Just looking for some companions to get through the next few weeks with.
34 weeks now, feel like the size of a house. Belly has measured a week ahead at each midwife appointment but seems to have accelerated in terms of growth over the past week. Acid reflux is a nice new symptom. SPD making most movements quite hard. Constantly too hot and not sleeping great. Don’t get me wrong, I am super grateful to be pregnant but shit this is getting hard now.
Anyone else due early October that fancies a good moan, chat about birth plans etc, let me know!! :)

I'm only 31+2 and feel like this already Grin it's gonna be a looooong final trimester!

BertieBotts · 23/08/2021 19:57

I felt like this at 34 weeks but I'm currently cuddling my 5 day old baby. I did get through it and so will you!

Isbobmyuncle · 23/08/2021 19:59

I’m 33+2 and can relate to all you’ve said. I’m uncomfortable and have had enough. Having said that, I’m also not ready for the baby to arrive so not sure what the answer is at the moment 🤣

LunaDreams · 23/08/2021 20:08

I'm just shy of 35 weeks and feel exactly the same as you @Ummm21. Can't get my head around how baby and bump can keep growing for another 4 or 5 weeks when I already feel so huge! It genuinely baffles me. I'm also really struggling with feeling hot at night so not sleeping well at all. If one more person tells me it's good practice for when the baby is here I think I'll scream!!

WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 20:22

Me! 34+4 and fed up.
Feeling absolutely huge and yet keep getting bigger Shockdon't really have a bunch of symptoms although really not sleeping well due to being so round and uncomfortable / getting up to wee every half an hour / being punched and kicked all night!!
I'm worried how the next 6 weeks will go if I keep expanding at this rate !!

Garman · 23/08/2021 20:24

I'm 30 weeks with dc3 and feel like this, will be a cs in early/mid October so. Have had acid reflux for months, you did well to get this far without it! My bump is the size now it was at 37-39 weeks when my other dc were born, can't breathe, can't bend, can't imagine 8 more weeks of growth 😩

Algebraicyourleg · 23/08/2021 20:27

32 weeks and I want to cry! Can’t bend, can’t stretch, can’t sleep and it was hot today with the forecast to get hotter this week! Breathlessness is this weeks newest symptom for me! Two people told me on Sunday that I looked ready to pop and they couldn’t see me lasting 8 more weeks. Gee thanks!

Greenrubber · 23/08/2021 20:47

I'm 36+5
Cant sleep at night
Too hot
Can't bend
Feel nauseated most days
So much bigger than last time
And slightly nervous about birth again?

8dpwoah · 23/08/2021 20:55

I'm nearly 33 weeks with an SGA baby and still feel huge so you ladies with 'normal' sized babies have my sympathies! Mostly indigestion and coccyx pain going on here at the moment. I think I might only have another four weeks to go and I keep switching between being sad that this is the last time (plan to stop after this one!) I'll be pregnant and wishing the days away til we get to meet baby, it's a weird combination of clashing feelings!

Garman · 23/08/2021 21:00

@8dpwoah I don't know even rough size of this baby but my first was 7lbs 7ozs when he was born early at 36+6, so I'm seriously wondering what size this one is if I'm struggling so much this early 😂

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:06

Oh ladies I am relieved it’s not just me!!

@BertieBotts aaah congrats! How wonderful. Enjoy the newborn bubble 🥰

@Isbobmyuncle I felt like that last week as I had done nothing to prepare so got on google with my list and ordered some stuff for the hospital bag etc. Admittedly that gave me temporary relief as now I have just switched to focusing how bloody massive I feel.

@LunaDreams oh it’s so intense isn’t it. I just stare at my belly and think it’s impossible it’s going to get any bigger. Pretty sure I was this size at 40 weeks last time!

@WideOpenSpaces when are you due? I’m due 2nd October so we must be close together :)

@Garman oh I feel you, I’ve reached the point where if I drop something I genuinely ask myself if it’s something I can do without 😂

@Algebraicyourleg I’ve been ignoring all the heatwave chat as I can’t cope with the idea of a repeat of what we had a few weeks ago. Should probably get the ice lollies stocked up now!!

Oh I forgot about the most fun symptom of all…the fanny daggers!! Wow I forgot about how intense they were 😂

Garman · 23/08/2021 21:07

Anything on the floor needs to be picked up by dh or my small dc or it stays there 😂

BeeDavis · 23/08/2021 21:07

34+5 and in the same boat as you. Horrendous heartburn stopping me from falling asleep at night, needing a wee all the time, the acid reflux is vile! I haven’t had a full night’s sleep this whole pregnancy and I was SUCH a good sleeper before, my body is probably in shock! Still 4 week until I start maternity leave.

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:10

@8dpwoah excuse my ignorance, does that stand for small for gestational age? How are they supporting you with that?

OP posts:
Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:11

@Garman hahah me too!

OP posts:
FTEngineerM · 23/08/2021 21:12

Count me in 🙋🏽‍♀️
37+2 and totally fucking done.

Last one came ‘late’ aswell so it could be another 5 weeks 👀

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:13

@BeeDavis urgh it’s so vile isn’t it? I didn’t even know what it was the first time I woke up with it. So gross!! 5 weeks until I start mat leave which seems like the dumbest idea I’ve ever had!! But I went off 3 weeks early with my first and he came 2 weeks late so I drove myself bonkers waiting 🙈

OP posts:
Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:15

@FTEngineerM oh let’s hope not!! The only thing keeping me sane right now is the idea that my second HAS to come earlier than the 1st as he was two weeks late too. Are you doing/planning on doing anything to try and hurry things along?

WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 21:15

@Ummm21 the 30th September!
First baby so not a clue what I'm in for Grin

MyGrassIsBrowner · 23/08/2021 21:17

I'm 33+3 with baby no.2! This pregnancy has been awful and I'll be glad when it ends 😩 I'm booked in for a section this time and actually looking forward to it now. Bring on that spinal block cause I can't deal with this pain much longer 😭
I'm as big now as I was full-term with my DD and she was 8lb 6oz... pray for me 😳 lol!! X

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:23

@WideOpenSpaces ah so exciting! Do you know what you’re having? We’ve opted for a surprise this time

OP posts:
Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:24

@MyGrassIsBrowner I am bigger than with my first too but keep telling myself it might be all after 😂 have you got your section date booked in yet?

OP posts:
WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 21:30

@Ummm21 nope, it's going to be a surprise. So excited!!!!! How old's your first?

8dpwoah · 23/08/2021 21:33
@8dpwoah excuse my ignorance, does that stand for small for gestational age? How are they supporting you with that?
Yes it does, DD was as well (9th centile) but she had tailed off growth that got picked up by midwife at 40 weeks so that was a bit different, we'd had a scan due to reduced movements with her too at about 34 weeks and all seemed fine. So I had low dose aspirin for this one (in case it was blood flow related) and they booked me a growth scan in advance. Well, the second of several midwives I've seen did that, I was deemed low risk at booking but then my 12 week appointment a different midwife saw things differently. That's been a bit of a common theme...

This one has been small from the get go and is currently around the 10th centile so if we put on a bit before next week's scan they'll leave me til 39 weeks then induce, if she goes below the line I'll be booked in for 37 weeks I think. I think if have any reduced movements or anything like that from now on they'll just get her out so my bag is well packed!

Care has been pretty poor in my trust this time compared with last time although it seems to be getting back on track, finally. I was induced last time so at least I know what to expect, I'm just trying to avoid needing a c section as don't fancy the recovery much with a toddler as well!

WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 21:33

@BeeDavis it's so cruel isn't it. I feel like if I could get a really decent chunk of sleep I'd be much happier with everything. I guess it won't be happening for a while Grin
