35 weeks tomorrow. I am so freaking uncomfortable! Here are my moans (I will mention to midwife tomorrow as know some of these can mean issues.

  • Feel random itchiness in random parts of body.
  • Can’t sleep often due to calves aching.
  • So lethargic some days can barely do anything.
  • Don’t feel nice/presentable in any outfit.
  • Bags under my eyes from lack of sleep.
  • Have to pee all the goddamn time. Also during the night so contributes to sleep issues.
  • Brain is mush. Can’t remember half the stuff I came here to rant about. Would love someone to join my rant!

Tell me about it! I’m 35 weeks and I feel your pain! Zero sleep, going to the bathroom every hour, painful stitch like pains in my bump, can’t walk, can’t talk as out of breath and cannot run after my 2 year old! Heartburn is out of this world, waking up with sick in my mouth - Losec helps a bit. Turning from side to side at night is a task from hell. My husband tried to be supportive but he makes little comments which he thinks are funny like: oh look at that lady, she is bigger than you but she is walking so much faster than you !😤drives me insane and makes me upset. We just have to hang in there, will be all worth it in the end

CookieAubergine · 03/09/2021 21:25

@Elisemum yep, you get it! It is comforting to know other people are in the same boat.
I was chomping on some sort of rennie rapize thing at 4am today.
We’ll forget all this when we look back at this time won’t we!

Is anyone getting any signs labour is near? I wish i had a crystal ball so i could see roughly what daye this babe wants to come out 🤣🤦‍♀️

LauEli · 03/09/2021 21:54

@anniee8ava would be so good wouldn't it, haha baby will arrive that day at that time, job done 😁

I definitely think baby has engaged today, my pelvis kills me walking or just generally doing anything, kinda feels like a small football between my legs 😂

ame88 · 03/09/2021 23:59

I keep getting niggles but then nothing!
I have midwife at 9am tomorrow where I think I may have a sweep...let's see!

RoseAndGeranium · 04/09/2021 12:12

39 weeks now and not a twinge. Nothing. With my first I had some Braxton Hicks in the evening for the two days before the baby came, so I'm looking out for them. But since no. 1 was 10 days late I doubt this one's going to shoot out early.
Posters with piles, can I ask you a question while we're all here and being frank? I don't really know what the symptoms are but sometimes when I poo a load of blood comes out with it. It can be quite a lot! It's bright red and it always accompanies one of those horrible prickly poos I seemingly get exclusively during pregnancy so I thought it was an anal fissure combined with increased blood flow down there, but now I'm wondering if it could be mild piles? Thoughts?
Sorry for the grossness, everyone, I can't help myself, it's what the final weeks of pregnancy have turned me into.

Almostcooked2021 · 04/09/2021 13:41

I’ve already moaned on here once, but now I’ve caught COVID so I’m here to moan a bit more :(
Literally don’t know where my head is now 🤯

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 04/09/2021 14:18

Keep getting twinges but nothing. I’ve been offered a sweep for next week which makes me 38 weeks but I think I’m going to put that off till 39 weeks. Still sorting bits out for baby and it’s like I want to go into labour but then I’m so not ready at home 😂

anniee8ava · 04/09/2021 16:55

@Almostcooked2021 oh no thats literally my nightmare 😭 are you ok? Have you had any jabs? Hope you stay well and baby stays put until you feel better. Hugs.

Almostcooked2021 · 04/09/2021 17:09

@anniee8ava I’m not too bad at the moment thanks - although starting to feel a bit wheezy now. And lost my taste/smell completely.
Was supposed to have a scan on Weds as little lady breech which will need to be delayed. So a little concerned about that but there isn’t anything I can do. Just hoping like you say she stays put until I’m feeling better and out of isolation. 🤞
Not had any jabs no :(

anniee8ava · 04/09/2021 17:14

I have read that people who lose their sense of taste and smell tend to have it mild so hopefully that will the case for you. Im unvaccinated too which is why i worry about it.

Ah yes bad timining but they can do that scan at any time and if you go into labour and need to go in hopsital they can just scan you when you get there to check position.

Almostcooked2021 · 04/09/2021 18:34

@anniee8ava yes I’ve read that too…so am hoping that’s the case for me too!! 🤞🤞

I think it’s all the uncertainties isn’t that make you a little unnerved x

CookieAubergine · 05/09/2021 08:43

@RoseAndGeranium yes I have experienced that. Such a pain to clean up as harder to access the area with a bump. Midwife and doctor just did a telephone shrug. Carry on Sad

@anniee8ava how are you today? Any worse/better? Exactly what we all dread happening.
Have you informed midwife and/or hospital?

Bellyrumble · 05/09/2021 08:53

Morning ladies how you all doing? @Almostcooked2021 I’m sorry you tested positive :( how are you feeling?

Tip for anyone with awful heartburn or reflux- if doctor will prescribe you omeprazole it’s amazing. I’m still not sleeping fab due to pains but at least the heartburn and reflux has completely vanished.

I’m 37w tomorrow, just finishing our isolation having been in contact with a positive covid case when I was in hospital last week. Extra scans and monitoring me for pre eclampsia following my admission last week but my blood pressure is stabilising. I just want him/her here now (once hubby is out of isolation tomorrow…..)

I Finish work on Friday and I can’t wait! Anyone else still working? :)

Hope those of you that can, have a lovely lazy Sunday today. We keep saying “this could be our last Sunday without the baby!” But feels like we’ve been saying that for ages

Almostcooked2021 · 05/09/2021 10:54

@Bellyrumble not feeling too bad so far. Coughing a a bit and lost taste/smell. Both myself and my son had positive pcr result this morning. Means he misses his first ever days at school Sad. Not had husbands result yet but I think he’ll be negative as vaccinated (not guaranteed obviously but he’s tested negative on lateral flows.

Bellyrumble · 05/09/2021 11:12

Ah that’s a real bummer for your son :( i bet he was so excited to go in! However he will be made a fuss of by everybody when he does go in hopefully, and they’ll have more time to settle him without worrying about the others- even more special!

I’m hoping you all feel better soon and hoping your husband doesn’t catch it/ it interfere with him being there for the birth of your little one

Are you going to get him to do lat flows daily? If he happens to get it, the sooner you pick it up the better as isolation starts from positive test doesn’t it :(

We’ve been doing them daily since we were exposed, just incase x

Almostcooked2021 · 05/09/2021 15:28

@Bellyrumble his has come back positive now too 🤦🏼‍♀️ . So ironically son will come out first and neither of us can now take him to school…
Hopefully as husband jabbed he at least won’t get poorly 🤞🤞

Bellyrumble · 05/09/2021 15:34

Oh @Almostcooked2021 I’m sorry! :(

How many weeks are you again? Try not to worry, we’re on day 9 today and the relief that isolation ends tomorrow is unreal.

Hopefully he doesn’t get too poorly being double jabbed, and as really crap as this situation is, the test has picked it up early so your isolation ends sooner than say him getting it mid next week 🤞🤞

Will keep my fingers crossed and you keep your legs crossed for the next 10 days!
Cake and Flowers

Have you family to help with shopping etc? Amazon fresh/prime has been our saviour and it’s free same day delivery over £40 if you need it

Almostcooked2021 · 05/09/2021 17:24

@Bellyrumble thank you 😘
I’m 37 weeks..and son came at 38 weeks so I shall defo be crossing my legs! I don’t think husband has entirely processed the consequences of him testing positive yet - and that is that I’ll be going it alone if she’s decide on an appearance in the next 10 days. Eek.

We’ve just had a shopping delivery this morning, so hopefully we’re good for now. I have horses but on our own land so can keep doing them still, which is great for keeping us sane! Well me anyway Grin x

anniee8ava · 05/09/2021 20:18

Glad to hear your still doing okay almostcooked!

Does anyone get really achy in the evenings? Im 36+1 and currently getting intermittent back pain along with my braxton hicks and lightening crotch. Baby also hasn't been as active today, but im led on my sode seeing if he will wake up. Joys of late pregnancy!

Bellyrumble · 10/09/2021 05:14

@Almostcooked2021 how are you and the family doing? Hope all okay and you’re not suffering too much with symptoms. You’re more than half way through your isolation now, you can do it!!

Im having more tests, an examination and a sweep today (37+3) and my induction is booked for Sunday if I’m “favourable”. Pretty nervous now but safer due to my BP.

I only finished work yesterday. No time to do anything 😬

heygirlhey · 10/09/2021 06:10

Currently lying awake with preggo insomnia for the last 2 hrs since getting up to do a dribble...38+5. Have the majority of symptoms other folk have except piles luckily! So many things at night to contend with, I too get achey hips and knees and they are agony and wake me up. Resorted to gaviscon to avoid the waking up with vomit in mouth and it seems to have worked. Nausea has returned too which has taken any joy of eating away!

Anyone else on high alert with odd aches and pains? Feel like I'm looking out for any sign of Labour these days! I was two weeks premature so that theory hasn't held true and DF a couple of days so who knows. 🤷🏻‍♀️

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 10/09/2021 07:14

@heygirlhey omg I was awake for hours the other night! So frustrating when you’re tired too! Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep.

I’m in full on waddling mode now. Baby’s head is right between my legs.

MissMarion · 10/09/2021 07:52

Does anybody else suffer from swollen hands and feet? I'm 37 wks and I do, a lot.
They don't look too bad when I look at them (I don't know if you'd notice if you didn't know what they normally look like), but they really bother me, especially the hands. When I wake up during the night or in the morning I can barely make a fist, they feel really painful (the knuckles particularly) and the fingers just too swollen for me to be able to close them... Confused
