm 9w+something.

I'm feeling a lot better today, need to keep this positive feeling going. I've been having a hard time at work and it's really pushed me mentally. I know I've got to put it aside and focus on the pregnancy.

I have a scan tomorrow where I should be 8 + 5/6, that should be fairly accurate as I had a scan a week ago.
It's awful that I feel the need for so much reassurance, I had like 1 teeny spot of blood when wiping last week, so whilst I would've waited that would've made me super anxious so I figured best reassure myself everything is ok!
Did you know that after 8 weeks with a heartbeat, miscarriage risk reduces to 2% and after 10 weeks it reduces to 0.6% - those stats have helped me....

Once again I am soooo happy for you!

Sorry if I’m doing this wrong I’m new to this, it’s my first time.
I was just looking for some advice, and have been told on my pregnancy emails this is a good place to start.
I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant, and apart from sore breasts and massive tiredness I’m not having any morning sickness or any other symptoms of pregnancy.
I was just wondering if anyone else is having this and is it normal?
I went for a early scan last week thinking I was later than I was and all you could see was the ‘yolk’ which I was told was normal.
Just abit anxious about it all with this being my first time pregnancy.

@Aimee022 if you are 6 weeks it’s quite normal to only see a yolk sac. I had a scan at 5-6 weeks not sure 6 she said and she seen the yolk but no baby. I had to go back in 2 weeks. It was a very long 2 weeks but my baby was much bigger when I went back last week. Morning sicknsss doesn’t always start till 6-7-8 weeks and not everyone gets it. How far along did you think you were before you had the scan? When did you first get a positive pregnancy test?

I had such a strange dream that I was in my garden and there was an alien space ship and the light shon down and I floated up the light into their space ship and it was full of other people who had also been abducted some had been missing for years!! I told them I was pregnant and I had cctv in my garden so they would be caught unless they took me back and they took me back and my family were going crazy saying I’d been missing a week lol. What a strange dream!!! Is anyone else having very strange vivid dreams???

Currently waiting outside the hospital for a scan due to bleeding. So scared. And super early for my appointment which isn't helping the nerves

Ah great thanks that’s reassured me a lot.
I thought I was 9 weeks so got a shock when I couldn’t see a baby!
My first positive test was 21/2/22 and my last period was 22/1/22 so that makes me 6 weeks today.
I still haven’t told anyone apart from my partner so finding it hard not having any women to ask questions to other than google!
From reading this thread I think I’m best waiting another 2 weeks to book a scan
