I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

Yes maybe they did take my transfer date as LMP but I told her it wasn't and she still argued. I had to really put my foot down. I do wish I'd worked out an equivalent LMP and used that. My scan will be at 13 weeks so not too late.

strawberrysummer19 · 19/01/2022 19:40

@paintfairy just wondering have you now completed my stopped progesterone? I was weaning off this week and since Sunday been doing one a day - was going to do my last one tonight providing everything was ok in scan which it was but just wondering how slow you weaned off as know we are similar in dates xx

paintfairy · 19/01/2022 19:44

@strawberrysummer19 no. 🤣 I'm still weaning. I'm down to 200mg a day. I'm so paranoid.

strawberrysummer19 · 19/01/2022 19:46

@paintfairy I'm going to do my one I was planning tonight I'm Also on 200mg a day - I suppose weaning for a little longer isn't going to hurt,it just feels wrong to stop yet! So thought I'd check with you x maybe a few more days?! X

paintfairy · 19/01/2022 19:49

@strawberrysummer19 I'm sure it'll be fine. They don't even say you need to wean off it and I'm sure everyone just stops fine. But being safe isn't a bad thing! Just makes me feel better. 🤣

Cakecakecheese · 19/01/2022 20:15

I didn't wean off progesterone and was fine but totally understand why people do and it might have helped my anxiety tbh.

2mumlife · 20/01/2022 07:37

@Cakecakecheese Thats bizzare with your dates! Get them told! Did your IVF clinic to write to your GP to confrim your due date? I know my clinic have and I have a copy of the letter for any midwives

Cakecakecheese · 20/01/2022 08:07

No there wasn't a due date letter from my clinic, just the summary of the procedure, meds etc.

I've complained to PALS. My friend had an IVF pregnancy at the same hospital and the same thing happened to her. Her son is 7! It's not good enough that they're still making these mistakes.

TheSnufflet · 20/01/2022 12:27

I've just got back from the hospital and have two very wriggly, 'structurally normal' little babes measuring at 13+0, so a day ahead! I could not get over how much they have grown and how much they move even now Shock

2mumlife · 20/01/2022 13:44

@Cakecakecheese Thats shocking. Hopefully you can get it sorted. Surely when they scan you they will realise the dates are WAY out???

@TheSnufflet How lovely!

Anxiety is kicking in a bit for me now about scan on Monday. I'm 7weeks today, and feeling slightly alarmed that last few days my nausea and tiredness haven't been so bad. I don't know if I'm just finally working out ways of working with my symptoms or if I need to be worried my hcg levels have dropped, because according to all these week-by-week pregnancy things I should be feeling even worse rather than better

Cakecakecheese · 20/01/2022 14:29

@2mumlife That's how the midwife tried to fob me off 'it'll show up at the scan how far you are'. Well yes but you still need to get my dates right as there's tests that need to be done before a certain week.

I would say try not to worry about the nausea going, but I've been there and it's natural to worry, but honestly these things do come and go. You think it's gone and then it's like 'I'm baaaack'.

TheSnufflet · 20/01/2022 16:11

@2mumlife I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about it - every woman reacts so differently to pregnancy and symptoms genuinely can come and go. You can absolutely drive yourself mad about it! I freaked myself out a lot as I've never vomited once throughout the pregnancy (just dry-heaved a lot) whereas supposedly the amounts of HCG coursing around my system with twins should have me hugging the toilet like the aftermath of too much tequila according to a bunch of people on pregnancy fora, but nope!

paintfairy · 20/01/2022 17:00

@TheSnufflet fantastic news!
@2mumlife yeah I'm 13 weeks and haven't even heaved. So I wouldn't worry. It really varies. I did feel up and down but it all calmed down at 10 weeks and I've felt pretty normal since!

Donimo · 20/01/2022 17:40

@TheSnufflet thats great glad they are both doing so well. Have they referred you to a fetal medicine centre for care now?

strawberrysummer19 · 20/01/2022 18:39

Can anyone recommend any good bras with support?

I have a large chest and small back so struggle with bras as it is. I'm 30F but my bras now are literally cutting into me, around my breasts and underneath

Actual bra recommendations would be helpful

Also for larger breast ladies - I sleep in a hidden support top (from m &s ) and that's now too small and cuts in - surely there must be bigger busts than me ! I'm sooo uncomfortable

Also I'm itchy on my bump and now boobs and think it's where I'm growing. I use bio oil and moister for my bump but any recommendations on moisturisers for my boobs?

Thank you ladies

X

Cakecakecheese · 20/01/2022 18:47

@strawberrysummer19 Palmers Cocoa butter does a good boob cream.

As for bras have you looked into Molke? I've not tried them myself but a lot of people love them.

strawberrysummer19 · 20/01/2022 18:51

I shall add that to my list thank you.

Ohh no I haven't, I shall have a looksey x

Porridgeislife · 20/01/2022 19:02

@strawberrysummer19 I was a 28E pre pregnancy and I’m wearing Sloggi Zero Feel bras as they’re good for small backs.

uk.triumph.com/bralette/sloggi-zero-feel/10186738.html

I have no idea what I am now. Pre pregnancy I didn’t really need a bra when at home but now they hurt if they’re not supported, and these do the trick.

strawberrysummer19 · 20/01/2022 19:14

@Porridgeislife lucky you, i really can't get away with no bra, feel so uncomfortable! Would you say size s or m? X

TheQueensCousin · 20/01/2022 19:28

Just wanted to pop onto the thread to wish all of you lovely IVF mums well. My ICSI/IVF 'baby' is now 22y 10m! It seems that there is now more research and treatment than in those days and things have moved on a lot more since I started going through the rounds of IVF nearly 30 years ago. I never had any more children but DS is my world. He's also turned into a lovely, kind human being. Sending Thanks to you all x

Porridgeislife · 20/01/2022 20:56

@strawberrysummer19 I’m in a small and wore extra small before pregnancy. Amazon usually has some colours cheap so might be worth checking there.

They’re definitely more supportive than the cheap sports bras I bought off Amazon once I started popping out of my regular ones Blush

strawberrysummer19 · 20/01/2022 21:25

@TheQueensCousin ah that's so lovely to hear - thank you for sharing x

strawberrysummer19 · 20/01/2022 21:26

@Porridgeislife thank you some of the pictures look very small so was curious but as your similar size to me I'll get ordering 😀thank you x

Holskey · 20/01/2022 22:10

Good news on your scan @TheSnufflet I'm glad it went well 🥰

@TheQueensCousin how lovely. All the women that went before make it all the more possible for us now ❤ Hopefully IVF will just keep getting better and better

2mumlife · 21/01/2022 10:42

@Cakecakecheese Yeah, hearing all this stuff about timing of tests at the 12 week scan made me realise how important it is that they get your dates right to start with.

@TheSnufflet I've not vommited either, but I definitely have felt a lot better last 3/4 days, and every day seem to be feeling progressively less symptoms, so I'm pretty spooked at this point, considering I've had consistent nausea and exhuastion pretty much since OTD. I'm only just 7 weeks so apparently right now is when all the symptoms should be getting worse...

@strawberrysummer19 Try bravissimo?
