Due March / April 2022 2nd thread 2nd trimester

Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

Oh no *@Gotu*! Have you had it confirmed on PCR? I have managed to avoid it but my friend (who had only had 1st vaccine dose at the time) was quite unwell and needed to be admitted to hospital for a few days and then felt poorly for weeks afterwards. Have you had both your jabs? The important thing to do is watch out for chest pains and shortness of breath, your midwife or GP may well give you a home oxygen monitor if you are unvaccinated but you'll likely be OK if you've had 2 jabs.

I have only had one vaccine at the moment. Right now it's really just like a bad cold so I'm hoping that's as bad as it gets. Called midwife for advice and they said just carry on as I am. I could just sleep all day soo tired but can still eat and up and about so hopefully il not get any worse 🤞

Anyone else awake?
I’ve woken up feeling awful. Just had to be sick. Breathing is really laboured for some reason and very gassy with everytime I swallow. Just taken a gaviscon to see if this helps. Throat is sore. Did a lateral flow before bed which was negative. Son has had a snotty nose so wonder if it’s passed onto me in the form of this but I feel awful. And of course it’s when my DH is on night shifts!

But please if you are feeling unwell then it's a PCR swab you need, lateral flows aren't accurate enough.

@SouthwestSis was sick again at 5am but that had blood in it so going to call GP this morning. Figure they’ll probably want a PCR test done

Aww that sounds awful @charley39. Your throat must be so sore if it's bleeding. Definitely get yourself a PCR. If it helps, I've had a sore throat, cough and snotty nose for the past few days, which is just a cold. I won't say I hope it's what you've got, as it's rotten, but there's definitely something else going around that isn't Covid.

Morning ladies. I'm struggling to put my shoes on, I mean... shoelaces... how?? Is it Crocs from now on until birth for us all?? 😂

@Dyra just going to see GP now. Getting worried as I can’t keep any fluids down atm! So hopefully can figure it out x

Currently sat in MAU waiting to see a doctor.
They found a UTI at the GP which i have no symptoms for, I’m still convinced I have a throat infection but hoping the antibiotics will clear both x

Most throat infections are viral @charley39 so antibiotics won't necessarily help but gld you've got treatment for your UTI and have managed to get seen.

@SouthwestSis thank you. Home now, just got my DS to bed so time to rest!
Nearly got kept in for severe dehydration but they let me go providing I continue to keep some water down. It’s been a long day!

Had to get referred to Evelina hospital in London after a bad scan last Thursday. Only got seen yesterday so DH and I had a terrible weekend. Fetal cardiac unit at Evelina say it's not as bad as we were told but want me to have more scans this Thursday to check other structures and have a TORCH blood test.

@Countingchicks I'm so sorry your scan has shown issues with baby. Must have been a huge shock and an even bigger worry. Sending big, squishy internet hugs to you and your DH. Evelina looks like a phenomenal hospital, and I'm sure you and your little girl will get the best of care there.

@charley39 I hope your UTI and throat infection clears up quickly. And DS is on is best toddler behaviour for you. Rest, relax, eat and drink as much as you can.

@Dyra thank you, DS had his imms yesterday so it was a long day for everyone! Hoping today is better, managed to sleep through the night so progress!

I'm sorry you've had some bad news - hope the rest of the tests are more reassuring ❤️

Thanks all. Brought more questions than answers! Leg bone not growing much so could be a sign of downs, dwarfism, or something else so back in for a scan in 4 weeks. I refused the amniocentesis
