Hey I'm only 10dpo but just got a faint positive 2 days ago and has been getting darker so hoping this is real. I calculated and I'm due June 1/2nd.

Anyone else due the same time as me? Want to hang out and keep me company I know it's early days.

I'm about 4 weeks and I have such bad lower back ache. It's not sharp pains it's dull like bad period pains. I'm worrying it's that start of something bad Sad

AlbatrossSociety · 15/10/2021 08:27

@makingamac @HanBro also got married in this summer, came off contraception in August, and also a Hannah Grin.

I have some cramps like once a day, they worried me at the beginning but so many people have said it's normal. My boobs are getting a bit sore now but no other symptoms yet.

My mum is the other way and doesn't want to get excited and doesn't want me to get excited either, which I understand but ultimately whatever happens will happen and I feel like if I worry lots I'll just suffer twice! So trying to enjoy it for now and cross the next bridge when it comes but easier said than done.

@Lozzlepop fingers crossed for you for a sticky one!

rathernotshare · 15/10/2021 08:37

@AlbatrossSociety my husbands saying don't get excited but if the worst happens, I'll be devastated whether I was excited or not. So mayaswell enjoy the moment 🤷‍♀️
Also my mum told me not to tell her until I was at least 12 weeks (she's had a lot of losses). So I haven't, I know her though, she'll be gutted I didn't tell her sooner hahaha

Seabreeze2 · 15/10/2021 08:44

Morning ladies. I’m 5+2 today and the cramping is still very much there. And this morning I feel very nauseous and just want to lay down but have so much prep work to do for a meeting this morning. Is this the sickness slowly creeping in 😞… hope you are all well x

HanBro · 15/10/2021 09:10

@AlbatrossSociety must be a lucky name!! Congratulations Smile

AlbatrossSociety · 15/10/2021 09:26

@HanBro maybe, or just a common one haha!!

Ooh no @Seabreeze2, I hope it's not. I did my legal wedding ceremony over the summer but we have the party later this month when I'll be 7 weeks and I think there's a good chance I'll feel terrible! And also won't be drinking so I think people will guess. Anyone else have any big events in the next few weeks? Any ideas for the best approach!?

JenniferR2021 · 15/10/2021 09:50

I'm maid of Honour at my friends wedding in 5 weeks nobody at it know I'm pregnant also in blackpool on family holiday and my kids keep a asking why im not drinking im boring the excuse of not feeling well isn't going to last long lol

rathernotshare · 15/10/2021 09:58

I was a bridesmaid the day I got my positive, I just drank lemonade in half glasses and no one even noticed

PeeAche · 15/10/2021 10:00

You guys all need to learn the art of "fake drinking"

Nil and tonic
Non-dka and coke

And my personal favourite:

The pi-NO colada

My in laws are going to be quite worried when we finally announce. Last weekend they saw me put away enough "gin" to sink a ship.

HopefulJ2018 · 15/10/2021 10:01

Anyone else totally exhausted but can’t sleep. I’m so hot and restless all night. Had to call in sick to work today just shattered. I’m very anxious too after an early MC, I’m 6+5 today, early scan booked for the 27th, counting down the days x

Ah hello fellow Hannah! How weird is that. I've booked my scan for 7 weeks at a local place. Only 3 and a half weeks to wait Envy

I'm meant to be going for dinner tonight but I can't face explaining why I'm not drinking wine as they will just KNOW! I'm really not one to skip wine at dinner lol

PeeAche · 15/10/2021 10:43

@makingamac have the wine but nurse it. If you get the chance, swap glasses with your SO.

Rachae · 15/10/2021 10:43

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to be due June too and I'm 5.5 weeks pregnant 😊 I've had some losses and no successful one yet, so aiming to stay calm and anxiety-free for this one. Just wanted to ask people about symptoms tho.. As it drives me mad that I never get morning sickness or sore boobs.
Can anyone relate to these though, who are also taking progestrone please?

On and off lower back pain. Pretty intense when it comes and then it just vanishes.

Mild stomach cramping

Bleeding gums

A general dizziness feeling but not enough to call it nauseous.. But something

Boobs small when wake up but grow big across the day and massive at night

Stomach constantly looks 9 month preg. Always full and not bothered about food.

^ What do you think? Will it do for preg symptoms or maybe all just the progestrone im taking? Xx

Does SO mean significant other?! I'll be very pleased with myself if it does :) it's a work thing, so he won't be there! Xx

Imhereforthecake · 15/10/2021 10:49

@Rachae congratulations Thanks
I literally could have written this!!!
I'm about 4 weeks.

DaimDillyDoo · 15/10/2021 10:51

@HopefulJ2018 I'm exactly 6 weeks 5 days too! Smile

AlbatrossSociety · 15/10/2021 11:20

@makingamac yes SO is significant other!

@PeeAche thank you!! The gin thing made me laugh. I'm not a big drinker anyway to be honest so hopefully people just won't notice!

Haven't booked any scans or anything yet, don't even know how to go about it! Still in the process of registering for a gp as we've just moved, but do you just self refer?

Skinnymuffins · 15/10/2021 11:24

@JenniferR2021 I got given Hardys non alcoholic chardonnay the other day and in not normally a white wine drinker (I love red) but it was so nice! Highly recommend!

makingamac · 15/10/2021 11:31

I've got in laws over tomorrow, we're planning on telling them which I know is a bit risky at week 3 but we both have big mouths! Just wondering what the best alcohol free drinks are? Xx

JenniferR2021 · 15/10/2021 11:39

Few pubs we were in didn't even sell none alcoholic drinks I've been on hot chocolate and cola all week my kids are defo onto me keep saying why u not drinking your boring your on holiday n I never went to pleasure beach either defo a diff trip.away than usual, lol

PeeAche · 15/10/2021 11:40

I love having the Bottle Green cordials with sparkling water. I have them in a gin or wine glass so that I can still feel like I'm having something fun and grown up in the evening, when I would normally have a glass of wine!

Not really tried many 0% "wines" because they seem expensive compared with my cordial game.

HWka · 15/10/2021 12:09

Has anyone ever known time to move so slowly?! Cross with myself for testing so early wish I’d just waited and then wouldn’t have weeks of waiting Blush

Skinnymuffins · 15/10/2021 12:15

@HWka we had a scan a week and a half ago because of some spotting and I'm 39 and a really weird period 2 months ago - turns out I was only 5-5.5 weeks so they've booked us in for this Tuesday which will be 7 weeks. I've never known 2 weeks to drag so much in my life 😩 I just want to see a heartbeat and the wait is keeping me up every night

makingamac · 15/10/2021 12:22

Oh gosh! Non alcoholic is such a con anyway if you think about it. Your children are obviously not easily fooled, amazing how intuitive they can be

Agreed, as I said to @JenniferR2021 they're such a con. I've got a house party on Halloween so going to bite the bullet and buy an authentic looking bottle of "gin" so I don't have to have awkward conversations with friends but I think cordial in the wine glass is going to be my go to :)
