Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

@68degreesnorth its great you have a referral. I would just check it includes the growth scans from 28 weeks as women over 40 have some increased risks. It’s important baby’s health and wellbeing is monitored. Xx

It’s amazing you’re pregnant after all this time. Definitely enjoy every moment of it. Xx

68degreesnorth · 19/11/2021 14:51

@Catconfusion will check that - thanks for the info! 🙏 xx

Has anyone under 40 manged to book a covid booster jab? Am worried about my first 2 jabs wearing off just as we go into the depths of winter and into my first trimester when covud risk is highest?
I don't know whether pregnancy alone is enough for them to deem us "at risk", I think it should be!

bubblepond · 20/11/2021 08:23

Love all the 20 week scan photos!
We had ours yesterday and all is looking good! Kept the sex a surprise still :)
On the other hand I'm 21 weeks today and still vomiting 🤮

Catconfusion · 20/11/2021 08:23

@SouthwestSis I think you should be able to book it 5 months after your last jab. If you log into the nhs booking system it should offer you appointments if that time is up. I am over 40 but that doesn’t put me in a vulnerable group. All the tests and emails have said I’m vulnerable so I think it’s because I’m pregnant. It might be worth checking with your hospital antenatal clinic. Ours are doing boosters for those eligible.

I’m getting a bit scared of having mine. I know it’s safe and I’m probably be fine but I’m so sensitive to vaccines. I had an awful reaction to the normal flu jab. Doesn’t help that someone I know went into anaphylactic shock after her booster. She’s ok but nearly died. It’s a ridiculously rare reaction so highly unlikely to happen but I feel more anxious about everything while pregnant. I might wait until I reach 24 weeks and the baby is viable. Only two and a half weeks away.

bubblybrit · 20/11/2021 13:34

@bubblepond. So glad that your scan went well. I’m sorry that you are still being sick though. Must be really frustrating at 21 weeks. Hope it stops soon.

bubblepond · 20/11/2021 16:08

@bubblybrit thank you - yours too!

Mostly I'm fine but still a couple of times a week I vomit. Thankfully it's not every day any more! I have a huge respect for people with HG.

Dyra · 22/11/2021 11:26

Since I imagine most of us have had a 20 week scan, shall I start a list and see who we are, when we're expecting, and what we're having (❤️ girl, 💙 boy, 💛 unknown)?

So.

Gotu · 22/11/2021 13:03

Looks like I have ended up with the dreaded corona 🙈😷
Done a lateral flow test yesterday after feeling awful Friday and Saturday that I had put down to the flu jag 🙈

Has anyone else had it while pregnant and how where you, how was baby?

SouthwestSis · 22/11/2021 13:25

Oh no @Gotu!
Have you had it confirmed on PCR?
I have managed to avoid it but my friend (who had only had 1st vaccine dose at the time) was quite unwell and needed to be admitted to hospital for a few days and then felt poorly for weeks afterwards.
Have you had both your jabs?
The important thing to do is watch out for chest pains and shortness of breath, your midwife or GP may well give you a home oxygen monitor if you are unvaccinated but you'll likely be OK if you've had 2 jabs.

bubblybrit · 22/11/2021 14:29

@Dyra. That’s a lovely idea.
