DH just said to me "so when do you start showing then?" And I replied a lot of ppl do by this stage and a lot are later 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also measured my boobs using both molke calculator and boob or bust and it says a 34G & 34F 😳😳😳(thats DH btw)

Helllloooooo boobies 😂

Got my first obs gynae consultant appointment tomorrow afternoon, shall ask again about wether to continue with the progesterone, I'd love to stop the bullets 😂

Justanothercyster · 15/11/2021 21:54

Hi lovelies, sorry I've been quiet for a while, just adjusting to life with a bubby. She's a dream, feeding well, getting there with sleep, just lovely 💕 I keep getting bouts of anxiety thinking "omg everything has changed" and just found the whole experience of being in hospital for her birth incredibly traumatic, so just trying to enjoy our bubble and make the most of Molly.

Hope you're all doing well xx

I wrote a really long reply to everyone and it don't post 🤦🏽‍♀️

Been admitted to hospital for monitoring after another bleed this evening, cervix is closed but they decided being 2 they wanted to keep me overnight as a precaution and scan me tomorrow before I go home.
Bleed has eased and was def external which is a massive relief.

I can feel some movement now too which is a relief. I'm 14+5 but the dr did say i would feel them earlier than a Singleton because it's twins but also I'm experienced so know what I'm feeling - I started feeling bubbles/flutters about 2 weeks ago I think but thought it was just my imagination or wind 🤣

Was really poorly yesterday and last night with severe sickness and severe constipation so either of them could have cause a rupture vessel and bleed who knows?
I was on the loo at 1am am rocking and praying for a stubborn 💩 🤣 and I have felt off all day.
They're testing me for anemia and I am showing signs of dehydration in my water.
So a night of rest it is !

I'm also getting headaches I've literally just asked the nurse for paracetamol as my head is banging and I feel so tired I just want to sleep

feliznavidad2 · 16/11/2021 06:49

Oh @Lexber bless you, that sounds anxiety inducing! Hope you managed to get some good(ish) zzz and are able to go home today.

@Justanothercyster bask in your bubble lovely, and enjoy these special moments x

@bez91 ah I'm alright, thanks for asking. Trying to keep positive, have some serious dry heaving and nausea this am which is sort of reassuring. Only 10 days to go until repeat scan. x

Minster2012 · 16/11/2021 07:38

@Justanothercyster so lovely to hear you getting on well & seemingly enjoying it 😊

@Lexber hid that doesn't sound good, I think you are going to need a fair bit of monitoring going forwards. Hopefully you got some rest & the scan goes well today 🤞🏻

@feliznavidad2 symptoms are good 👍 tick those days off 🤞🏻it's the longest time in the world but I'm confident your bean is in there growing ready to show you.

@2020mission I really look forwards to feeling movements, DH said to me last night "when do you start to show?" Well I guess soon! Still just look a tiny bit bloated in the evenings 😂

Kirky658 · 16/11/2021 17:24

@justanothercyster glad you're getting on well, she is gorgeous 😍
@lexber oh hun that sounds so scary! I hope you're ok.

I'm starting new therapy tomorrow for helping to process my birth trauma x

Lexber · 16/11/2021 18:42

I'm home and thankful that both babies are good and healthy with strong heartbeats ❤️❤️
Unexplained bleed seems to have stopped, but I have to take it easy and rest.

Not the greatest pictures as baby was in awkward position again but they've both moved slightly and are now side by side.
15 weeks tomorrow.

That's good @Kirky658 hopefully the therapy helps you to process what happened xx

@Lexber so pleased you are all ok you need to rest up you do
Chilllll out!!

@Kirky658 fingers crossed for the new therapy 🤞🏻

So I had my first consultant appointment today, where there was both an antenatal consultant & an endocrine consultant. After much raising of eyebrows over masks & going through my history they kept saying "wow you are complicated!" And immediately said how do I feel about a planned c section to deliver as they don't want me to get into an emergency situation & bearing down on all my internal scars could cause internal tearing 😬😳that's fine by me then!

bez91 · 16/11/2021 19:50

@Lexber glad you're home and things looking good. Take it easy! It's lovely to see them side by side like that 🥰

@Kirky658 hope the therapy goes well

@Minster2012 how to you feel about that? Were you expecting them to suggest that? With the birth, will you be having the baby in a local hospital or will it have to be elsewhere because of all the other consultant involvement?

Minster2012 · 16/11/2021 21:08

@bez91 I'm fine with it, I basically expected it as I'm high risk for 3 things which can go wrong in birth (bleeding & clotting, steroid deficiency which can be life threatening & actually they were more concerned at the amount of rectal & abdominal surgery I've had) she said that there's a lot of delicate scarring /tissue inside me which if it gets damaged I'm in for a whole world of issues & more surgery which could even mean reinstating my illeostomy & having a permanent stitched up bum.

I definitely don't want that. 😬so def everything being monitored and managed with teams in hand is best, with a c section they can avoid most of my abdo scarring & bowels so I totally get its best.

They did say whilst being awake though sake as most ppl which is great 😊

Minster2012 · 16/11/2021 21:10

Oh and it will be in my local hospital they've got an endocrine consultant there that I saw today but I also still have calls with my normal endocrine team which are in Leeds and they will liaise.

Minster2012 · 16/11/2021 21:30

And I forgot @bez91 stay on progesterone until 24 weeks!

Kate105 · 16/11/2021 22:18

You know @Minster2012 I was so against having a section and was desperate to avoid one. Obviously then that meant I had to have one 😂 and I don't have anything to compare it to because this is my first baby but the whole thing was such a positive experience from start to finish. Recovery has been really easy too, i expected a lot worse! And that's with it being an emergency section so I can only imagine a planned one being even more chilled.

In baby news OH and I got to watch Bake Off tonight by ourselves because we actually managed to put James down in his cot at 8pm and he's still asleep now 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 on the other hand it did take me an hour and a half to get him to sleep 😂🙈 now can't decide whether to stay up because he's due to wake for a feed any moment now or just go to sleep and see what happens...

Florence13 · 16/11/2021 23:56

Sorry haven’t had chance to catch up properly but just wanted to jump on and say my little boy arrived in a fast labour this morning. He is doing well and definitely a boob monster haha.

DKDK123 · 17/11/2021 05:49

@bez91 @whatwonder I'm the same, I thought I was coming out of the other side of the 1st trimester symptoms and felt great for about a week then this past week it's hit full force utter exhaustion and constant nausea even worse than before 🙄 I Had major mum guilt as I accidentally fell asleep looking after DS the other day and missed his lunch. Woke up to my kitchen a disaster zone as he'd pulled everything out of the cupboard looking for food. Went up to his room and he was sitting there happy as Larry with multiple yogurts and snacks that he'd found while proudly proclaiming that he'd made his lunch 🙈 Felt like one of those social work adverts where the parent is passed out and the young child left to fend for themselves! Terrified me tho the thought he could have chocked on something or decided to try use the cooker or something like that while I was obliviously asleep 😲
I'm lucky to have escaped the headaches lots of people seem to be getting, not sure if that's because they have me on daily asprin to try prevent pre eclampsia happening again, that's maybe warding off any headaches for me.

@Justanothercyster glad you and little Molly are doing well

@lexber glad to hear all is ok, very cute that they're side by side 🥰 Rest up and take it easy.

@minster2012 that's great that despite all the problems they'll need to work around you can still be awake to meet your little baby 😁 I'm going to plead with them to let me be awake this time, I know chances are it'll be another firm no but no harm in asking 🤞

Congratulations @florence13 🥳 glad to hear he made a speedy entrance after making you wait so long to go into labour I the first place. Hope you're both doing well

bez91 · 17/11/2021 07:28

@Minster2012 a permanently stitched up bum is not the one no 😆 have they said if they'll let you go full term? Ooh 24 weeks, that's interesting. I'm off it completely now. I have a small stash if anyone needs any 😉

@Kate105 yes winner! Always a dilemma when that happens though and then throw you a curveball 😆

@Florence13 congratulations that's lovely news. Hope you're both doing well 💕

@DKDK123 oh wow your DS 😂 don't feel guilty. It's hard work when you're zonked!

@Minster2012 what was the bra guide you used? All my bras are underwired and I've had to ditch today as so uncomfortable. This morning I've found an old nursing bra which is more comfortable but isn't hiding my bullet nipples so i've had to conceal them with a cut up sanitary pad 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 07:30

@DKDK123 DS survived so don't worry, and rightly pretty pleased about making his lunch 🍱

@Florence13 that's lovely so pleased for you congratulations on your little boy 🎉

@Kate105 that there is a win! Boom! Hopefully he gave you a nice break before the next feed

Lexber · 17/11/2021 08:44

@Kate105 that's great, did you decide to stay up and wait or head to bed? If mine were due within the hour i used to wait to feed them get a good chunk of sleep - I'm grateful my OH is a night owl so I might actually get some sleep this time lol he can do last feed before he comes to bed.. she plans but knows it won't happen!!

@Florence13 CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 What wonderful news, I hope you are both ok? Xx

@Minster2012 I'm glad they're looking after you well, I'm swaying towards a planned c section I think even though that was my worst case scenario I'm mentally preparing myself especially as it's a much higher chance of an emergency section so if I can remove that stress it might be worth doing.

@DKDK123 we've all done it!! Trust me.. the plus side is now mine are 11 and 14 they make actual food themselves and sometimes or me when I fall asleep on the sofa (most days!!)

@bez91it was lou seeing them in screen togetherness the first scan kept going from one to the other - I laid watching feeling like it wasn't real still. It still feels surreal - hopefully I get used to the idea by next spring.. 🤣🤣

becarefuloutthere · 17/11/2021 08:50

@Florence13 congratulations on the safe arrival of your little boy!
@Minster2012 I'm glad you're being well looked after and they're sorting out your birthing plan nice and early.

Hope everyone is well today! I'm on the train to London as it's office day today! Packed train, all men around me and not a mask in sight!

2020mission · 17/11/2021 11:10

Congratulations @Florence13 🎉 can't wait to hear more about the little guy later.

@becarefuloutthere 😬 How long is your journey into work? The trains I've got recently (always outside rush hour) aren't too bad here as most people do still wear the masks. The last time I got a busy train (last month) I was actually left standing, was really surprised no one offered me a seat with the bump! Thankfully it was a one stop journey.

@Minster2012 C-section sounds like a good plan. Glad they have identified that now. A May birthday will be nice! Or maybe April if they book you in early? Can't recall how far into May your due date is sitting right now?

@Lexber great to hear the scans went well! 😃

@Justanothercyster I expected you'd be offline for a while in the first few weeks. Nice that things are going well with Molly so far. Hopefully you can fill us in on more later when things have calmed down 😅

Kate105 · 17/11/2021 14:27

I went to bed @Lexber which was totally the right call because he didn’t wake up until midnight! But he was then up every half hour from 4am… however this still feels like massive progress 🥳

Congratulations @Florence13 glad the wait is finally over! Xxx

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 16:11

@Kate105 that's a good stretch!!

I'm totally unprepared for the feeding again. DH did a lot of the day ones before as DS purely formula fed and I did night but he was so good from so early I'm gonna get a shock I think with breast feeding

@2020mission currently DD of 22nd may so guessing still a fair bit into may

I think a planned c section with twins might be ideal as yeah avoiding an emergency is a good thing

whatwonder · 17/11/2021 18:42

congrats @Florence13! hope you and your baby boy are doing well xx

@Minster2012 that's good that they've identified a plan from the start with a planned c-section. and a definite plus if it means they can leave your bumhole in peace! What was your experience like with formula feeding from the start btw? I had a breast reduction surgery done so I don't think I'll be able to BF.

@Lexber lovely photo! and it does seem like it would be good to have a section planned so you know what to expect, wouldn't want to end up in an emergency, or with the double whammy (happened to my cousin, she was not a fan). do you know if they'd push to do the section earlier (around 36-37 weeks?) that can be common with multiples, no?

Minster2012 · 17/11/2021 18:53

@whatwonder we had an amazing experience with FF. DS gained so much weight & I do think it helped him sleeping better. Easy for knowing how much he's had too. He's also a HUGE daddy's boy, possibly that has something to do with it, the lack of it being constantly me?! We also went out to a party when he was 6 weeks old. He was a very sleepy baby though we were very lucky. 😂my friend breastfed after a boob enhancement so maybe it's possible?!

whatwonder · 17/11/2021 19:09

@Minster2012 good to know! I think it's pretty common to be able to BF after a breast enhancement, but not so much after a reduction which is a bit more invasive.
