Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

@GeorgiaMcGraw I’m so sorry to hear about your mmc. It must have been such a shock, especially after such positive scans. Pregnancy is so nerve wracking after something like that. I had a mmc at a similar time. I’d not had any previous scans but at 10 weeks I had some very slight spotting. The midwife wouldn’t even refer for a scan. At a private scan the mmc was diagnosed. I was 12 weeks when we had the ERPC. All very traumatic. I do feel for you being at that similar stage. It is however a different pregnancy and your chances of something so horrible happening again are slim. I’ll keep everything crossed for you. I went on to have my son after my mmc so it can be so different the next time. I’ve had three early losses before this pregnancy so I’ve been a bit worried too. Luckily it’s all looking ok. Xx

Catconfusion · 22/09/2021 17:24

@MotherOfShihTzus congratulations on your pregnancy and wedding. So much to celebrate. I hope the dress fits ok or you find a suitable replacement. Xx

bubblybrit · 22/09/2021 19:59

Thank you @Hayesdays and @GeorgiaMcGraw. Can’t believe it’s the last time I’ll see the little one until the 20 week scan!

@Catconfusion. Thank you and welcome! So pleased that everything looked good at your scan. I had terrible nauseous in the beginning but starting to feel more human now....just wish the tiredness would shift for a bit. I’m working full time as well as having a 2.5 year old DD...it’s blooming hard work! X

bubblybrit · 22/09/2021 20:08

@MotherOfShihTzus. Congratulations on both your pregnancy and your wedding. Lots of exciting things happening for you at the minute 😀! I’m sure your dress can be tweaked if you need a little extra room. I’m 12+6 with my second baby and have a noticeably bigger bump than I had with my first at this stage.

Catconfusion · 23/09/2021 08:39

@bubblybrit it must be so hard working and having a 2.5 year old. I’m not working and have an 18 month old and it’s tough enough. The tiredness is something else. Sleep just doesn’t do much. Xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 23/09/2021 09:42

@catconfusion, so sorry for your losses, really glad you've had your son and that this pregnancy is going well too. I think I phrased ny message oddly, I only had the 12 week scan on my 1st pg which was an mmc (baby got to 7 weeks or so). This time I've gone private and had the 8 and 10 week scans which went well, so that's good so far. Two weeks to go until my dating scan though, and time is dragging!

Catconfusion · 23/09/2021 10:28

@GeorgiaMcGraw oh I see. It does sound really similar to our first pregnancy. Our baby had got to 6 weeks. Yes I think if all well at the 8-10 week mark it’s likely ok. The odds dramatically drop. I can imagine it’s really dragging. It’s so hard after a mmc. We were lucky to get an EPAU referral so we’ve had a scan every two weeks. The reason was because of our three early losses. Though with my son we had the same referral as we’d had a mmc. It’s a shame you had to go private but it’s good you got some reassurance from those scans. It sounds like your odds are great this time. Xx

BaaBaaEmily · 23/09/2021 11:14

Sorry I didn't update yesterday but work was mega busy - scan went well, baby had a heartbeat and looked good! I was extremely nervous going in and the sonographer was the same one who diagnosed our mmc but she was lovely and understanding. Congratulations on the others who had scans too.

els96 · 23/09/2021 12:50

bubblybrit · 23/09/2021 13:02

@Catconfusion. Exactly. DH tells me to go to bed earlier but extra sleep doesn’t cut it. I’ve no energy even after a 9 hour sleep. Use all my extra energy on my DD so really struggling with work. I’ve got a stressful job as well which doesn’t help matters!

bubblybrit · 23/09/2021 13:05

That’s brilliant that your scan went well @BaaBaaEmily. You must have been so relieved.

A few of us have an EDD of 31st March @els96. Lovely scan photo ❤️

Thank you so much. So exciting. Hope all is well with your pregnancy! Is anyone else suffering from dizziness? New one for me since last week! Xx
Dyra · 23/09/2021 14:23

Once we've all got our dating scans out of the way, we should do the usual thing on these boards and make a list of who is due when. And eventually, if we're team red, blue or yellow. Grin

Congratulations on your scans @bubblybrit, @BaaBaaEmily and @els96!

Teddosmum · 23/09/2021 15:43

11+3 sickness has stopped. Defo no glow yet. Bump has started. Still not feeling excited about pregnancy is this normal? I have a teenager and remember being excited at this point back then

Scoaf · 24/09/2021 07:28

Congratulations on all the lovely scans.
Good Luck to anyone getting scans today 🥰
Just wondering, we had our acan Tuesday morning and we chose to have the extra screening. The NT was 1.8mm, they said i would hear within 3 days if my bloods came back as high and would get a letter within 3 weeks if not 😏
Do you think i should have heard by the end of today of if my results have come back High? And if i havent heard just assume theyre low? X

Catconfusion · 24/09/2021 07:40

@Scoaf that’s a great nt. Ours was 2.8mm which is higher end of normal. We still came out low risk despite being 42 as my bloods were great. Our consultant thought we’d be high risk so we had a horrible three days worrying. My scan was on the Tuesday afternoon. I was told we’d hear by Friday afternoon. Luckily we didn’t get the call. The letter with a breakdown of the results came really quickly on the Saturday. We were so relieved. I’d say if you don’t hear anything today it’ll be low risk. Fingers crossed for you. Xx

Dyra · 24/09/2021 07:59

@Scoaf As @Catconfusion says, 1.8mm is an excellent NT! I'm also waiting to hear back, but tbh with an NT of 2.0mm and everything else from the scan looking fine, I'm not expecting to hear anything until the letter arrives.

Scoaf · 24/09/2021 08:52

@Catconfusion
Thanks for your message.
The midwife i saw after our scan was nice but i felt like she was rushing us out so dindt give us much information, i asked if i would be classed as high risk at 35 but she said not.
Glad your results came back low.
Fingers crossed my phone doesnt ring today. X

Scoaf · 24/09/2021 08:53

@Dyra
Thankyou 😊 youve made me feel a bit more relaxed.
I was just a bit worried with being 35.

Dyra · 24/09/2021 09:28

I'm 35 as well. There's a bit more risk added, but it won't automatically make us high risk. I'm over 72 hours out from my scan now, so assuming all is well! 🥳

Nats7504 · 24/09/2021 09:50

I had my scan last Thursday and was told I’d hear back within a week if I was high risk. I’ve not heard anything and I’ll be honest I’ve been shitting myself every time my phone has rung! 🙈 I’m 37 and just assumed I’d be classed as high!

Catconfusion · 24/09/2021 10:03

@Scoaf I very much doubt your age would push your risk up at 35. I came back low risk at 40 with my son and now with this baby at 42 with a higher end of normal nt. I think the bloods have a big influence on your results so it’s very difficult to know until they come back. Try not to worry. I know it’s tough and I myself nearly had a nervous breakdown last week while waiting. I think the obstetric clinic can feel a bit like a conveyer belt which doesn’t help when you need reassurance. Hopefully you won’t get a call today. Xx

Catconfusion · 24/09/2021 10:10

For anyone 35 plus try not to worry. Unless something is showing in your bloods you won’t get high risk just because of your age. If you’ve had previous children younger you’ll find the chance getting higher I.e. 1 in 2000 when they might have been something like 1 in 10000 with an earlier pregnancy. Still low risk results. I got 1 in 1500 with my son at 40 and 1 in 425 with my current pregnancy at 42 and that was only higher because the baby’s nt is bigger this time. Even if you do get the call there’s lots of reasons why the bloods can be off. I know so many people who’ve been told high risk and it was all fine. It’s such an anxious time so thinking of those of you waiting for results. If the scan looked good your chances are great. Xx

Scoaf · 24/09/2021 10:27

@Dyra
