Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

@Countingchicks thanks :)

Nervyy · 17/09/2021 18:04

Lovely to read and see all the good news on the thread today and the new people joining 🥰 congratulations to everyone!! Xx

Nervyy · 17/09/2021 18:31

@Countingchicks I'm not sure that's the right group for me as I'm due April and everyone else seems to be further along and due in March 🙈🙈

Is there any April groups does anyone know?? Xx

charley39 · 17/09/2021 21:25

@bubblepond ive been on cyclizine for nearly 4 weeks now, it took a good 10 days for me to finally feel better. It stopped most of the vomiting but the nausea was still there. I then had one good week and now back to bad nausea againConfused hoping it eases again soon!

Hope you find the cyclizine helps’!

Just wondering if anyone gets pressure in their lower tummy in the evening? Its a very strange feeling.

Sunshineandgin · 18/09/2021 23:24

I had my scan on Thursday, all fine thank goodness. Dated me exactly 12 weeks so due date hasn't changed, still end of March. Couldn't do the anomaly checks as baby was at the wrong angle and wouldn't turn around, was jumping about and doing flips though which was great to see!

Got an appointment with consultant in a few weeks to discuss whether I want to try vbac and I have no idea, don't feel like I trust myself to make the right decision so hoping they'll give me good info to decide either way.

Sunshineandgin · 18/09/2021 23:25

@Scoaf I get a feeling a bit like that sometimes, always feel much more bloated in the evenings too so I guess it's connected.

Carolinesyear · 19/09/2021 10:54

@Nervyy I'm not due until early April too so stick with the group, once we all get our 12 weeks scans we will be on a very similar course and the gap will seem smaller. I get my scan a week tomorrow

@Bluebell88 Hi there . I had 2 anterior placentas on both my children . Waiting to see about this one ! I felt movements at normal time 17 ish weeks . Only issue I had was multiple episodes of reduced movements in the third trimester , I just went to the hospital each time for monitoring and all was fine . On my first they did recommend an induction at 37w as I had been so many times even though baby was fine . My advice would be just watch out for movements . If you haven’t felt baby in a while have a cold icy drink of water of fizzy drink and lie on left side . That usually did the trick . Your midwife will talk you through how to monitor movements anyway .

Bluebell88 · 19/09/2021 13:06

@SaraKitty thank you for the advice! I’m a worrier at the best of times!
Hope all is going well with this pregnancy for you Smile

Afternoon everyone! What a rubbish day 🌧

I’m so uncomfortable, my bump has started to appear, albeit I just look fat! But it’s hard and feels tender. I’m struggling to eat as when I do it makes it worse. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Plus for some reason my sickness has come back again. Im so ready for the ‘blooming’ stage as right about now I look and feel like shit 💩

Kipkay35 · 19/09/2021 18:01

I'm 14 weeks and we told our family a couple of weeks ago. DHs nan spent a weekend with us when I was 6 weeks and she said 'I knew it, when I saw you you had a much bigger tummy' 😂 cheers for that.

How is everyone doing?

Scoaf · 20/09/2021 09:30

Good Luck to everyone having their scans today.
Im soooo nervous for mine tomorrow.
Stupidly took today off work and its all i can think about 🤦‍♀️

charley39 · 20/09/2021 09:46

@Scoaf good luck! Hope everything goes well!

bubblepond · 20/09/2021 10:40

Good luck for scans everyone!

Cyclizine hasn't helped loads with the nausea but I haven't vomited in over 48 hours which is good! How is everyone else feeling?

charley39 · 20/09/2021 17:51

@bubblepond at least it’s helped with the vomiting! This is all it’s helped with for me aswell still have nausea just not as bad as without a tablet.

I'm glad it's semi helped for you too!!

Does anyone else work night shifts? I'm about to start my first set of nights tonight since getting pregnant, not sure how my body is going to cope! 🙈

charley39 · 20/09/2021 18:44

@bubblepond I did nights in my first pregnancy but had to be taken off of them as I used to suffer with the nausea a lot worse. Luckily my work were flexible about it.

Ah I'm glad they were flexible! I'm going to see how it goes this week. I feel nauseous on nights at the best of times so can't see it going too well but trying to be positive!

Dyra · 20/09/2021 19:55

Can't help too much as I only did nights towards the end of my first pregnancy. They weren't too bad though. Not much more tiring than a regular day shift. Hope your nights are uneventful and peaceful ones @bubblepond.

bubblepond · 20/09/2021 20:13

Thanks so much @Dyra !

I've vomited before setting off so not a great start 😂 but vomiting makes me feel better so we shall see!

Hayesdays · 20/09/2021 20:31

Oh ladies I really feel for you struggling with vomiting. I’ve only had mild nausea on and off, really can’t complain but it’s still made me feel rubbish. You’re super women, going into work at all never mind a blinking night shift! I take my hat off to you all ❤️ You’re amazing

Dyra · 21/09/2021 06:09

Today's the day! Already bricking it, but at least there's not too long a wait. Just 2 hours to go... What time is your scan @Scoaf? Best of luck to you and to anyone else having a scan today.

Dyra · 21/09/2021 06:11

Stupid finger! Hope your night shift went well, and you felt ok for the rest of the night @bubblepond. How many more to do?
