35 weeks tomorrow. I am so freaking uncomfortable! Here are my moans (I will mention to midwife tomorrow as know some of these can mean issues.

  • Feel random itchiness in random parts of body.
  • Can’t sleep often due to calves aching.
  • So lethargic some days can barely do anything.
  • Don’t feel nice/presentable in any outfit.
  • Bags under my eyes from lack of sleep.
  • Have to pee all the goddamn time. Also during the night so contributes to sleep issues.
  • Brain is mush. Can’t remember half the stuff I came here to rant about. Would love someone to join my rant!

I don’t but I know it could be a sign of pre-placia (or whatever it’s called). But obviously it could be just normal too, but maybe mention it to your doctor/midwife

heygirlhey · 10/09/2021 10:10

@WeAllLikeVindaloo managed to doze off again and I finished up work yesterday for mat leave. Have a midwife apt today so we'll see if she's engaged any further since last apt...DF says I've waddled since I found out I was pregnant 🤣

The insomnia is a pain, here's hoping we all get a better nights sleep tonight!

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 11/09/2021 22:40

How we doing ladies?!
Been booked in for an induction on Thursday @ 39+1!! Absolutely shitting myself! Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated.

Not long now till we all meet our babies 🥰

anniee8ava · 11/09/2021 22:45

Aww goodluck @WeAllLikeVindaloo thats exciting! Take something to do to keep you occupied incase you have a long wait for an ARM or something to happen.

Im 37 weeks on the dot today, I have been having braxton hicks every 5 ish minutes for the last 2 hours but not painful, just pressure in back and achy! I led down and now they have completely stopped.

Bellyrumble · 12/09/2021 17:50

@WeAllLikeVindaloo good luck! I’m in now being induced at 36+5 ans waiting for an ARM. I echo what @anniee8ava says, be prepared for a wait if delivery suite is full!

How you feeling today Annie?

Weirdly I’m not bored I’ve taken my crochet blanket to finish and I’m enjoying the peace and quiet by myself 🙈

Bellyrumble · 12/09/2021 17:59

37+5 that should say*

I think we might be due date buddies, also will be 39+1 on Thursday! How come you are having an induction? I am so jealous. I have a growth scan and clinic appt on Thursday and desperately hoping get offered an induction.

I am so here for this thread, I’m 38+4 today and absolutely miserable. I’m basically disabled with pelvic pain, can barely walk or look after my toddler, have horrendous piles, can’t sleep, and just so uncomfortable.

Ladies with piles - My GP prescribed me an ointment which is vastly better than the over the counter stuff (which lets be honest seems to be about as effective as butter would be) with a promise of a much better solution after birth. But the ointment has made a decent difference compared to over the counter, would recommend getting an appt.

anniee8ava · 12/09/2021 21:31

@Bellyrumble good luck with the induction! You might have the first baby on this thread how exciting!

I had pains again for 1/2 hours when i was at the park with my daughter but then they stopped. I am feeling fine otherwise, not too fed up, sleeping, well lack of sleep is rubbish but otherwise i still have got lots of energy. My iron levels were rubbish though and now back to normal so might be that making me feel ok.

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 12/09/2021 21:36

@Pentamix aww yes we are due date buddies! Do you know what you’re having?
I had been having growth scans due to low Papp-a but complete swing the other way and she’s a big baby so they are wanting to bring her early.
Hopefully you get the news you want from your appointment, sounds as if you’re in lots of discomfort Flowers

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 12/09/2021 21:38

@Bellyrumble ohhhh how exciting! Good luck I hope all goes well for you x

Bellyrumble · 13/09/2021 06:54

Thanks ladies
@WeAllLikeVindaloo
Things I recommend- bring an eye mask and ear plugs! I haven’t had a great nights sleep!

Still waiting on a bed on delivery suite so they can break my waters but things have started to move on their own a bit

The waiting around is the hardest I think! There’s 2 hospitals where I live and the other one closed last night as they were full so everyone was coming here, which is why it’s taken so long. Fingers crossed for today!

@anniee8ava glad your iron is back up! I had the same a few weeks ago and even though wasn’t sleeping, it makes a huge difference to your energy when it does creep up!

Hope you all have relaxing and pain free days today Smile

courtneylily · 13/09/2021 12:31

I'm 32 weeks today with first baby, so slightly behind most of you (also my first ever post on here haha)! Feel like i have had such an easy pregnancy with no sickness or anything. Although now... i could moan for days! Hips are absolutely KILLING me - midwife suggested physio but i feel like its a bit dramatic. Has anyone had to do this? Other than that, occasional cramps in calves that wake me up and agree with the random itch in back thing, makes me get panicky if i cant reach or get to it - very annoying and strange! Its a whole new world ha ha!

TomatoSoup69 · 13/09/2021 14:39

@courtneylily - see the physio, it's not dramatic. I kept putting it off and really regret it (36 weeks now and only just getting an appointment on Thursday!) I have lower back pain, hip, pubic and pelvic pain. If anything, see the physio now while you're still feeling like it's a bit dramatic - you can knock the pain on the head before it gets worse! x

heygirlhey · 15/09/2021 15:22

How is everyone? Any baby joy yet? I'm now 39+3, nothing happening I've just been out for a hilly walk at the suggestion of midwife to see if I can encourage anything....apt on Friday and back to day assessment on Monday for a quick stint on the ctg as they thought I maybe had static growth but she's totally fine. Can be induced if I want from sunday but might go for a sweep on Monday and see what happens from there.

Hope everyone is managing!

Bellyrumble · 15/09/2021 15:36

@heygirlhey I had my little one at 3:30am yesterday! I was induced- have been in since Sunday but they didn’t have a bed to break my waters and start the drip until 8pm Monday. Baby came 7.5 hours later!

I’d had 2 sweeps but was only 38weeks. Gonna warn you the induction drip was intense! But it did the job and he’s here now that’s the main thing

Good luck whichever you decide to do :) and hopefully you don’t have a long wait for a bed on delivery suite if you do decide to go for the induction! x

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 15/09/2021 15:39

Oh congratulations @Bellyrumble!!!

I’ve been to see midwife, attempted sweep but she couldn’t reach cervix ☹️ Due to be induced tomorrow morning. So nervous!

heygirlhey · 15/09/2021 15:48

@Bellyrumble Massive congrats on your wee one!

Yes I've heard it's all very intense with induction and I really would like things to happen naturally 😩 Hospital midwife said they too were busy and folk were hanging about for days in hospital waiting on getting their waters broken. Looks like initially if I went for it, it would be pessary. Leaning to sweep to try get some info as to where we are at cervix wise then will go from there. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Elisemum · 15/09/2021 16:18

Ha I read all the posts and I feel you all! I’m 36+3 today and I also drop absolutely everything. And once it’s dropped there is no way of me ever picking it up!:) I lay awake for hours at night trying to fall sleep then needing to pee, then needing to get up cos my hips are so sore. I just can’t wait for 8pm so I can go to bed the same time as my toddler:) I’m so nauseous I can’t eat anything but at the same time I’m hungry. I have two more weeks of this, section booked so let’s just hope baby doesn’t decide to come earlier than that. Fingers crossed

anniee8ava · 15/09/2021 16:56

Ahh congratulations @Bellyrumble!! How are you feeling now baby is here?
I don't know why but it feels too sureal for me, i can see my pregnant bump but to have an actual baby again doesnt seem real lol

Goodluck for your induction tomorrow Vindaloo :)

Aozora13 · 15/09/2021 17:51

Congratulations @Bellyrumble! Hope all is going well.

I’m still recovering from the embarrassment of having to tell the midwife that the reason for glucose in my wee may well be due to the fact I had a massive bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes with a side of liquorice allsorts for breakfast, although now waiting for blood test results. Sweep booked for next week at 39+2, really hoping to get things moving as I am DONE with being pregnant.

Aozora13 · 15/09/2021 17:52

Good luck with your induction @WeAllLikeVindaloo, hope all goes well. Exciting you’ll get to meet your baby so soon!

heygirlhey · 15/09/2021 19:08

Good luck @WeAllLikeVindaloo tomorrow, exciting times!

@Aozora13 if it's any consolation I'm loving crunchy nut cornflakes just now, haven't had them for years but have become partial! Liquorice not so much ha ha!

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 16/09/2021 11:21

Thankyou everybody for your well wishes! Will keep you posted.

Hope you’re all feeling okay today aside from the usual aches and pains x

heygirlhey · 16/09/2021 11:54

So update had the 'bloody show' ( sorry tmi) this morning and currently have period cramps and abit of back ache....might not need the sweep tomorrow after all! Fingers crossed!

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 16/09/2021 12:05

@heygirlhey eeek! Everything crossed for you!
