I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling?

Hi I'm 5+2 today. Have had 4 Early Miscarriages this year so hoping this is my time! Had a small amount of light brown discharge tonight which has put me into a panic! X

I'm 5weeks+4days and feeling very excited and scared at the same time. This was our first set of BFP after almost 3 yrs of trying so it feels like magic!
At the same time, I'm constantly symptom spotting and surprised 'how pregnant' I feel already. Tired as hell (need a nap twice a day), lots of bloating and lower and upper stomach cramps in the evenings, a bit of nausea in the afternoons, and increased appetite at the same time. Is this all normal? I thought this wouldn't hit me until later on...I am thinking about booking a private scan because the 12 weeks scan seems ages away and these daily strong pressures/cramps in my tummy scare me!
Glad to read that other mums to be are in the same boat! All very exciting so shouldn't really complain anything...been waiting for this for long enough! 🤰🏻

charlotte0808 good luck! It’s a bittersweet time isn’t it. I wouldn’t worry too much over discharge, implantation bleeding is brown or pink, I had it for 2 days around the time I had my BFP. Also many women have some harmless spotting in early pregnancy. X

Sounds normal to me, though i get how anxious you must be after 3 years TTC. This is my second pregnancy and it took a couple of years and a lap&dye to convince this time so it feels a bit magical too.

I remember feeling all those symptoms too, they tend to be worse in a first pregnancy as your body’s adjusting. The cramping and pressure is the womb expanding and the pelvic ligaments stretching, increased blood flow to the area etc. I’m getting cramps slightly this time, but not as bad as the first time. It’s more if I move suddenly I get a spasm.

I’m falling asleep daily and insomniac at night, also having nausea and random cravings (eg I order a takeaway then can’t eat it)!

And sore boobs and darker nipples. Fortunately I’m still wearing the bf bralettes from 6 years ago. I recommend non wired bralettes or sports bras for comfort! X

@Blondiebrownie6 Did you take the digital? I hope you saw that 3+ It's very hard but you are doing the right thing and keep positive! How exciting, just look forward to that day (it will come round fast). I have an early scan on Tuesday, the 28th of September so next week, I'll be 7 weeks. I'm feeling well but increased nausea and I'm super tired. I'm in bed by 9.30pm these days!! Do you have symptoms? x

@LIB2020 YES! Cat naps are the best haha. Sounds like everything is moving in the right direction for you. Congratulations lovely

@GEM711 So normal to be anxious, although, try your best to keep calm. Have you got your 12 week scan date?

@FateHasRedesignedMost Welcome It sounds like everything is going well, despite the niggly symptoms. Have you booked your 12 week scan? Also re bras, have you tried the JoJo Maman Bebe ones that expand as your boobs grow? I loved these when I was pregnant with my son!

@charlotte0808 Lovely line, congratulations. As long as it's light brown and not filling a pad/bright red - has it calmed down?

@MamikH Hey So true, we love symptoms as they reassure us things are going well. I hope you feel better soon and once that placenta takes over, you shouldn't feel as bad. Are you going to book a private scan?

@babyboybluex thanks! Yeah we've booked a private scan for this Friday. It's probably the best spent £79 - Can't wait to hear some reassuring words (hopefully). I've realised I'm usually quite sensitive to the effects of full moon, which is why I felt so crap yesterday. Much more optimistic and less tired today! Phew.

Hey. It's only now and again when I wipe either light brown or light yellow it looks. Not quite sure. I've got a scan booked for Monday anyway so hopefully all will be well. I've done another test just to see and seems ok x

6+1 weeks and had some cheapy tests that HAD to be used

@babyboybluex I did get the 3+ on Saturday so that’s great :) I haven’t tested since then and now I’m convincing myself something has gone wrong! Its awful! I think at least with the tests you can see the progression whereas now it’s just nothing :/

I’m 6 weeks today , Defos feeling a bit more tired and yawning in all my meetings that was picked up on today…oooppss! Had some waves of sickness in the afternoon/evening time, just need to keep well fed! Gone off some things I’d usually enjoy. I Defos feel different but the symptoms aren’t major which worries me! Sounds like you have some symptoms which is good :) I just want them to all hit lol! Not long until your scan at all!!! I wish that was me! Time is going so slowly!
@charlotte0808 I think brown when you wipe can be normal , it’s normally older mucus getting dislodged. If it turns bright red then you should speak to EPU or calll 111. Not long till your scan, best of luck x

Hey @Blondiebrownie6 I did ring epu today just for advice and she said it's ok asking as not red same as you said. I haven't done my last clearblue digital yet going to do it Sunday hopefully will get 3+ before my scan either way I think I'll prepare for whatever outcome then. I've never made it past 5 weeks before 🤞 x

She did mention it could be from implantation but I thought that would be when it actually implants was abit confused x

@charlotte0808 it could just be it burrowing further in so to speak. Generally I think brown mucus/discharge can be common in the early weeks just with everything moving and shifting about but appreciate your worries , especially if you have had losses before. Fingers crossed for your clear blue on Sunday and at least you have the scan date sorted. As hard as it is (and I never take my own advice ) just take it easy and rest where you can. At least you have spoken to EPU so any more worries and they will be there to support xx

@Blondiebrownie6 I'm 6 weeks today too and also don't feel like I have any major symptoms. I found out the weekend before last and felt that last week my symptoms where more pronounced, has a bit of nausea (but no actual sickness), tiredness, sore nipples and constant thirst.

This week I've still got the thirst and tiredness and the sore nipples but not as severe. I have kept testing though 😂 and my test lines are getting darker so hopefully that means all is well.

That’s ok @charlotte0808 I know how unsettling these weeks can be! Constant dread and worry!! Haha that sounds like something I’d do and test before when I say I will lol. It’s going ok so far but I’m not feeling confident , however out of my control and just need to sit tight :/

@GEM711 I hear you! I’m convinced my nipples aren’t as sore this past few days , I keep pinching at them lol . I feel different but not major , then I’m like is it in my head! God I don’t know, driving myself crazy though with constant symptom spotting though. Some women do just Saul through though with hardly anything so I keep trying to think maybe I’m just one of those people!? That’s good your lines are darker ! I have some cheapies left so I think I’m gonna test tomorrow 🤣 x

@Blondiebrownie6 I'm completely with you on the nipples, I went to the loo at work today specifically to squeeze them 😂😂😂

I'm trying not to worry too much & what will be will be - as long as I keep healthy and do the right things I can't change the outcome so trying to tell myself there is no point worrying. Much easier said than done though!

Hahaha @GEM711 the things we do! Although this morning I’m looking at my (normally pretty small) boobs and they’re Defos looking bigger than usual and drilling out my sports bra! The hunger has increased the past few days too, waking up at 3am starving. Only small things but still a change I guess.

Yes I’m with you on that, one minute I’m reasonable with myself and think that then the other hand I’m so wanting this to work! We’re over 2 years TTC, 2 losses and I’m tired! I feel like this journey has taken it’s toll (on top of a crappy pandemic!) but I know I can’t change the outcome and just have to sit tight xx

Had 3+ this morning I'm 5+5 that is right isn't it? I am more relaxed but still so nervous x

Got my BFP on Tuesday ☺️ can’t believe it- now paranoid it was a faulty test, shouldn’t have googled reliability of Sainsbury’s pregnancy tests 🤦🏼‍♀️ Was a very strong line though and I am a week late so pretty sure it’s positive. Had a bit of pinky discharge yesterday so got all stressed but had gone by the afternoon! Think I too am going to have to get an early scan 12 weeks feels too far away! The cramping just makes you so paranoid!

@MrsMay19 I've had cramping too sometimes quite bad makes me feel all hot and sick only lasts about 20 seconds then goes and it's my 3rd day of very light brown discharge I did phone epu and she said it was old blood from implantation which confused me abit. Such a worry isn't it x

@charlotte0808 That’s a relief that she said it’s nothing to worry about though. Really feeling it today. Nausea has hit and boobs are agony!
