Perfect thank you @Haiyaa, I'm waiting on the clinic to call me back to book the scan as I can't book it online as already paid the deposit. If it takes them as long as it did to get back to me after the miscarriage we might have it booked by Thursday 🤦🏼‍♀️

@becarefuloutthere yes I was good yesterday evening after friends came over it was really nice & a good distraction

becarefuloutthere · 11/10/2021 17:28

@Minster2012 good to hear! Hope you get the date sorted this week. It'd be Sod's law if it then rolled into next week wouldn't it 🙄

Minster2012 · 12/10/2021 09:38

Got it sorted for Sunday @becarefuloutthere 🙌🏻so in advance of the midwives appointment Monday. Hopefully it's good news then I'll be able to fill my notes in

becarefuloutthere · 12/10/2021 11:32

@Minster2012 excellent news! Pleased for you 😊

bez91 · 12/10/2021 11:49

@Minster2012 yesss glad you got it sorted at last!

Tentatively joining ladies, had a further scan at EPU yesterday and measuring ahead at 9+3. They've discharged me and seeing midwife today for booking app. Not out the woods yet but feeling a little more settled 😮‍💨

2020mission · 12/10/2021 12:09

@Minster2012 Glad you got booked in for the scan. Fingers crossed for you that it's reassuring and then you can fill out your forms and have your booking appointment.

Good to see you here @bez91 it's a hard time in those early weeks. I remember constantly referring to the miscarriage probability chart website data... I don't think it was healthy but it's impossible not to worry so much when you've had losses.

I felt better after my 12 week scan and then a lot more after the 20 week scan as I started feeling movements around then too. I think the anxiety drops a lot when you can feel movements as it's the one thing that tells you baby is in there and good, until then you always need those scans to tell you.

Thinkingandblinking · 12/10/2021 12:09

Hello to all the old but new for this thread faces! Everything crossed for you all, it’s such a rollercoaster time in the early days, all you can do is take it a day at a time xx

Minster2012 · 12/10/2021 13:46

@bez91 🥳🥳🥳🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thank you @Thinkingandblinking how are you?

@2020mission I don't think the worry will ever go but hopefully it gets better

bez91 · 12/10/2021 18:55

Thanks ladies 🥰

@2020mission oh yes I've been terrible with that probability chart, currently at 3.4% chance 🙈 that's good to know that anxiety has eased as time has gone on. I don't imagine it ever fully goes away as MC just takes away the naivety of it all.

Had my booking appointment today, they've referred me to be consultant led so not really sure what to expect. Just due to the previous MCs and because my DD had a low birth weight so I'll go for more growth scans apparently. She was 6lb3oz so not that small but I'm only tiny myself so I'm never going to carry and birth a 12 pounder 🤷‍♀️

Justanothercyster · 12/10/2021 21:07

Exciting stuff @bez91 glad to see your update :) very good! 💕

@Minster2012 hope all goes well x

Been quiet, sorry. Been tying up everything as finishing work this week and starting to feel very restless. Dh has been feeling low the last few days too which is bringing me down, he says nothings wrong but obviously something is. He's a nightmare when he gets in these moods, so hoping it passes soon!

OP posts:
2020mission · 12/10/2021 21:58

@Justanothercyster ugh my husband is the same when he's down he won't just talk about what's wrong which I'm sure would help. Hopefully he will snap out of it soon 🤞

Minster2012 · 13/10/2021 08:36

@bez91 we had consultant led for DS as was IVF & surrogacy & it just meant more scans which was good but they weren't keen on my friend having the home birth she wanted as they said consultant led should be hospital birth. They signed it off ok in the end after the 36 week scan so it was all good for us. He was 9lb & her 2 children were also around that, I would be interested what a difference me carrying our child would make?

@Justanothercyster I was going to say if if you'd last week? It's so hard when fellas get in a mood and swing talk OR snap out of it 🤨

@Thinkingandblinking when's your due date?

See I don't find those miscarriage probability charts any reassurance it's weird isn't it

Thinkingandblinking · 13/10/2021 08:46

I’m booked for c section on the 4th Nov, which will be 37+ 6….got steroids today and tomorrow and scan tomorrow, consultant friday…guess they will assess plans then and decide if they go earlier or stick with that date….all feeling very real, but I still struggle to believe it’s all ok and will be ok! That is what reoccurrent lose does I guess but hoping it makes everything feel even sweeter when baby does arrive!! Xx

lucyrp · 13/10/2021 09:33

@Thinkingandblinking omg as if you're that close to meeting your baby! Where do the weeks go! DD is 7 weeks and I can't get over how fast the times gone 😢

Thinkingandblinking · 13/10/2021 09:36

So close now @lucyrp! Can’t believe 7 weeks already, crazy how time can go xx

Crazydoglady123 · 13/10/2021 10:04

So pleased to hear you @Minster2012 and @bez91 that all is okay! I can't even begin to imagine how stressed you both must be feeling still. I know how worried and scared I was (and still am) after loosing my baby's twin. It's so hard to let yourself believe but it does get a bit easier with time (although my poor midwife has to endure 100001 texts off me if I'm worried). Maybe talk to your midwife's when you have your booking appointments about your anxiety and see if they'll see you more regular like mine is. That way it's not too long between a listen in on the doppler, although now I feel movements I have that for reassurance but she still gives me more frequent appointments so it's not too long.

@Thinkingandblinking omg not long now at all!!!

I'm 26 weeks now and my body feels like I should be about 90! My DS school has got multiple cases of covid in the year above him but they mix with them so I've pulled him out of school till half term to see if the cases settle back down. I just don't want to risk things now I'm a week of third trimester. He has a stinking cough/cold currently too which I took him for a covid test yesterday so waiting on those results but I'm pretty sure it'll just be a cold.

Really struggling to keep up with the other thread too 😕 so many posts 🙈

bez91 · 13/10/2021 11:15

@Minster2012 that's really interesting I never even thought about that with birth weights and using a surrogate, I wonder if it does make a difference 🤔 or like they say about fish they'll grow to a size the tank allows 😆 yes I don't see the chart as reassuring either just like to know how unlucky I am if it happens again 🙈

@Thinkingandblinking wow I bet that feels strange having a date put on it 😊

@Crazydoglady123 wow 26 weeks, that seems to have gone super fast. Although not for you I bet, it's tough when battling the anxiety too! Sounds like you've got yourself a good midwife and great she'll see you more. I met mine yesterday, she's an older lady and seems great.

Justanothercyster · 13/10/2021 18:58

@2020mission it's just so annoying! He says he's just tired. I'm like... it's about to get 100% worse and I'm not going to deal with your shit when we're both sleep deprived for the next 5 years 😂 or longer!

@Thinkingandblinking ahhh so close! Everything will be fine 💕 that's 2 days before my EDD :)

@lucyrp wow 7 weeks! How is she doing? And you?

@Minster2012 just stay as positive as you possibly can, we're here x

@Crazydoglady123 Cant believe you're 26 weeks already! I wish I could say the feeling old part gets better ... 😂 hope ds is ok x

OP posts:
lucyrp · 13/10/2021 20:26

@Thinkingandblinking I don't like how fast it's going 😭xx

@Justanothercyster too fast I tell you! Yeah she's great thank you, piling on the pounds now! I'm doing well too thank you, at the moment anyway. Taking each day as it comes, just can't believe how quickly the days are going. How are you ?x

Minster2012 · 14/10/2021 07:21

Sorry ladies I took a bit of time out yesterday.

@Thinkingandblinking wow that's soon!! It will definitely all be ok darling, do you know if it's a boy or girl?

@Crazydoglady123 thank you, yeah I will ask about that with the midwife but it's so good they were reassuring for you. Hoping the cars of C around you ease off

@bez91 how was your midwife appointment? I'm used to being the minority in statistics, as I have so many unconnected things wrong with me I'm just like "OF COURSE I'd be the 3%" and DH is the same, he's like "but it's always you" so I'm just ignoring them! Growing as big as the tank...well she'd had 2 children & she said she showed a lot earlier with X so maybe that's the case, Cos I've had none it might be smaller Cos my tank is smaller???

@lucyrp 7 weeks!!! Gorgeous though & obviously thriving ❤️🤗

bez91 · 14/10/2021 08:46

@Minster2012 hmmm I suppose time will tell, very interesting though. I was kinda thinking based on the size of the person carrying the baby opposed to if they'd had any before, like I'm just over 5ft so I just don't see that I'd ever carry a baby over 8lb 😆 midwife appointment was good she was great kinda skipped the mental health questions. The first one is something like "have you in the last 2 weeks felt extremely depressed or anxious or had a panic attack" she was like well obviously you have having had 3 MCs but I'm going to mark no because if I mark yes you'll get a mental health referral and that's not appropriate. So I outlined I'm usually very mentally stable 🙈

Fatigue has hit me like a tonne of bricks, it was bad before but this week 🥱 struggling to stay awake past 8pm. Counting down the days to hopefully feel more normal and less sick 24/7 🤞🏼

Minster2012 · 14/10/2021 09:16

@bez91 don't wanna worry you hit my petite 5' Chinese friend had one small lean baby & then her second was a 9lb brute, I felt for her vagina 🤣😬mind you her husband is a 20stone 6'3" rugby playing yorkshire man so maybe you are ok 🤣🤣🤣

Justanothercyster · 14/10/2021 14:42

@lucyrp best way to do it, day by day.
I'm fed up. Having really bad braxton hicks since last night again and just spd pain in general is making life hell. But not long to go 🤞🏼

@bez91 im only small and my baby is a whopper! Never trust 'em.

@Justanothercyster I was so miserable the last 3/4 weeks I just wanted to stay inside and not see anyone 😂 when is your due date?

Minster2012 · 14/10/2021 16:14

@Justanothercyster never trust em 🤣🤣🤣
