Congratulations @xTinkerbell and @cutejeans. Both absolutely gorgeous babies Smile

@JW2021 I am also still waiting for baby to arrive. Due date is Christmas Day but no sign of him yet. Booked in for a sweep with the midwife on the 27th if nothing happens before then.

Just been and spent £70 on food for Christmas period for me and OH so I’m hoping that Sod’s law will prevail and we won’t get to eat any of it as he will arrive Grin

NightDreaming · 21/12/2021 22:34

Congratulations on the new babies! Lovey seeing all the photos. Still pregnant here…. 35.5wks. Had a false start yesterday. Really hoping it will quieten down for a week but not holding out hope. Could be any day. Have got myself really worried that when it does happen, if husband has a positive LFT they won’t let him into the hospital. Anyone got experience of this?

jadey1991 · 21/12/2021 22:42

@NightDreaming congrats on your pregnancy. Not long for you now. I was told by my midwife that if myself or birthing partner test positive then we will have our own room isolated from everyone else. Luckily none of use were positive so we were ok

ImStayingInside · 21/12/2021 23:32

Hi ladies can I join? My actual due date is 10th Jan, but I have an elective c section booked for 30th December.
Congratulations to those whose babies are here already! I can’t believe I only have 9 days left to wait!

jadey1991 · 21/12/2021 23:42

@Decadesbcun thanks. It's one of the ways he likes to sleep lol

@ImStayingInside hello, wel come to the thread. Congratulations on your pregnancy. It's never too late to join. Is this your first baby? Do you know what your having

OP posts:
ImStayingInside · 21/12/2021 23:47

@jadey1991 it’s my second, but my DD will be 11 in January, so I feel as clueless as I was with my first!
We have stayed team green, so it will be a nice surprise on the day. Everyone is guessing boy, but I would be delighted with either.

jadey1991 · 21/12/2021 23:50

@ImStayingInside aww that's lovely. I have 2 daughters 13 and 7 and my new baby son. Me and OH was very happy to have a little boy. This is my last pregnancy. So are you excited?

OP posts:
ImStayingInside · 22/12/2021 00:11

We are very excited, I am also pretty nervous about Covid. Me and DH are both triple vaxxed, but only got our boosters last week, so still need time to build immunity. I have been WFH since 28 weeks, so I have been able to minimise contact but DH only finished work for Christmas today so I am just hoping and praying that neither of us test positive as I am very VERY nervous at the thought of having a c section on my own.

jadey1991 · 22/12/2021 00:48

@ImStayingInside aww bless you, it's normal to feel nervous but I'm sure there would be something in place to allow your partner to be there if worse comes to worse. You got this hun

OP posts:
xTinkerbell · 22/12/2021 02:27

@ImStayingInside I had the same anxieties and was doing lft’s everyday. All turned out to be fine. I did tell the midwife I was very anxious over it though and she talked me through what would happen if worst case scenario happened and I was covid positive which helped massively.

Here’s my 2 babies together. Can’t believe how dark haired Aria is, I expected another blondie

NightDreaming · 22/12/2021 08:37

@jadey1991 thank you. Have just reread my post. I’m 38.5wks, not 35.5wks 🙈. Messaging when tired is not a good plan! Good to hear what your midwife said about positive results and still being allowed in. Have my last midwife appointment on Thursday, will quiz her on my local hospital policy, hopefully the same.

jadey1991 · 22/12/2021 09:50

@xTinkerbell aww bless look at her. She looks adorable. Your eldest looks so happy. Aww her happy might change when she gets older.
