Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

@68degreesnorth they didn't know I had it before birth so my son was born with it. He was on antibiotics for 7 days. This time they said baby will be monitored for 24hrs after birth xx

68degreesnorth · 29/10/2021 16:03

@Cheekymonkey3112 oh gosh he's very lucky not to get very ill from it then! Hope all goes well this time too 🤎

Cheekymonkey3112 · 29/10/2021 21:45

@68degreesnorth I was induced with 3 other women and all 4 babies were born with strep B so I'm convinced I got it in the hospital. We are lucky he was ok but trying not to panic too much this time as I know I can get the preventative antibiotics ❤

Scoaf · 30/10/2021 09:50

How is everyone feeling?
I have woken up with backache, tummyache and achy thighs. Kind of like period pains. Would anyone be worried? I know you can get alot of stretching and pain at this point... im 18+5 but when do you start to worry? X

Derbee · 30/10/2021 10:33

@Scoaf I think so many strange aches and pains are normal. But maybe worth calling if you’re concerned, as all the midwives always say they’d rather hear from you, even if it’s just to tell you not to worry.

Aquarius25 · 30/10/2021 15:56

Hello all I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and due on the 2nd of april.
I am new to mumsnet but felt like I needed people to talk to and this is also my first pregnancy.
I havent enjoyed it so far for the first 4 weeks every thing was fine then by week 5 all the way to now I've had HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) I've been in and out of hospital with it and on different types of anti sickness that never worked until about week 15 I started on Ondansetron 4mg they really completely stopped the sickness but I now suffer with constipation and gass I cant pass. I've tried different things wich dont help.
I'm currently taking movicol to try ease the constipation.
I've tried everything prunes fruit vedge fibre supplements everything nothing works... even upped my water intake still struggling.
then to top it off I have a bladder infection wich I'm on antibiotics for.
I just feel so rubbish and depressed this pregnancy is not what I thought it would be at all, anybody else suffering?
xxx

Aquarius25 · 30/10/2021 16:00

also I tried to stop taking the anti sickness to see if the sickness period had passed... boy I was so wrong I vomited like 12 times. I have come to realise I'll probably be taking the anti sickness through my entire pregnancy... it's just rubbish tbh :(

Cheekymonkey3112 · 30/10/2021 20:11

@aquarius25 ahhh that sounds rubbish Mrs, sending you a big hug. I suffer from.constipation so feel your pain. Try changing the constipation medication (some are better than others and there's different types of laxatives too)

I take dulcolax outwith pregnancy and although the doctor said its safe in pregnancy I only take it if I need to. I've been using fybogel and it helps slightly too.

I'm.due the 31st of March so around the same time as you ❤

68degreesnorth · 30/10/2021 21:01

@Aquarius25 sorry to hear about your rubbish experience. I was very, very constipated and tried all sorts but the only thing that helped me in the end was prune juice! So much so that as soon as it started working I lost 1.2kgs! 😆 Hope you find something that works for you.

68degreesnorth · 30/10/2021 21:04

@Aquarius25 but you do need to up your water intake massively though as well. Just drink drink and drink tons of water. And prune juice.

Hayesdays · 30/10/2021 21:58

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering. I hope you’re all feeling better soon.

We went for our gender scan today, we’ve got another little girl on the way! It was lovely to have my suspicions confirmed…I’m glad I don’t have to eat my hat 😂 And we got to hear her heartbeat beating away, it was amazing!

Cheekymonkey3112 · 30/10/2021 23:00

Ahh congratulations @Hayesdays 💗💗 how exciting. How old is your DD? Xxx

Hayesdays · 31/10/2021 08:14

@Cheekymonkey3112 she’s almost exactly 2! So I’m hoping they will be best friends! Wishful thinking I bet haha!

She knows there’s a baby in mummy’s tummy and asks everyone she meets if there’s a baby in their tummy too 😂

Dyra · 31/10/2021 09:05

Awwww. Congratulations on your little girl @Hayesdays!

Cheekymonkey3112 · 31/10/2021 12:19

@hayesdays omg that is sooo cute but I can imagine it can be slightly embarrassing for you haha! My DS is nearly 4 and is so cute about it saying he will share all his food and toys with the baby but I think in reality he'll be very different 🤣🤣🤣

Carolinesyear · 31/10/2021 17:43

Wow so many girls! Guess what my gender scan revealed on Thursday... another girl!

theconfused · 31/10/2021 18:10

Oooohhh!

So excited for you all! It definitely seems like year of the girls is coming up!

I have my scan in 2 weeks and I can't wait, really hoping to have a girl too💕💕

Hayesdays · 31/10/2021 18:25

So many girls! When my first daughter was born it felt like I was the only mum of a girl. Other way round this time! Congratulations @Carolinesyear

Good luck @theconfused will that be at your 20 week scan?

68degreesnorth · 31/10/2021 18:46

Yep - girl here too!

Catconfusion · 01/11/2021 10:20

Congratulations for all those who’ve just found out the sex. We’re having a girl and there are so many girls coming. In real life as well. When I was pregnant with my son everyone was having boys. Maybe there is something in the water! Xx

Ania89 · 01/11/2021 16:33

Hi Ladies, I’ve been quiet for a while but had a private scan today (for reassurance mainly as my anxiety was going through tge roof) and we are expecting a boy :) he was so wriggly but we managed to get a clear photo of his private parts and there cannot be a mistake ;)

Kat2022 · 02/11/2021 19:38

@Aquarius25 I’m sorry to hear this. I’ve been really struggling and it’s my first pregnancy due on the 6th of April. I’ve been quite lucky and I didn’t end up in the hospital but only because I was able to drink some fluids. For me it started in week 5 and I was off work until week 13. my nausea slightly eased by week 16 but I’m now experiencing digestion problems. I’m taking omeprazole, UTI antibiotics and anti sickness but don’t take 3 doses a day as I would just nap all day. I’m lucky as I work from home and I was put on this project which I have a lot of flexibility. I am also feeling depressed and I have days where I just burst to tears. I have an amazing and supportive husband and my family but I’m really not well and constantly feel sick. I feel like I’ve lost my identity. I’m so blessed for being pregnant but I’m not myself anymore. I also don’t remember what it feels like to feel normal. I don’t eat any hot meals just small snacks all day as I can’t digest any food. I will be calling my doctor tomorrow to get a referral to see a consultant for my digestion and stomach ulcers. I occupy my mind with some stupid Netflix shows, read books and try to go to sleep very early. I just feel like I want to sleep through this pregnancy as I’m feeling quite flat so I understand how you feel. It helps when I can just be honest with my husband and just express how I feel. I cry if I need to. Sorry if it’s too much info but please remember you’re not alone and you are almost half way through. I hope you feel better soon and you are very very strong! HG is horrible and a lot of women just don’t have it so they will have a very different experience. Try not to compare yourself to other women as every pregnancy is different :-( I’m again really sorry

Kat2022 · 02/11/2021 19:48

Hi Ladies, baby boy for me too. We asked a lady to give us an envelope with a gender so we could read it in our own time when we are ready but we couldn’t wait and we opened it on a same day Smile. We haven’t told our families yet. we also watched a video scan as we had it recorded on usb and I really don’t understand how they came up with a boy but I’ve got to trust the sonographer haha. I’ve got my 20 week scan in 2 weeks so they can always double check. I’ve started buying some baby clothes to cheer me up as this pregnancy is really difficult and I’ve not been myself since week 5 :-(. I can’t believe how many baby girls are on here! congrats everyone !

Dyra · 05/11/2021 09:52

Hope your scan goes well today @Derbee! And anyone else having their scan today ofc.

Derbee · 05/11/2021 17:30

@Dyra thanks! It was great, everything looks good. It took a while, as baby wasn’t overly cooperative! But she saw and measured everything she needed to. It was mostly lying with its legs completely over it’s head, in some sort of yoga pose! Very cute.

Hope everyone is doing ok.
