It'd be lovely to chat to people in a similar situation!

Hey lovely @ClarenceTheCat

I’ve just found out too! I’m 4w 3d supposedly. Due mid March! But I’ve recently had a MMC (baby died @ 9w and only found out at 12w) so I am sooooooo nervous and anxious about this one. We got pregnant first cycle after MMC!

It’s still not sunk in we are pregnant again but I really hope this one works out 🤞🏻

Is this your first? X

ClarenceTheCat · 10/07/2021 20:05

Oh wow, I'm 4 + 5 today - so close our EDD must be pretty much the same 😆

I'm so sorry to hear about your MMC, I hope that you get through the next few weeks without too much worry. Have you been offered an early scan?

I get that, I took a test every day this week and after two BFP on CB digital Its starting to sink in. I also got a little babygro (Joules is my vice 🤦🏼‍♀️) which has really helped me see it as real!

This is my 2nd - I have a 4 year old too. Is this your first? X

Hey @ClarenceTheCat

Oh wow yes we are close as I am 4w 4d today!

Awww thank you. No haven’t been offered an early scan, although we’ve booked one with window to the womb for 7w to check there’s a heartbeat and it’s in the right place etc. Are you having an early scan or waiting til the NHS 12w?

Awwww haha! It’s all so exciting isn’t it!

Yes this is our first… awwww how lovely! X

JuneySunshine · 11/07/2021 00:38

Hello, can I join this happy bus?

I'm being a numpty and can't work out how you do the weeks, but plugged my possible conception date into a calculator and got March 22nd.

I've done a couple of FRERs and had positive but not blazing lines and showed my OH this morning who looked delighted but cautious (as am i tbf).
I've also told a friend today. Realise that's mad, but it was more in the context of telling her about my week (real rollercoaster as mistook implantation bleed for AF etc etc). Also its a big and normally very boozy catch up weekend and i didn't want to lie about the reason for not drinking although might have to get used to that!

If this one hangs on it will be my first. How are you both feeling symptom wise?

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 11/07/2021 07:41

Hey @JuneySunshine 👋🏻

Congrats!!!! Haha I usually do it from the first date of my LMP. Are you cautious as you’ve had MC/s before? Yes you definitely need to get used to making up excuses!

I feel absolutely fine (which is worrying as I also didn’t feel any symptoms at all last time ☹️) but unsure if it’s too early? how are you feeling?

DeadPapaToothwort · 11/07/2021 08:10

Hello! Tentatively joining, I’m 5 weeks 1 day and on a huge cocktail of drugs after 3 consecutive MCs. I really really really hope this is the one. I’ve known for a week and 1 day and it has been the longest week of my life! Fretting about absolutely everything. I’ve got a scan on the 19th when I’ll be 6 weeks 2 days. Desperately hoping to see something.

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 11/07/2021 08:15

@DeadPapaToothwort congrats! And welcome 👋🏻

Awwwww bless you!! What drugs you on May I ask? Have you been investigated due to the x3? I was debating starting baby aspirin (although I’ve only had 1 MC)…

Just over a week for you to wait! Not long! Hang in there x

DeadPapaToothwort · 11/07/2021 08:22

I have indeed, no definitive reason or issue was ever found, but I do having a family history of MC, stillbirth and blood clots. I’m on 150mg of aspirin, 40mg of clexane injection, 800mg of progesterone pessaries and prescription folic acid.

In terms of aspirin for you, it is very unlikely it would do any harm at the lowest dose of 75mg, but you could always check with your GP. Best of luck with your pregnancy Flowers

JuneySunshine · 11/07/2021 08:25

Thank you @AlwaysSeekingComfort and to you. So glad it's happened for you after your loss, that must have been really hard Flowers.

Using that method I'd be 5w6d but that's due to a long cycle. I think I conceived on something like June 27th (using OPKs).

Re the caution, no this is the first time, its more just being aware the first couple of months being most risky, and us just trying not to get carried away.

Symptom wise I've had quite a few- swollen boobs and one more than the other Hmm brief waves of nausea at odd times of day, and twinges and a kind of localised heat on the side I felt ovulation. I just think a range from nothing to everything must be normal.

Have you already contacted a doctor? I'm aware we're all ttc and quite prompt with our BFP so almost wondered whether to wait or just get on with it?

JuneySunshine · 11/07/2021 08:32

Hi @DeadPapaToothwort

And congratulations! I know what you mean, time just seems totally distorted when you have all this on your mind.

Best of luck with it Flowers

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 11/07/2021 08:36

@DeadPapaToothwort awww bless you! Well that combination sounds similar to others I’ve read! I hope it works for you 🤞🏻!!
And yes that’s what I was thinking, have had a lot of time to read and have read loads of people taking baby aspirin after one or two MC’s.
Thank you. Best of luck with yours too 💐

@JuneySunshine aww thank you. I’m a nervous wreck! Oh ok, it’s so exciting being the first time! Congrats again 💐
See I haven’t had any of that! Which makes me even more anxious 😩.

Erm its entirely up to you when you contact your GP…. My area you self refer to the hospital you want. Last time I self referred around 6 & a half/7 weeks once I had had my private scan to see if there was a heartbeat and it was in the right place etc.
This time I have self referred straight away (I think just because of the previous MC). Also I feel like if it happens again (touch wood it doesn’t) it would get recognised as a 2nd time and so would be closer to getting investigations should it happen a 3rd in the future.

JuneySunshine · 12/07/2021 09:27

Morning,

How's everyone feeling? And are you all managing to keep the worry monster at bay?

Frankly just the sight of a pregnancy test makes my heart want to jump out of my chest so I'm not doing anymore unless there's big change.
I'm having a lot of white CM so my main preoccupation is knicker-watching and worrying about seeing blood.

Hoping everyone is well x

newomums · 12/07/2021 10:06

Hi I'm joining in found out I was expecting after I kept feeling waves of nausea. Been trying for a a while. Due 15march !!

I have one Dc and have had 8 losses in total usually all around the 12 mark but a few of those there about 8 weeks so I'm a giant ball of nerves.

Been taking CQ10 baby, aspirin extra folic acid for moments in prep and I can't quite believe baby has stuck and we have hit gold.

Also I'm so nervous I have been testing daily (seeing the line progression) - I know I have a problem !!!

Anyone else getting nausea around now ? I had HG last time and I suspect it's coming back ... vomit 🤮 also before anyone suggest it ginger does not work for me 🥴🥴

newomums · 12/07/2021 10:08

I can sympathise. It's like I promise nothing to do one ... then I'm like ok I'm gonna do one !!

There's a calculator that helps show the percentage risks (which I can share if you like but I want to say it may make you worry more). I'm a data girl so it's reassuring for me but I realise not the case for everyone !

Ps how dark have your lines been - mine aren't as dark as I would have hoped by now 🥴🥴🥴

Ohh I haven't come across anyone else that has to have the progesterone pesscaries - do you feel like they make your symptoms worse because kind always feel heightened after them 🥴🥴🤮
Sunbird24 · 12/07/2021 10:12

I’m due 23 Mar 22, from my third ivf embryo transfer, but had MMCs on the last two attempts, miscarried at 9-10 weeks after scans at 8 weeks showed they’d not made it past about 6 weeks. Hoping this time’s the charm but terribly nervous.

twinkle36 · 12/07/2021 10:28

Hi I hope it's okay for me to joint in, I am 4w6d and due 15th march 2022 fell pregnant in January which unfortunately ended in miscarriage. Has anyone else experienced implanting bleeding? My period was due Tue 6th but I some brown discharge after sex which lasted a couple of days and one wipe of light pink the day my period was due. I got a positive test yesterday but can't stop thinking is it over before its began. Congratulations to everyone on the pregnancies!

twinkle36 · 12/07/2021 10:29

I forgot to say the brown discharge was 2/3 days before my period was due

JuneySunshine · 12/07/2021 10:31

Hi @newomums and congratulations!!

Sorry to hear about previous losses, it must be really difficult but sounds like you've got everything covered in terms of vitamins etc.

I totally understand about the tests. My line's were ok, like pale, but undeniably there- not much different between DPO 10 and 12 (roughly!). I've seen lots of posts with worries about line progression and don't want to go there, also I don't have any more in the house so that helps!

I don't think I do want to look at the risk calculator- though others might? Although I probably would want to look if I was at a stage where I suspected a lot of the early risk had passed Smile

I'm nauseous but in brief waves, so it's not really affecting eating etc. because it passes quickly.

@Sunbird24
Hi and congratulations! Our dates are one day apart. Sorry about previous attempts and best of luck for this time. Is there more monitoring with IVF? Is it just waiting for that 8 week scan?

JuneySunshine · 12/07/2021 10:42

Hi @twinkle36
Firstly, congratulations! And sorry to hear about your loss at the beginning of the year, it must make this worrying.

I had a similar situation to you. Thread about it here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4290594-Oh-come-ON-if-your-coming-period-or-implantation-bleed?msgid=108860019#108860019
But briefly-
June 26th/ 27th- Ovulated and dtd lots in the window and felt hopeful
July 6th - started with brown discharge when I wiped and cramping
July 8th- no AF and BFP
July 10th- another BFP

Now fairly sure it was implantation bleeding, it went on for about 3 days but never any real quantity. I think I read 1/4 people get it so not at all uncommon.
Do think it was increased by anxiety around knicker-watching a bit though Hmm

JuneySunshine · 12/07/2021 10:45

Sorry *has increased my anxiety

DeadPapaToothwort · 12/07/2021 10:50

@newomums my lines aren’t as dark as I would have thought they should be. They’re equal with the control line, but I would have expected them to be darker than the control line now at 5+2. This is just yet another thing I’m fretting about.

I have had absolutely no nausea so far which also worries me, and barely any symptoms at all really so it’s not any worse after the pessaries. I have slightly sore boobs, but less than they sometimes are in the lead up to AF. I am really tired, I napped nearly every afternoon last week ( I WFH Blush) but that could just be general tiredness because I keep waking up really early panicking that I’ve started to bleed overnight. I’m so worried by my lack of symptoms!

I have a scan next Monday and I just know it’s going to be the longest week of my life. The stress is appalling.

twinkle36 · 12/07/2021 11:02

Hi juney, thank you very much for your reply and congratulations! I've just had a quick read of your thread and it helped massively! It does sound like a very similar situation. It's so hard not to automatically think the worst when you see blood, I have no one to talk to in Rl so it feels like a massive weight to be able to speak to others going through similar situations

Sunbird24 · 12/07/2021 11:27

Hi Juney, there hasn’t been so far, just let them know when I get a BFP and they book the scan. They’ve got me on cyclogest pessaries twice daily and lubion injections every other day, and I may ask my GP for a referral to Tommy’s as I’ve previously had a miscarriage from a natural conception as well, giving me the ‘magic’ 3.
I know the risk calculator you mentioned, looked at it a lot last time and it was quite comforting but obviously didn’t make any difference in the end. I’m 43 though so sure my age has quite a big impact!

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 12/07/2021 11:44

Hey all,

Welcome the new ladies…. Congrats on your BFP’s. It’s all so exciting but nerve wracking. It’s nice though we are all due around the same time and so can support eachother through this magical but scary ride.

FYI I also do not have any symptoms! I didn’t with my MMC so this is why I am terrified…

Anyway I’m sending all the baby luck over to you ladies and hope these are successful pregnancies for us. 💐✨

Interested to know the risk calculator? Is there a link for it? X
