Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

Thanks Everyone. Ive sent my midwife i quick text.
The pregnancy is turning me into a crazy woman. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Catconfusion · 11/11/2021 10:43

@Scoaf I’m so sorry you had this bad experience. I’d definitely try and get a rescan for your peace of mind. I’m sure it’ll be fine as her job on the line so I doubt she’d risk it. I do however know of someone who had something critical picked up at 35 weeks when it should have been picked up at 20 weeks. The sonographer had taken a phone call from a colleague in the middle of the scan so she’s convinced that’s why it wasn’t picked up. Obviously this is highly unlikely and bad luck but certainly work double checking. Xx

bubblybrit · 11/11/2021 16:28

Hope everyone is well. Congrats on all the 20 week/gender scans. Mine isn’t until the 17th but I’ll almost be 21 weeks by then. The nerves are starting to kick in now!

Is anyone else with a toddler starting to really struggle? I’m exhausted all the time and running around after my 2.5 year old is becoming quite a challenge! I’m now panicking how I’ll cope with a newborn and a toddler 😢 x

charley39 · 11/11/2021 19:30

@bubblybrit
Yes to the toddler! I’m so exhausted all of the time. I actually look forward to work to have a sit down!
They have also decided to start being extremely awkward refusing to eat dinner, refusing to go to bed. Needing constant attention and someone to play with all day.

Catconfusion · 11/11/2021 19:48

@bubblybrit omg I’m exhausted too. When DH gets home from work I’m heading straight to bed. Also wondering how I’ll cope with two so young. My ds turns 2 just after baby will get here.

You must have a similar due date to me. I’m 20 weeks today and my scan is on Tuesday. Definitely feeling nervous. Just think, this time next week we’ll have all that extra reassurance and will be 21 weeks, not far off viability. Xx

bubblybrit · 11/11/2021 19:59

@charley39. Oh that sounds tough. My DD usually only wants a snack after nursery as eats so well during the day. Bed time can be a little hit and miss but she’s usually sleeping by 730. She always wants mummy to do everything though so feeling the strain with being pregnant, working full time in a fairly stressful job and being the go to parent 😬

@Catconfusion. My due date is 31st March 😀! Can’t wait until the scan takes place and we hopefully get the reassurance that we desperately want. My DD will turn 3 in Feb so a little ahead of your DS. However, I’m sure they are both just as energetic xx

Catconfusion · 11/11/2021 20:03

@bubblybrit snap, 31st March here too but likely will be an elective at 39 weeks. I can imagine she is as energetic. We’re having a girl this time and I’m wondering if ds is the calm before the storm 😂. Xx

bubblybrit · 11/11/2021 21:12

@Catconfusion. Little girls are amazing so I’m sure she will be a lovely addition to your family 💓 I’m having another baby girl although really didn’t mind either way after a MMC in Dec. I had a super fast labour with DD so I am a bit worried given that subsequent labours are supposed to be quicker 😬 xx

Dyra · 11/11/2021 23:01

@bubblybrit Mine's tomorrow morning, and I'll be 20+5 so somewhat late as well. Keeping everything crossed that it doesn't mean there's going to be a baby boom in March.

And good lord same regarding the toddler. My LO only turned 2 in September so still a young toddler. She's (thankfully) so chill, but I just don't have the energy to do much more than one outside activity per day. When we're at home, there's far too much screen time.

Scoaf · 12/11/2021 06:56

@Dyra Good Luck with ypur scan today and anyone else having theirs.
My midwife got in touch and completely understood ny concerns. But she aas happy that all my notes had all the measurements and info needed so feeling alot better about it all now 🤗
Now i need to start buying 😬
Anybody got any tips on how much of each size i should get? We dont know what we are having and there doesn't seem to be alot of neutral colours around X

Dyra · 12/11/2021 07:35

Thanks. So excited. Been up since 5. 😴

I found a good rule of thumb was to get at 10-15 or so vests and baby grows (I don't do outfits for

bubblybrit · 12/11/2021 07:56

@Dyra. Good luck with your scan today. I’m sorry for anyone that’s struggling with their toddler but I’m glad I’m not the only one! My DD goes to nursery but she’s still a whirlwind before and after 😀 planning to do an activity with her on Saturday (which requires some travel) so hoping it knackers her out for when we come home 😂

Caass45 · 12/11/2021 08:16

@Scoaf glad your mind is at ease now. 😊
I pribabaly have far too many clothes already and yesterday we found out we're having a little girl and my sister has saved all her baby clothes from her daughter so I might need to build an extension to house them all 😅

Scoaf · 12/11/2021 08:40

@Dyra
What time is your scan?
Great advise on the clothes. Thankyou 🤗

Scoaf · 12/11/2021 08:42

@caass45
Thankyou.
Ah congratulations... you can buy even more now 🤣 its lovely that your sister has kept alot for you. You still want to buy your own though dont you.
Nearly all my friends have had babies so are all offering me clothes so think i may need an extension like you 🤣

Dyra · 12/11/2021 09:09

@Scoaf Just re-read my post. I meant to say Newborn size (or 0-1 month or First Size in some places) you only want 5-10 of. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It's iffy because they might literally only be in them for a week, if at all! I wouldn't buy Tiny Baby at all unless a growth scan suggests otherwise. Hopefully you'll have a good idea of what size baby to expect from your fundal growth measurements so can buy more closer to the time. Scan is at 11. Thank goodness this morning is flying by! Also glad your MW put your mind at ease regarding your scan.

I have a feeling a good few of my Christmas presents are going to be clothes and stuff for this baby. Might not even have to venture into the loft to get my old stuff down from what my mum is hinting at.

Dyra · 12/11/2021 12:28

All a bit of a let down in the end. Sad

First of all, DH was late and then was upset I went in without him. sigh Baby was fine from what the sonographer could see, but as baby was being a complete and utter little shit highly uncooperative (even more so than their big sister was at her scans ...), I've got to go back in 7-10 days. But they can't slot me in at the moment as it's all fully booked. I know lip, heart and bladder checks are missing, but I think more than a few of the others were too. Haven't had a chance to look at the notes to know exactly what. On the plus side, my uterine artery measurements came back just fine this time, but on the negative, no growth scans. And finally, I only got the one photo of their little feeties because none of the others were any good.

Least I was right about my placenta being anterior.

Nats7504 · 12/11/2021 12:46

@Dyra Sorry your scan didn't go to plan. These babies are a pain! I have to go back next week to double check his heart as he was in an awkward position (transverse and inside down!) They’ve tagged it onto my Uterine Artery scan. I’ve never had one, are they quite quick?

Scoaf · 12/11/2021 13:01

@Dyra
Ah sorry it didnt go to plan. These babas are being a bit of a pain arent they. Fingers crossed they can squeeze u in and get everything they need next week.

Dyra · 15/11/2021 08:28

Good luck for today @Caass45!

Scoaf · 15/11/2021 09:18

Just a heads up ladies.. Mamas and Papas black friday sale has started today 🙃

Caass45 · 15/11/2021 12:52

@Dyra thanks! Baby wasn't playing ball. She literally was upside down and had her back to us and was not for shifting 🤣 so we got brain, kidneys, bladder, stomach checks but back in 2 weeks for heart and chord checks.

@Scoaf thanks for the heads up 😁

Dyra · 15/11/2021 16:43

@Caass45 They're very naughty these young'uns! Everything crossed baby is much more co-operative in two weeks.

Ta for the info Scoaf

Pac35 · 15/11/2021 18:59

I had my scan today and I'm in love ❤️

Due March / April 2022 2nd thread 2nd trimester
bubblybrit · 15/11/2021 19:31

So glad that your scan went well @Pac35. Lovely little photo!

@Caass45. A number of the little ones are trouble already going by these scans 😂! I’ve got my anomaly scan on the 17th so will see what happens then.
