Just looking for some companions to get through the next few weeks with.
34 weeks now, feel like the size of a house. Belly has measured a week ahead at each midwife appointment but seems to have accelerated in terms of growth over the past week. Acid reflux is a nice new symptom. SPD making most movements quite hard. Constantly too hot and not sleeping great. Don’t get me wrong, I am super grateful to be pregnant but shit this is getting hard now.
Anyone else due early October that fancies a good moan, chat about birth plans etc, let me know!! :)

@WideOpenSpaces ah nice. He’s 3 and seems very excited although he keeps asking if I’m having a baby elephant 😏😂

Not this week we’re isolating, only went and caught bloody covid😬. But HELL yes once the ten days are up; I’ll be eating vindaloo whilst sipping raspberry leaf tea whilst having sex. On repeat.

Joking obvz but yeah hopefully. I read they come quicker second time round, I have everything crossed except my legs obvz 🤞🏼

WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 21:36

@Ummm21 nice GrinGrinmy sister has twins and she kindly commented the other day 'oh you're so much larger than I was with two!' Ermmmmm piss off !! (Also definitely not true) HmmWink

Greenrubber · 23/08/2021 21:37

@FTEngineerM

Hope your not feeling too shitty we all had it a few weeks back!
I actually wasn't sure of I'm so tired because of the covid or the pregnancy 🤷‍♀️

Sheisfee · 23/08/2021 21:37

40+4 with giant baby and no signs of budging. Fuck my life. 😭

Greenrubber · 23/08/2021 21:39

@Sheisfee

Be out by the weekend

WideOpenSpaces · 23/08/2021 21:39

@Sheisfee hang on in there !!!!!!!! Good luck to you x

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:42

@8dpwoah oh wow, I have to say I’ve felt a bit alone in all this when it comes to care too. Everything crossed your little one puts on a bit of weight in the next few weeks so they let you go a bit longer. I was induced last time and whilst I don’t want that again, I don’t want a c section for the same reasons as you.

@FTEngineerM ah no way. How you all feeling?
Also, great idea once you are recovered! I keep being told it will likely be quicker…here’s hoping!!!!!

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 21:45

@Sheisfee ah fingers crossed things kick off for you really soon! Are you trying anything to shuffle things along?

Sheisfee · 23/08/2021 21:46

@WideOpenSpaces @Greenrubber
Thank you ❤️❤️ & I really hope you’re right 😭😩☹️

You can do it too - we’ll have our babies soon xx

Sheisfee · 23/08/2021 21:48

@Ummm21 literally everything! 😂 I’ve burned my insides with spicy food, killed my partner off with sex, ate 4 ENTIRE pineapples in the past week, nipple twiddling, expressing colostrum, birth ball, walking, hot baths, raspberry leaf… and she’s in there laughing at me 😂

LauEli · 23/08/2021 21:51

34+4 here too!
Belly is itching from being stretched to full capacity 😂 I constantly need a wee. And I've always got a foot or bum in my ribs, lovely.
All those dealing with acid reflux, indigestion etc... Don't suffer ask your midwife or doctor to prescribe you omeprazole, no matter what gestation you are. I've been on them 4 days and they've been a god send. No more histerics about my throat burning and everything bought over the counter being the shittest inventions ever 😂 my actual words to hubby at 3am one morning last week.
Nights are long with hip pain and I'm too hot, but we're growing beautiful humans (who in three years will be sassy little buggers like their older siblings I am sure 😂)

bakingdemon · 23/08/2021 22:06

Can you get to a swimming pool? The only place I felt comfortable when I got to that stage was floating in water, which was some blessed relief

8dpwoah · 23/08/2021 22:10

Oh no @FTEngineerM hope it doesn't knock you about too much!

Also yes yes to omeprazole, it's amazing stuff. Have to say it does slow things down in the digestion department for me but I can totally work with that when compared with my stomach trying to climb back out my throat every night 😂

miltonj · 23/08/2021 22:10

Haha I thought that, didn't see how I could be any more pregnant, but then I went to 42 weeks Blush

Tryingandhoping2020 · 23/08/2021 22:27

Me! 33+2 with first baby, I am massive 😂 not had the most enjoyable pregnancy, really bad morning sickness till 16ish weeks, tiredness throughout (never glowed, never had the rumoured 2nd trimester energy boost). Now even more tired, napping during the day and insomnia at night (WHY), weeing 4 times a night, whole pelvic area is painful when moving, feet hurt, puffy everywhere, can’t really walk… can’t wait to hit full term!

Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 22:30

@Sheisfee oh you really have tried it all. The good thing is, it really isn’t that long now until baby is here ❤️

OP posts:
Ummm21 · 23/08/2021 22:33

@LauEli oh I can totally relate to the itchy belly from all the stretching, it’s bloody sore!!!! Thanks for the tip re the reflux, I’ve asked for a dr to call tomorrow so hopefully they’ll give it to me as I’m sat here now wondering how I’ll sleep slightly upright whilst on my side…how is that even possible?! 😂

MyGrassIsBrowner · 23/08/2021 23:05

@Ummm21 Yeah my section is booked in for 4th October, but it's only 4 days before my due date so I'm praying she'll hold out 😆 she's currently sloshing between transverse/oblique and it's causing me some real issues with my PGP. My DD was overdue by a week though so hoping this one will copy her sister lol!! X

MissMarion · 24/08/2021 01:05

34+5 here and feeling pretty much done too...
I feel so huge, how much bigger can I seriously get? I just can't imagine it, with still 5 weeks to go...
I get tired from the simplest things (like turning in bed), everything feels like such a big effort now.
The nights are awful (I used to enjoy sleeping so much), between the insomnia, feeling hot and so uncomfortable, the crazy dreams, having to pee, my mind racing, and baby doing gymnastics in there. My GP put me on omeprazole so at least the heartburn got better.
I'm nauseous most of the time, but that's been going on since the beginning.
My hands and feet/legs really feel swollen although they don't look too bad.
What am I missing?? Oh yes, all the (not so) little aches and pains: belly, back, feet..
I could go on and on..
Hang in there @Ummm21 you're definitely not alone!

Bellyrumble · 24/08/2021 03:28

I’m 35 and a bit weeks abs no idea how I’m going to manage another month of this! So many people saying I’m massive, I’ll only go another two weeks blah blah…. Not helping!!

Glad the omeprazole is working for people I’ve recently been prescribed and waiting to feel the effects…. Is there a better time to take it (day or night?)
I’m currently battling the most horrendous heartburn I’ve had almost zero sleep ans up again in 3 hours Sad

LunaDreams · 24/08/2021 07:22

@Bellyrumble sorry to hear your omeprazole isn't working. Maybe speak to doctor and see if you can up your dose? I've started taking mine in the evening as I found the effects were beginning to wear off by night if I took it in the morning..it's been better since.

@Ummm21 definitely ask for omeprazole. It usually works wonders!

@WideOpenSpaces I'm due 30th Sept too! I'm clearly blocking out the fact you can go 2 weeks overdue as the thought is unbearable 🤣.

My new 'fun pregnancy symptom' is everything feeling swollen down below and like someone has kicked me down there. According to my MW it is all very normal and just my body preparing for birth...🙃

8dpwoah · 24/08/2021 07:28

Oh no @Bellyrumble my GP did tell me I could take it twice a day if I must (I'd definitely ring and double check, I was surprised he said it) morning and night but recommended taking it an hour or so before bed preferably.

You can take Gaviscon with it (after it) to get the 'capping the volcano' effect as well, he said. I got the feeling the GP I spoke to might have suffered from reflux himself as he was very clued up on tactics!

Veronika13 · 24/08/2021 07:39

I'm so jealous as I can't seem to get pregnant :(
Really do envy your position ladies, I'd swap with you all in a heartbeat 💗
You got this x
