@Haiyaa sounds like you were having a bit of a crap week of it yesterday. Glad to hear baby was OK tho and hope today's gone better for you.
Nice to see you over here @paintfairy & @blackcurrantqueen
@justanothercyster I think the official line no matter how you gave birth is a min 6weeks to avoid internal infection from the wound the placenta makes when it comes away (or something along those lines). I think we maybe tried about 8 weeks but it wasn't enjoyable as I was still so conscious of hurting my stomach even tho the scar was healed by then and I couldn't stand the weird numb feeling when anything touched my stomach. I can't remember how long after that before we tried again. As for the gigantic knickers, DS is 4, I've never went back to normal ones unless it's a treat for DH, I'm just too comfy now 😂
@minster2012 talking of pads, I have another tip to add to your c section tips - don't let your knickers fall to the floor when you first go for a pee! 😂 The first time I went to the loo in the hospital my knickers fell right to the floor only for me to discover when I was finished that I couldn't actually bend down to pull them up. I ended up having to shout DH into the loo to a) help me off the toilet as by then I had tried bending too many times to fetch my pants that I was too sore to even stand up and b) pull my knickers up for me as I couldn't bend over to do it. I then couldn't position the sanitary pad far back enough on my knickers as I couldn't bend to reach because of the pain from overdoing it trying to retrieve the blooming pants and DH had to do it for me too. So I stood in the bathroom and cried at the state of me standing there bleeding, in pain and having to get my husband to put a fanny pad on and pull up my pants......it was definitely a low point! I managed all further times after that myself but I definitely wasn't prepared for that 🙈 so yea don't let your knickers fall to the floor, get that on your list too 😂
