35 weeks tomorrow. I am so freaking uncomfortable! Here are my moans (I will mention to midwife tomorrow as know some of these can mean issues.

  • Feel random itchiness in random parts of body.
  • Can’t sleep often due to calves aching.
  • So lethargic some days can barely do anything.
  • Don’t feel nice/presentable in any outfit.
  • Bags under my eyes from lack of sleep.
  • Have to pee all the goddamn time. Also during the night so contributes to sleep issues.
  • Brain is mush. Can’t remember half the stuff I came here to rant about. Would love someone to join my rant!

Ha ha rant away! I’m 36 weeks. Have PGP so never actually comfortable. Keep getting dizzy which is v impractical with 2 small children. Bastarding nausea is back along with ridiculous food aversions. Now accompanied by wild acid indigestion. Also peeing constantly, always tired and grumpy as heck. And to add insult to injury I have a stye on my eye and currently resembling Quasimodo’s less attractive sister. This will be my last pregnancy so told myself I should enjoy and savour it, forgetting that my body hates being pregnant!

Hopefully yours are just run-of-the-mill pregnancy delights and nothing more serious.

I’ve had mild pelvic pain so huge sympathies to you. And one toddler to tend to. Drives me bananas when he calls me upstairs (I hate stairs!) or drops things on the floor (I hate picking things up!).

Stye is not what you need right now. Best of luck to you and thanks so much for sharing!! 💐

Evening,

I am currently 35 weeks +3 days and agree with most of what you have said. At night time for me most nights I wake up with a painful braxton hick and realise the hip I am lying on is hurting. I then get up because I am awake and need a wee then I struggle to get back to sleep lol.

Nausea has returned, acid reflux, I feel so fat and gross, hardly anything fits me. I cannot wait to give birth! But on the other hand, my 1st DD was born 41 weeks and 6 days we came straight home and my 2nd DD 39+2- waters went first with her, prom induction and ended up with a 5 day stay in hospital due to needing IVABX and she was jaundice. I want this baby to stay put and cook for 40-41 weeks if possible so I keep thinking.... another month of this ahhh

mamamalt · 31/08/2021 22:02

I'm glad I found this thread!! My nausea has come back too!! Whyyy does that happen?!
@Aozora I also am on number 3 so empathise with the feeling of it being the last so wanting to enjoy it! And have PGP so being so sore and knackered and uncomfortable I just want baby here!
My oldest starts school tomorrow and I am mentally preparing to be an emotional mess hobbling round the place 🙃
On the plus I am enjoying my bump as its managing to stay quite round and the movements now baby is head down letting me know she's OK. 🥰
When is everyone due?! Any reckons on early or late?! My other two were both a week late to the day.

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 31/08/2021 22:31

37 weeks here, heartburn & acid reflux is an absolute bastard.
Not prepared In the slightest for a new baby very soon either. House is a building site and I just want to nest in peace but I’m just chasing my tail with clearing up all the time 🤦🏼‍♀️ EXHAUSTED and also running round after my one year old.

We can do it ladies

Rubyrecka · 31/08/2021 22:42

I reckon I’ll be 2 weeks late. Both me and my DH were two weeks late so if there’s any truth in the theory he will be late too!

Lovethewinter · 01/09/2021 01:06

I'm 36+4 and experiencing a lot of the same things but the one thing that is really getting to me is that I seem to be dropping EVERYTHING. It's so uncomfortable to crouch/bend to pick things up (PGP) and half the time I drop it AGAIN!!! In the end my husband actually got me a grabber disability aid thing and it has saved my sanity 😂

MissMarion · 01/09/2021 01:20

35+6 and counting the days until freedom (although starting to seriously freak out about birth and life with a newborn).
Nausea came back for me too, didn't see that one coming. Also pelvic pain and what I think is sciatica, bad sleep, heartburn, feeling huge and overall uncomfortable. And constant anxiety about baby's movements. And I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch... I'm due 30th September but no idea if baby will be early or late, it's my first.

ame88 · 01/09/2021 05:13

40+4 today - currently wide awake with the worst piles pain, frantically googling what to do! Have been using over the counter medicine for 5 days now snd not helping so going to ring doctors when they are open!
I'm a FTM and really shouldn't be spending the last few days worrying about this!

CookieAubergine · 01/09/2021 08:19

The nausea and acid reflux and feeling uncomfortable after eating more than a tiny bit is really the icing on the cake isn’t it. I would like to sit and drown my sorrows with a few treats but no no, the miracle that is the human body has decided that final pleasure in life must be taken too.

Think I must have gotten up ten times last night. Kept dreaming about hospitals and births and appointments too. This’ll be a long day!

@ame88 - poor you, I have insane piles too. Let us know if the doctor has any half decent suggestions

They are going to call me this afternoon so I'll report back!
I'm now spending more time worrying about my piles and what's going to happen in labour than my actual birth and daughter coming!
Just need them to disappear for a few days!

Darklava09 · 01/09/2021 11:07

Hi, 40+2 here

Second baby… first was early so this has caught me off guard. Fed up of constantly peeing or needing to pee for it to be a dribble, stupid lightening crotch and getting stabbed in the bum and vag, really bad SPD, and sore hips from sleeping on my side oh and loose bowels most nights which have inflamed my piles too! Eugh

It's so Miserable isn't it! I'm trying to hard to be positive and focus on all of the excitement and love to calm, but it's difficult when you feel like your bum is on fire 24/7
anniee8ava · 01/09/2021 18:36

That made me laugh. Im so jealous of you ladies being term already! Although tomorrow will be my first day of not entertaining two kids for 6 weeks i cannot wait to sit on the sofa and day time nap 😏

mamamalt · 01/09/2021 20:40

@missmarion I'm due on 30th too!

Sorry to hear about the piles situation! Hopefully doctor has been able to suggest some relief!

Does anyone else get a really sore bottom hip when lying on their side?! Any suggestions on how to lessen this?! It literally is so painful it wakes me up!

CookieAubergine · 01/09/2021 22:19

Lying on my side leaves me with hip pain or knee pain or calf pain. Or a lovely combo of the above. Why is when pregnant I just dream of sleeping on my back, yet never sleep on my back when not pregnant.

I am so fricking uncomfortable, the pleasure of going to bed and getting some rest is ruined by knowing I won’t get comfy.

RoseAndGeranium · 01/09/2021 22:34

38 weeks here and yes, what is with the bloody reflux? I was awake all night with chest pain because of it and I’m frequently sick in my mouth when I bend over — which I do often to pick things up after/for toddler. So gross. Lying on my right side makes it much worse so I can only sleep on my left side and that means I wake up six times a night with hip pain. Rolling over hurts my pubic bone and sitting on the floor to play with my son leaves me feeling that I may not be able to get up. I loved being pregnant the first time round — had none of this stuff to contend with! And like PP I really want to enjoy these last weeks because I’m unlikely to have a third. But ouch and ugh.

LauEli · 01/09/2021 22:52

All of this 😩 just every comment, I'm here for it all. 36 weeks tomorrow and fed up now. Growth scan was awful today, student radiographer, pushed so hard it hurt, he ummed and arghed which didn't fill me with confidence. I had to go to the day unit for a membrane test, as my waters have changed drastically since last scan but negative for leaking...so where has it gone 😂 midwife in the morning and then consultant on Tuesday. I'm gonna ask to be induced... According to scan baby is already 6lb10 with (potentially) 6 weeks to go 😳 rip my vagina if that's the case 😂😂 I know he can say no but its worth a bloody ask.... Failing that its pineapple, sex, nipple rubs and walking this baby out!

Almostcooked2021 · 02/09/2021 10:28

Oh yes feeling you ladies!
36+2 here and so ready. Baby is now confirmed breech, been diagnosed with UTI, then went in yesterday with reduced movements (all seems fine).
Getting the most ridiculous braxton hicks now..and have been awake since 2am for no obvious reason…
Anything that hits the floor is dead to me as I just don’t have the energy to pick it up..
Was aiming for 38 weeks as that is when my son arrived, but now I can’t even wish for that as need to see whether baby is going to turn 🤦🏼‍♀️

Praying4aRainbow · 02/09/2021 18:58

36+4 and currently at the stage of feeling like the baby's head is going to drop out if my vagina any day now 🙃 with everyone else on the being uncomfortable part. Getting induced on the 20th September and I honestly can't wait

anniee8ava · 02/09/2021 19:59

Can we talk about lightening crotch??
Anyone else getting this frequently at the moment?! Some times its SO painful like lightening and you can't do anything to prevent it and dont know when its coming 😱😱

CookieAubergine · 03/09/2021 08:13

@anniee8ava at what point did lightening crotch begin? Haven’t had the pleasure yet Confused

OP posts:
CookieAubergine · 03/09/2021 08:15

@Praying4aRainbow walking home yesterday i thought to myself it was like having a bowling ball in my underwear.

Oh and as soon as I leave the house to go anywhere (ie start walking) it’s like the baby grabs onto my bladder for moral support. If I had the time and energy I’d fake leaving the house, walk in a circle then come back for another wee then go out for real

@CookieAubergine I have had it occassionally for 3/4 weeks but the last week its so bad! His head is really low and on my cervix so I think its when he moves on/near this area i get the pain (im 36 weeks tomorrow)
