Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

@Nats7504
Oh me too... i feel like there is no room in my tummy at all. I spoke to my friend about it and she said the baby is still small at the minute so i shouldn't feel liek that yet so im glad its not me.
I feel like the baby is just taking up all my tummy.
Also no motivation either.
Haha im also in the pale, podgy na unhinged club 🤣 thought it was just me beacuse im new to it all.
Ive just decided to start swimming for some exercise and to help my back since the nights are getting darker and weather getting worse for walking. The pool also do Aquanatal so might try that out 🤷‍♀️

Countingchicks · 21/10/2021 16:33

Joining the pale podgy and unhinged club! Been up since 2:30 with back issues 🥱

Scoaf · 21/10/2021 16:41

@Countingchicks
Welcome to the club 🤣
Sorry you're suffering with your back, i cant totally sympathise. Have u always suffered? Ive had a buldging disc for about 10years but since ive been pregnant its been playing up alot and im struggling without my usual painkillers. So thought id try swimming 🤞

Nats7504 · 21/10/2021 16:45

Welcome to the club @Countingchicks

I’m not in any pain yet (waiting for the aches to kick in) but I can’t believe how little I move these days. I’m always sat on my arse so no wonder I’m putting weight on!

Sorry to hear you’re both suffering with your back. Swimming is meant to be amazing for pregnant women, just googled them in my area and they look to be booked up.

Hi everyone - I'm 17 weeks pregnant and didn't know I was pregnant until 13 days ago. I'm 44 and never been able to conceive before so it's all very surreal and exciting. Due end of March. Nice to have a group that's due similar time to me.

Derbee · 21/10/2021 20:12

Ah, congratulations @68degreesnorth, what lovely news!

68degreesnorth · 21/10/2021 20:16

@Derbee thank you very much! It's a miracle baby indeed 🤎

Congratulations @68degreesnorth !! Such amazing news x

68degreesnorth · 21/10/2021 20:53

@charley39 thank you very much! Bit of a miracle... 💫💫

Dyra · 21/10/2021 21:12

Oh wow! What a big surprise that must have been @68degreesnorth! Congratulations!

Was already pale, podgy and unhinged pre-pregnancy, but getting ever more so now. Bring on summer again!

68degreesnorth · 21/10/2021 22:13

@Dyra haha yes! I was about to book an appointment to see a doctor - thinking I had an ovarian cyst or something. I knew the first question would be 'could you be pregnant?' so thought I'd get a definite answer to that first. But then TWO STRIPES!! I didn't believe it, so next day I took another one. Two stripes again... Just completely unbelievable... especially when you've spent the last 20+ years almost entirely without a menstrual cycle and any number of tests I took (out of precaution mostly) were always negative.

Magic! 💫💫💫

bubblepond · 22/10/2021 09:55

Wow @68degreesnorth huge congratulations and welcome! That's amazing!!

68degreesnorth · 22/10/2021 10:09

@bubblepond thank you! 😊

Catconfusion · 24/10/2021 07:57

@68degreesnorth wow that’s amazing news. I’m 42 and will be nearly 43 when this baby comes. I was 40 when my first baby came. We’ve had five losses along the way but so excited to complete our family. My baby is due at the end of March too. Xx

Catconfusion · 24/10/2021 07:58

Just a little update from me. I had a gender scan yesterday and it’s a little girl. Everything looks perfect. Our 18 month old little boy will make the best big brother. Baby looked so comfy and snuggly in there. Xx

Sorry a picture snuck in of my son dancing 😂

PinkCheetah · 24/10/2021 08:05

I'm 16+2 today with my first. I also found out yesterday I'm having a little girl. DH and I so so happy. Everything feels more real now.

Catconfusion · 24/10/2021 08:20

Aww congrats @PinkCheetah it’s the best feeling isn’t it. It’s definitely helped me bond with the baby. Xx

Dyra · 24/10/2021 08:30

Congratulations to you both @PinkCheetahand @Catconfusion.

Catconfusion · 24/10/2021 10:11

Thank you so much @Dyra I’m so relieved and excited now. Xx

68degreesnorth · 24/10/2021 11:01

@Catconfusion thank you 🙏🤎 - I'm glad you've managed to finally complete your family. It's so difficult isn't it, i didn't have any miscarriages myself, but I can imagine all the trauma and heartbreak...

My scan also showed a little girl! 😊 He said they can't be 100% sure at 17 weeks, but I have felt like it's a girl since the day I found out I was pregnant.

So exciting!

Catconfusion · 24/10/2021 12:00

@68degreesnorth thank you. It’s been a tough time but we’re so happy and relieved.

Interesting you were told they couldn’t say for sure. I’m 17 weeks and we were told it’s 99% accuracy. They were definitely girl parts on the scan with the three white lines. It should look like a burger bun if it’s a girl. With my son there was a definite boy part there. I worried a little that I’d still be unsure but I’m pretty certain it’s a girl. It’s so exciting! Xx

68degreesnorth · 24/10/2021 21:21

@Catconfusion I think that's just it, that 1%. At 20 weeks though they're pretty certain. My brothers partner was told it's a girl, yet she gave birth to a boy 👦
