@bez91 oh no car sick? Weirdly that's something that makes me wretch, but Def get some extra clothes, kitchen roll & plastic bags to then through away!! Ooo next Sunday this is so exciting!! When DS gets off me I'm going to do a bump shot (but after MacDonalds & a Chinese yesterday!)

@DKDK123 10 days is either today or tomorrow depending how you take it so I'm really pleased

@Kate105 that's capsule wardrobe to the max!

@lucyrp how many clothes?

feliznavidad2 · 21/11/2021 07:29

I had forgotten quite how sicky/pooey little one's can be, thanks for reminding me @Kate105 @lucyrp @Justanothercyster

Looking forward to the bump shot @Minster2012 Smile

All ok here, think I'm 7 weeks today. Only 5 days until repeat viability scan now. Trying to remain positive.

Went out for a fancy fine dining dinner last night, was booked pre-BFP with PIL. I was a bit anxious as to whether they'd be good at accommodating my err dietary needs but they were fab, really good.

Laying in bed feeling sick now (it settles after toast, thankfully), listening to DS hassle PIL... Grin

bez91 · 21/11/2021 07:42

@Minster2012 yay, please share bump + yesterday food baby photo 😊 have you and DH talked about when you might tell X?

@feliznavidad2 was wondering how you were getting on, not too much longer to wait. Sickness is a positive though 🤞🏼

Minster2012 · 21/11/2021 07:52

Need to shift DS (& wake up DH to move away out of the mirror!) def a lot of food baby there I think 🤔 @bez91!! We have basically decided to tell X on the morning of the scan, maybe even when we get there 😂of course he'll then think it's arriving IMMINENTLY 🤪

@feliznavidad2 5 days, boom you've got this 🙌🏻🤞🏻oooo fine dining what did you have?!

feliznavidad2 · 21/11/2021 07:57

@Minster2012
Eee, telling X will be so exciting. I haven't even thought when we'll tell our DS if all goes well.

So, we had the tasting menu:
Short rib of beef satay bonbon
Celeriac foam
Butternut squash risotto (was more exciting than it sounds)
Smoked haddock and leek thing (with duck egg for those that wanted it)
Cod and something
Pork with redcurrants and something
Apple crumble soufflé
Cheese (I just had a bit of the pasteurised one and crackers)
Petit fours Grin

I washed it all down with gallons of lemonade and water, whilst everyone else had the wine flight... Envy

Have a good Sunday all. 😘

paintfairy · 21/11/2021 13:15

Hello! 😊
I don't feel I belong on here yet, so probably won't post. I don't know if I can accept its real until my viability scan. And to be honest I still keep having to remind myself it's even happening.
But I feel rude loitering and not letting you know I'm here. 🤣 Obviously there are some helpful tips though so I thought I should start paying attention, as there might be some helpful stuff for me.

Haiyaa · 21/11/2021 14:42

OMG @paintfairy, I haven’t been keeping up this last week or two… so the IVF was successful?! Yasssssssssss! So happy, it’s been a long road for you and hopefully everything will look just right at the scan!

Hope everyone else is ok, love the name @Florence13, my friend recently had a Jude and he is adorable.

I agree boys names are infinitely harder than girls. So much so that I think if we have a boy he probably won’t have a name for a good few days!

Had a bit of a shit week. Awful pains that I think was the worst wind of my life all over my stomach and into my back in waves. Couldn’t feel baby moving so was sent to the midwife. Obviously baby started having a party as soon as the gel went on 🙄 but she then said maybe it’s early labour! I also had ketones in my urine but hadn’t been able to eat or drink a lot all day so they’re hoping it was just that. Thankfully everything settled now but it was a bit nerve wracking, baby needs another 10 weeks!

Hope everyone else is ok?

2020mission · 21/11/2021 15:32

@Minster2012 jealous of those abs - they must be strong! Enjoy being able to see your feet now while you can 😅 I'm sure in a matter of weeks you'll be seeing a bump form. Have you got your private sex scan booked in then? Hopefully you get a little girl so you've got one of each but either way a healthy baby is a win.

Welcome @paintfairy I completely understand the reluctance to fully join in until the viability scan, having joined in the past and then had to leave after the early loss. Hopefully time will fly by and after your scan you can start posting here more and enjoy the pregnancy 😃

Thanks @lucyrp @Minster2012 @Kirky658 @DKDK123 @Lexber @feliznavidad2 for all your sterilising feedback 👍 I wasn't sure at all about the Milton cold water one because of it using chemicals but that's interesting that many of you recommend it, I also saw it's highly rated, good value and found out it's what my mum used for my bottles. I think I'll initially grab a few MAM bottles as @lucyrp mentioned and sterilise them in the microwave until I find out if breastfeeding works. If I do need bottles regularly then I'll likely get the Milton! Still happy to hear of any recommendations from ladies who haven't posted yet too of course.

@Lexber a boy and girl would be lovely, fingers crossed for you!

Justanothercyster · 21/11/2021 16:55

@lucyrp 7?!?? How!!

@Minster2012 aww no! How awful were they! Not good.
You look amazing btw!

@DKDK123 that is SO true! Every time we just about step out the door, poo!

@feliznavidad2 wow that's intense!

lucyrp · 21/11/2021 16:57

@Justanothercyster sick after sick, and dribbles and poo 😅 once she gets slightly damp around the collar she winges 🥲

paintfairy · 21/11/2021 17:25

@Haiyaa yes. OTD was Friday but I caved and tested Thursday with a frer. Viability scan isn't until 14th Dec but I'll be 8 weeks by then so I'm going to call this week and see if I can move it forward a week.
@2020mission its rubbish you can't just be happy and enjoy it, isn't it. Which is how it's meant to be! Apparently......

Kirky658 · 21/11/2021 17:43

@paintfairy hi hi hi ❤️❤️👋👋👋😘😘😘
@haiyaa oh hun that must have been so scary, hopefully they're keeping an eye on you and bub now?

blackcurrantqueen · 21/11/2021 19:24

Hi ladies
Here I am creeping across at nearly 31 weeks
But honestly I was a bit too scared to 😂
Silly I know....
xx

Justanothercyster · 21/11/2021 21:23

@lucyrp oh little madam! W had our first projectile incident earlier 🙄

@Haiyaa omg!!! That sounds so awful :( hugs x

Ladies that have had a c-section, couple of questions please...
When were you able to have sex again? NOT that I'm in the mood AT ALL right now but just curious...?
When did you stop wearing gigantic knickers?
Will I ever stop bleeding...? Bored of this now after months of no periods 😂

OP posts:
lucyrp · 21/11/2021 21:27

@Justanothercyster think I bled until around 6-8 weeks sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😅 then I went back to my thongs

Kate105 · 21/11/2021 21:48

I only bled for 3 and a bit weeks @Justanothercyster and back in the sack at 4 weeks 😳

Haiyaa · 22/11/2021 10:07

I bled for about 3 weeks @Justanothercyster, I think it was a good 6-8 weeks before sex was on the table but I was exhausted and am precious about wound healing (I didn’t even drive for 12 weeks). I think generally if you are healing well and go slow then whenever you feel ready is fine.

Thanks everyone I’m a lot better now but I’m still very wary.

Good to see you here @blackcurrantqueen, I’m only a few weeks behind you, how are you feeling? Must be nearly time for Mat leave?

blackcurrantqueen · 22/11/2021 13:47

@Justanothercyster I actually didn't have a lot of bleeding from what I remember but my c section wound split open and I had lots of issues so I think I stayed well away from sex for quite a while 😂

@Haiyaa yes! I've been WFH from 28 weeks because of covid, and actually started a new job today.. but I am WFH until end of December then annual leave in January and then mat leave from the 17th, baby due 26th..
c section currently scheduled for the 2nd of feb unless anything changes I am going to try for a vbac, and if any problems arise in the mean time I'll change c section date to the 19th which would be 39 weeks..
At my scan the other day she was still breech so I'm hoping she's going to flip round!

blackcurrantqueen · 22/11/2021 13:47

@Haiyaa sorry I clicked send too soon! How are you? X

Kirky658 · 22/11/2021 16:38

@justanothercyster sorry 6 weeks for me, every time I thought it had finished it carried on! Hope you and your gorgeous girl are OK xx

Haiyaa · 22/11/2021 16:43

Not too bad in general @blackcurrantqueen, I have a lot of annual leave too so only about 5 more weeks of work! Still in practice but mostly telephone appointments, what’s your new role? How funny, my section is booked in for 01/02!

Haiyaa · 22/11/2021 16:45

Oh and on the gigantic knickers front @Justanothercyster, I never really stopped 🙈 they’re really comfy and smooth things out if you get an overhang like I did 😢

Minster2012 · 22/11/2021 17:39

Sorry been feeling horrendous yesterday & today but a quick check in from Center Parcs Sherwood!

Watching the c section chat with interest and a pad, I mean a note pad but after what @Justanothercyster had said it might be a pad pad too!!

I thought sex wasn't recommended until 6 weeks post partum anyway? Or is that not a thing now?

@paintfairy & @blackcurrantqueen 😊🥰🤗

@2020mission my abs are no way steel! In fact my abdo surgeon said to me years ago I could do 400 sit ups and it still wouldn't make a difference I think I'm just lucky atm! Though it's popping now! I have a private scan on 4th Dec booked which is a day before 16 weeks so hopefully they can still do gender 🤞🏻

@Lexber oooo a boy girl would be great, I'm so excited for you to find out! Plus I had a Starbucks hot choc fudge brownie today & was pretty disappointed ☹️

@Haiyaa they are swines even before they pop out!! But glad it's all ok
