Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

That's one comfy, bendy baby! Glad it all went well and the sonographer got everything they needed in one. How long was the scan ooi?

So exciting lots more scans to see!

Derbee · 05/11/2021 21:51

It all took about 30 mins

68degreesnorth · 06/11/2021 16:42

My little girl today.

300 grams and all looks normal!

I cried during the scan. So overwhelmed seeing her...

💕💕💕

Ah, @68degreesnorth she’s lovely! It’s amazing seeing them, isn’t it?

68degreesnorth · 06/11/2021 18:10

@Derbee yes, too emotional for me, especially having reached 44 believing for all those years that I couldn't have children, and then trying to accept that my time was up. Then suddenly I'm pregnant... 😭

bubblybrit · 06/11/2021 19:45

What a lovely scan photo @68degreesnorth. So pleased that everything looks good with your baby girl 💓 x

Caass45 · 06/11/2021 21:00

New to this thread. Due march 29th with my first little one (which also happens to be my birthday 🎂)
Due my 20 week scan on the 15th (will be 20+6 by then) hoping to find out what we are having. Feeling all sorts of wiggles now which is exciting!

68degreesnorth · 06/11/2021 21:41

@Caass45 oooh how exciting, I'm due on the 29th too ! I've already been told twice it's a girl - it's so exciting - good luck with your scan 💕

Caass45 · 06/11/2021 21:48

@68degreesnorth oh yay due date buddies 😁 aw Congrats on your little girl! I have a feeling we are having a girl but I may be surprised yet.

Dyra · 06/11/2021 22:28

Awww. Lovely scan photo of your little girl @68degreesnorth. Will you get to see her again between now and when she arrives?

Welcome @Caass45! What a lovely (potential!) birthday present for you. Best of luck for the scan. Hopefully the days between now and then go by quickly for you!

68degreesnorth · 07/11/2021 09:10

@Dyra I don't know if the NHS will give me another scan (?) but if not I'm definitely getting a couple more privately 💕

68degreesnorth · 07/11/2021 09:13

@Caass45 I felt very strongly that it was a girl from the day I found out I was pregnant, so I think your gut instinct will probably be correct! 💕

Caass45 · 07/11/2021 09:18

@Dyra it could be a lovely birthday present and an expensive day for dad 😅

@68degreesnorth oh really? My sister was the same so it might be! Hoping the hospital do tell us they have on the letters its their policy not to say but I know people who have been told by them in the last year so 🤞

68degreesnorth · 07/11/2021 10:01

@Caass45 yes, friends asked me if it was wishful thinking perhaps, but no I've always wanted a boy so definitely not that. I just felt it was a girl right away, it's hard to explain. And I'm thrilled it's a girl 💕 (just saying in case anyone's thinking I'm disappointed!)

Catconfusion · 07/11/2021 10:51

Hey everyone, so lovely to see the gender updates.

I had my flu jab yesterday and was really ill in the night. I had a fever and muscle aches. Now just feeling a bit off colour. Has anyone else had a strong reaction to it? It’s so odd because I was fine when I had it when pregnant with my son. I know it’s safe and I shouldn’t worry but I hate being ill while pregnant. Xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 07/11/2021 22:49

How exciting to see all the boy/girl updates, seems like only yesterday we were all freaking out about the 12 week scans! @catconfusion I felt fine after flu and covid jabs, but I think everyone is different each time. Maybe you were a bit run down this time? Try not to worry too much, I know it's hard being ill while pregnant. I've had a naff cold/cough for a week now, really stubborn. Not much you can do but have fluid, rest, take paracetamol if needed. Hope you feel better soon x

Catconfusion · 08/11/2021 11:38

Thanks @GeorgiaMcGraw no I didn’t feel run down at all before the jab. In fact felt really good. It was definitely the jab that made me really ill overnight like I had flu. I know it’s not a live vaccine and just my immune response but it was quite frightening being that ill. I couldn’t get up and was violently shivering. Luckily it passed and I feel better today. I was ill for 3 days after my Covid jab so I must just have a very strong immune response to vaccines. It wouldn’t put me off having them but I wouldn’t have them at the same time. Next time I might preemptively take paracetamol before. I might chat to the doctor about it before my Covid booster. Xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/11/2021 11:45

@catconfusion oh dear, that sounds rough, but like you say, you must just have a very strong response (I'm sure I've heard that's a good sign). Thinking back, I did take paracetamol after my covid jab before I went to bed, which I think helped. I had just felt a bit more tired and woozy than usual (although I had bad fatigue anyway at the time). Slept like a baby and took one more dose the next day to be sure, so might well help you next time too.

charley39 · 08/11/2021 18:19

20 week scan today, all looking good just an extremely active baby!!

All getting very real now, hope everyone is doing okay xx

Scoaf · 08/11/2021 19:44

So lovely to hear everyone's scans are going well. Ive got my 20week scan on Wednesday and off course the usual pre-scan nerves are setting in. 🤯
Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Caass45 · 08/11/2021 19:57

@Scoaf good luck for your scan. I know what you mean about nerves I'm 20 weeks tomorrow but my scan is a week today. So easy to worry about it. I feel like I've gone from nervous till my 12 week scan then excited until 16 then nerves again approaching my next scan 😅

charley39 · 08/11/2021 20:03

@Scoaf @Caass45 good luck to you both. Hoping everything looks good xx
