Well that isn't something I've tried yet @Justanothercyster ... 🤔😂

Kirky658 · 07/10/2021 10:00

@justanothercyster yep pregnancy stops the endo from growing so it's a matter of time now my hormones have stabilised. I'm back on the pill but it is not the most effective way 😅

@kate105 no advice hun unfortunately as I didn't get to that point but I hope you're ok! Just try and rest as much as you can x

lucyrp · 07/10/2021 10:54

@Justanothercyster ffs 🤣😂

Justanothercyster · 07/10/2021 11:44

@Kate105 @becarefuloutthere @lucyrp I couldn't help myself! But seriously Kate, I hope it happens soon for you, must be so uncomfortable x

@Kirky658 oh bless, pill and anti deps are always a tricky combo! Hugs x

41+3 today. Starting to believe I will be pregnant forever, even with midnight naked chicken dancing...

becarefuloutthere · 08/10/2021 08:35

@Kate105 they won't let you go past 42 weeks right? Is your sweep booked in?

Kate105 · 08/10/2021 08:40

I've had 2 sweeps 🙈 induction booked for Tuesday which is 42 weeks... assuming there is room on labour ward on the day!

May Google how to do own C section 🤔

becarefuloutthere · 08/10/2021 11:29

@Kate105 eek at least the end is in sight then! Lol I wouldn't google that, although I'd be interested in the results 😂

We moved house last week and away from the catchment area so have had to register here now and get my notes transferred across. The hospital where I want to give birth said the midwife linked to the gp will book my scan with them. I'm 20 +3 and have a scan booked bk in London tomorrow and I've been trying desperately to get it over here instead as it's at 8am in woolwich and just not practical to go tomorrow. (Dh is working, I have a baptism and 80th bday in different locations, plus we don't have a car yet.) Anyway the midwife for the area has been off sick and I was finally able to speak to the team of midwives who said they'd sort an emergency scan out next week. Not sure when I'll hear bk however so still contemplating whether we should just go tomorrow. I know you're meant to have it before 21 weeks ideally. Does anyone know how detrimental it is to have it after 21 weeks?

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 07:58

Hi, just wanted to pop on a quick question, if I booked a private scan for next weekend, when, based on my last scan I should be 8+5 on Sunday next week (fully expecting to be few days behind) do you think this would be an abdomen scan? I don't want another internal for risk of bleeding 😬

Justanothercyster · 09/10/2021 08:11

@Minster2012 mine was an abdo one at 7 weeks, but just mention it at booking x

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 10:11

Thanks @Justanothercyster I should be ok then. Might try leave booking it til Monday, then it's UNDER a week away!

bez91 · 09/10/2021 12:29

@Minster2012 I think you'll be fine at that gestation, I was really surprised that my last one at exactly 6 weeks didn't need an internal scan, I mean it felt like she was killing me pressing down though. Maybe it's more to chance on position of baby? My next one is Monday at the same you will be next weekend (8+5) so I'll let you know!

bez91 · 09/10/2021 12:30

Btw always checking in on this bus to see how you ladies are getting on 😊 still darent join yet 🤦🏼‍♀️

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 13:22

@bez91 this was the first time I commented on here Cos I daren't either but didn't seem appropriate on ours 😬. I am a bit concerned about the pressing down too, but do we think it's enough to mean I shouldn't? Argh it's a minefield

bez91 · 09/10/2021 13:29

@Minster2012 I think just book it, explain beforehand about not being able to have internal scan etc and if any pressing down would worry you explain that if anything is hard to see without too much force you'd rather just not proceed

Kate105 · 09/10/2021 16:48

@Minster2012 I had to have an early scan at 7w (previous ectopic) and that was an abdo, though they did warn me that if they couldn't see anything from that they would do an internal. So I think generally they try the abdo first unless any major issues! They were able to do mine no bother and didn't press too hard. Good luck x

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 17:59

Thank you @Kate105, I have cysts and a large hematoma so they said no more internal
Scans but I'm going crazy as no symptoms 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️, I hope your baby makes an appearance soon!

@bez91 I will do that thank you 🤗

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 17:59

Hope everyone else & your lovely babes are all ok 😁💓

2020mission · 09/10/2021 19:57

@Minster2012 hey completely get the worry. It's actually part of the reason why I waited until my 12 week NHS scan... I was worried after I had the 4 day bleed/spotting, that an internal would make things worse so I waited a bit longer and then before I knew it the 12 week scan wasn't too far away. It wasn't easy waiting though! I'm sure you'll be fine if you go along and just tell them no internal and also don't let them push too hard. You've already paid for this scan so if you end up going and leaving without having seen what you wanted as they could only offer an internal, you haven't lost anything.

Minster2012 · 09/10/2021 20:55

@2020mission yeah absolutely get your reasoning too, I feel that time is on such a huge go slow I can't think about 12 weeks, it's more that I want to believe in this pregnancy when I talk to the midwife which atm I still don't 😩I've paid £25 deposit for a £79 scan so still need to pay the balance but I'm sure it will be fine with an abdo if things are going well 🤞🏻

lucyrp · 10/10/2021 04:35

@Minster2012 my scan I had at 8 weeks was abdo but like @Justanothercyster says I checked when booking that it would abdo and not internal.

@bez91 hey 👋🏼

Kirky658 · 10/10/2021 08:07

@minster2012 I'd just check with them when you ring, my 6 week one was internal but obvs it is so tiny then!
@bez91 helloooo 👋

Minster2012 · 10/10/2021 10:02

Will do thank you ladies, @lucyrp @Kirky658
might book it tomorrow, feeling a bit low again today

becarefuloutthere · 10/10/2021 22:14

@Minster2012 hope you're feeling a bit better this evening?! 😘

Haiyaa · 10/10/2021 23:34

Oh heeyyyyyy ostriches 😃 good to see you both! I know how you feel, when I had the mc I kept an eye on the thread but took forever to join when I became pregnant again.

@Minster2012 I had a scan bang on 8w and it was abdominal so I think you will be ok for 8+5.
