I have what I think of as my bloat bump (made worse by fertility hormone meds that I only stopped at 12 weeks, plus constant carbs for nausea Grin) but lower down a hard little bump that I think is the real deal. Bloat bump is however the one that makes me look a little bit pregnant Wink

spttc · 28/07/2021 10:29

@IDontDrinkTea yeh once you've had one your abs are separated so they don't hold your belly in as well. I'm 13+2, first pregnancy so my stomach is flat as a pancake 😂👌 Iv seen some say on their first they didn't show until 16-18weeks. Suits me! 😂 @tinydancingbean the bloat is real. Mine has gone the past few days thank god I'm feeling better.

expectinglittlebear · 28/07/2021 10:53

Oh gosh, this is my first so should I be worrying that it looks like I've got a little bump already 👀 maybe it's just too many biscuits 😬😳 on the way to the scales...

@expectinglittlebear 😂😂😂😂😂 everyone is different! Last week I could have been 6 months pregnant with bloat 🙈

spttc · 28/07/2021 11:11

Suddenly find myself looking at baby clothes 😬 have refrained from buying loads of stuff. 1 dress that's it. Tempting tho! Need to wait for autumn winter for newborn stuff though for our January babies 😍

sociallydistained · 28/07/2021 12:11

I don’t know about a bump because I have quite a stomach lol. I had lost weight and was looking at my best in ages around March now I am massively bloated again and gained weight but that’s all due to my eating be all over the place and my exercise levels being down… I keep trying to combat it but it’s tricky lol. But yeah I just don’t know when I’ll see an actual bump or be able to tell the difference.

I’ve decided to log food today (not a diet but so I don’t go out of control) and do exercise so long may it continue 😬

spttc · 28/07/2021 13:04

@sociallydistained I'm trying to log my food too. I ate terribly week 6-11......literally lived on noodles & bread. So bad. And definitely too many sugary foods. Really bad. Whatever made me feel better at the time. Then I started thinking god I'll end up with gestational diabetes if I continue. I don't even know when you get that in pregnancy but I'm sort of trying my best now to eat better. Not a diet like you say but just logging food and keeping an eye on it 👌

ReginaaPhalange · 28/07/2021 13:04

Hi ladies, hope you're all well today.

Been a weird few hours! Was sleeping by 10:45 last night but woke up an hour later dripping in sweat on my chest and back of my head! Never ever had that before, I was soaked!!!

Felt so sick this morning and trying to be sick but nothing coming up, extreme hunger but feel sick as soon as I finish nibbling on a rich tea biscuit!! 13+3 today and hoping things ease soon!!

spttc · 28/07/2021 13:36

@ReginaaPhalange oh no! I'm 13+3 aswell. I felt AWFUL yesterday. Very sick. Not as bad as you with the sweating etc but awful. Iv seen a few saying the same so I don't think it's anything to worry about. My doctor says sometimes you start feeling worse around the 13-14 week mark and then it goes completely by week 16. Here's hoping! 🙏🙏🙏

I ended up going out for longer than I thought without lunch then bought a sandwich and …. A whole tub of pick n mix

spttc · 28/07/2021 19:13

@sociallydistained I was just coming on to let ya know I had McDonald's for dinner....so yeh safe to say the healthy eating js going swell 😅😂😂

I'm 14+1 on Monday so getting my Pfizer at last....(they only give them to pregnant women 14-36 weeks in Ireland)........ SO AFRAID 😱 But my consultant is practically begging me to get it. There's 22 people in Ireland in ICU with Covid at the moment (I know that seems tiny compared to uk) .....but 5 of that 22 people are pregnant women. In intensive care! Scary thought isn't it.

Jonesy88 · 28/07/2021 19:30

@spttc I’ve had a maccies today! Tbh it really perked me up.

Good luck with the vaccine, I know it’s everyone’s choice and I understand both sides but I have to say I’m relived I’ve had mine.

Jonesy88 · 28/07/2021 19:34

Also on the sickness front, I’ve been sick 4 times in the pregnancy (which I know is absolutely pitiful compared to some) but 3 of the 4 is this week. I feel the urge to gag such a lot which is what pushes me to be sick if I can’t control it. So strange. The only thing I can think of is that I was somehow blocking it before and now it’s past 12 weeks, I’m less anxious about things going wrong and people now know etc so I’m letting myself be ill. Stupid brain (and possibly/probably hormones)

spttc · 28/07/2021 20:02

@Jonesy88 yeh sometimes a McDonald's is called for. No regrets here!! 😍 you know jts funny my sickness was awful week 6-11. I was sick up to 20 times a day week 7-8 then was put on medication and it's maybe 1-2 times a day still but for me that's not bad 😂🙈 I have HG. Week 11-13+1 I was much better. Still on meds, no vomiting. Woke up 13+2..... and it was back! I think around this stage it comes back for a bit/slightly worsens. My doctor is saying it usually goes totally by week 16......but for some it's the entire pregnancy 🙈 hopefully not!

I had my second last week and hopefully all okay. I know it is scary! However my sister in laws father died of Covid yesterday and he was an anti vaxxer they all caught Covid at an event the other week. If anything puts it in perspective…

spttc · 28/07/2021 22:01

@sociallydistained oh no 🙈 it's terrible isn't it. Im so glad my parents both got vaccinated early on. My mum is 65 & a teacher so mixing with all those people daily! It wasn't great 😬 I'm committed now. Bring on Monday 💉💪

andreavesi · 29/07/2021 01:20

Please can I join? First time mum due on 19th January! 💕

spttc · 29/07/2021 08:43

@andreavesi yes welcome! Congrats 🎉 How have you been so far?

andreavesi · 29/07/2021 09:43

Thank you @spttc! ☺️ It's been a very tough first trimester, I am 15 weeks today and still feeling rough. I've been experiencing extreme exhaustion, queasiness, nausea and so much bloating. I am in shock as to how bad one can feel! It's so reassuring to read all the messages here, I wish I had joined Mumsnet earlier 😊
I'm just coming out of a tough week as I suffer from migraines. I got my first one during pregnancy and was unable to take any medication, which led me to vomiting, sleep deprivation, etc etc.
I am just praying that it will all get better soon, I know it will, just please please a bit faster!!
How have you been? I saw in a previous post you've been extremely sick, must have been awful!!!

spttc · 29/07/2021 10:08

@andreavesi yeh omggg the vomiting 🙈😂 the medication helps a lot im so grateful for it. The migraines sound awful. Iv only had 1 migraine in my life and it was terrible!! I wasn't pregnant so I could take everything for it and it was still so bad. Hopefully those ease off for you. 16 weeks is meant to be a turning point for a lot of people they start feeling better. Fingers crossed 🤞

andreavesi · 29/07/2021 10:18

@spttc 16 weeks, we're almost there!!! We can do this 💪🏻☺️ Love to everyone! 💕

sociallydistained · 29/07/2021 12:14

I had to stop halfway through my Les Mills workout today as felt I was going to be sick. It’s so hard to accept my new fitness levels 🤦🏻‍♀️ I used to be able to do so much now I’m just doing what I can. I wake up most days just feeling crap lol. I want to be glowing lol.

expectinglittlebear · 29/07/2021 12:54

@spttc @Jonesy88 ...May or may not have just got a maccies for lunch after seeing your posts before my lunch break... thanks girls 😍😍😋 Definitely was the food perk I needed today!

Screening results come back as low risk, and less than 1 in 10,000 chance of all three syndromes. This has definitely put my mind at rest now!
