Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

Haha @Nats7504 I find it fascinating! Sucks to be O- though! You can give to all but can only receive from fellow O-

I remember when I had C-section with DD we had to wait a bit for the blood bike to go off and get me some in case I needed it. Luckily I wasn’t a proper emergency and also didn’t need it. Made me want to donate though.

Sunshineandgin · 21/09/2021 16:27

Have any of you bitten the bullet and started wearing maternity clothes yet? I'm in my stretchiest jeans but they're really beginning to get uncomfortable even though my bump isn't really that big or noticeable yet!

Found out my blood group is O+ at my scan appointment last week. I never knew first time round 🤷‍♀️

Dyra · 21/09/2021 16:28
**@Dyra* @Hayesdays* I’ve just been reading up on it. I’m a selfish blood type. I can have all your blood but you can’t have mine 🤣
Not quite. AB positive is the universal recipient. AB negative still has to receive Rh negative, but can be A, B, AB or O.

Hayesdays · 21/09/2021 16:35

@Sunshineandgin yes! I’m 12 weeks on Thursday and this week have put on my maternity leggings. I tried my mat jeans too but my lack of proper bump meant they kept slipping down and the waist band seems to put pressure in the wrong place so is really uncomfortable. Just treated myself to some lovely Cadenshae leggings. They’re nice and thick ready for the winter!

Nats7504 · 21/09/2021 17:02

@Dyra Ahh, that will teach me to scan read as it was a little technical for me 🙈

bubblybrit · 21/09/2021 17:04

Congratulations on all the wonderful scans today. I have my dating scan tomorrow so looking forward to having a due date to work towards (I’ve had a provisional date but was told that it could change)

Sunshineandgin · 21/09/2021 17:26

@Hayesdays those leggings sound super comfy! I think leggings is the way forward until I've got a proper bump. Last time I was pregnant I was living in a hot country so feels like a totally different challenge dressing for the cold!

bubblepond · 21/09/2021 18:51

Ah yay so happy the scans went well today!!

@bubblybrit good luck for tomorrow!

For those asking about maternity clothes, I have bought some maternity dungarees. My jeans are really tight and uncomfortable now and I want at least 1 option that isn't leggings. The dungarees at least don't look too "maternity" and don't have a massive baggy bit at the front but I think the idea is they stretch at the side when needed which is good!

Cxjai792 · 21/09/2021 19:03

Congratulations on your scans! And good luck to those having theirs soon!
Got my results back for Down’s syndrome screening today they came today saying I had a low chance which is another worry off the list. Has anyone had theirs back yet?

@Sunshineandgin I’m currently in maternity leggings and work trousers! I’m 12w4days but this is my second pregnancy and I just generally feel bigger!
Just can’t wait to have a proper bump and not just look frumpy

bubblybrit · 21/09/2021 19:54

Thanks @bubblepond. It’s so nice that most of us are entering (or in) the second trimester!

BaaBaaEmily · 21/09/2021 20:59

Great news on all the scans today - have mine tomorrow and really nervous. My last pregnancy was a mmc, so although we saw baby was doing well a few weeks ago I'm still anxious for what tomorrow brings. I do feel like I'm getting the odd little flutter though so that's reassuring me slightly.

I've been in maternity jeans and dungarees for a few weeks now, this is my 4th pregnancy, hopefully 3rd child so the bloating is on another level! Starting to get quite firm now so could be actual bump.

GeorgiaMcGraw · 21/09/2021 21:54

Good luck for tomorrow @bubblybrit and @baabaaemily I hope it goes wonderfully!

bubblybrit · 21/09/2021 22:09

Thank you @GeorgiaMcGraw. I’m always a little nervous before scans but starting to feel more positive given I’ve had a few private scans and a harmony test where everything looked good so 🤞

bubblybrit · 21/09/2021 22:11

Hope your scan goes well @BaaBaaEmily. This is baby number two for me and I’ve had bloat since around 6 weeks but I think it’s now starting to turn into a bump as it’s definitely firmer than previous.

bubblepond · 22/09/2021 05:43

Good luck @BaaBaaEmily for today!

So many scans this week, it's so exciting!
Officially in the second trimester now ☺️

Dyra · 22/09/2021 07:58

Good luck @bubblybrit and @BaaBaaEmily!

bubblybrit · 22/09/2021 08:07

Thank you @Dyra. Mine isn’t until late afternoon so going to be a long day at work!

Catconfusion · 22/09/2021 09:23

Hey Ladies, can I join? Edd is 31st March and I’m 42 years old. It’s my second baby as we also have a 17 month old son.

We had our 12 week scan last week. Had a bit of a scare as the nt was 2.8 but I came out low risk overall with a 1 in 425 chance of ds. Has anyone else had this happen? Anyway trying not to worry. Everything else looks great and we’ve been told we don’t need anymore tests. I’ve had severe nausea and vomiting for the last two months and finally feeling like it’s clearing. Looking forward to chatting. Xx

Nats7504 · 22/09/2021 09:50

Good luck to all the ladies having scans today ❤️

bubblybrit · 22/09/2021 15:42

Had my scan this afternoon and so happy that everything is progressing as expected. Little one was in an awkward position so had to move around a little bit in order for measurements to be taken. Must be stubborn like their mummy! I’ve been given a due date of 31st March.

Hope all other scans went well x

@catconfusion hello and welcome! Glad your results were low risk in the end. I've not got to the dating scan yet, got a couple of weeks to go. I'm 11+3 now. Had one prior pregnancy which was a mmc, found out at the dating scan, sadly. I've had a private scan at 8 and then 10 weeks which both went fine, so I'm also trying not to feel too nervous (easier said than done, isn't it?)
Catconfusion · 22/09/2021 17:16

Congratulations @bubblybrit we’re due date buddies! What a lovely scan picture ❤️
