I've just found out Im pregnant - due Mid March next year so literally only 4 weeks. Dying to tell people already 🤦🏼‍♀️ anybody else in a similar boat? Who have you told how did you announce it?

It'd be lovely to chat to people in a similar situation!

That’s great news @DeadPapaToothwort, fingers crossed for next week’s scan!

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 12:16

Thank you all Flowers

whenlifegivesyoulemonss · 19/07/2021 09:34

Hi everyone Smile hope you are all feeling great!! Found out last week I am pregnant with first baby. Due around the end of march Halo So excited and can’t wait to be able to go for a scan 🌈❤️

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 09:54

@DeadPapaToothwort I'm 6 weeks today and have had some cramping and now spotting! I'm so worried this could be the start of my second miscarriage, but trying to keep positive based on your story. My early scan is this Friday and it can't come soon enough 😭

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 19/07/2021 09:56

@whenlifegivesyoulemonss congrats lovely 💐 welcome aboard the March due train! It’s so exciting isn’t it!

I hope everyone is well too and getting on ok? I still have zero symptoms apart from a dodgy tummy and should be 6w tomorrow. I have a scan booked for a week today where I am praying I’ll see a heartbeat to settle my nerves a little bit x

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 09:56

Sorry @DeadPapaToothwort forgot to ask, how long was your spotting for? Mine began a couple of days ago very light, this morning more red but still light and only when I wipe (sorry TMI), no clots either. I'm panicking

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 19/07/2021 09:57

@Ell17 sending positive vibes lovely. Spotting is very common and so is cramping. Hope your scan comes around quick to put your mind at ease x

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 09:58

@AlwaysSeekingComfort thank you! ♥️ hope your scan goes well too. This week is going to draaaaaag!

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 19/07/2021 10:01

@Ell17 🤍 Tell me about it!!!!! Time goes so slowwwww! Keep us updated this week with the spotting but pls try not to panic x

DeadPapaToothwort · 19/07/2021 10:04

@Ell17 I’m sorry to hear this lovely. I so hope that you are okay. The stress is unbelievable isn’t it. Sending you all my best wishes.

I had two spots of light brown at 11am and the same again at 4pm on the one day, at 5 weeks 2 days. EPU scanned me the next morning because I’ve had 3 MCs and I’m on a huge cocktail of drugs.

But, I don’t want it to worry you further that perhaps my spotting was less than yours. We are all so different, and as the others say, spotting is common in early pregnancy. The EPU sonographer couldn’t find a reason for my spotting, but she did say that spotting is particularly common in week 5.

Very best of luck, let us know how you get on Flowers

DeadPapaToothwort · 19/07/2021 10:05

@Ell17 I would call EPU and ask them to see you sooner. It says on the NHS website that any bleeding in pregnancy should be checked. It’ll be hard waiting all week Flowers

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 10:18

@DeadPapaToothwort Thank you for that info ♥️ when I had my last miscarriage, they also found a subchorionic haematoma which was the cause of some of the bleeding, and I do wonder if I've got it again. I almost don't want to have a scan too early because last time I was dated back constantly and I was in limbo for about 3 weeks, it was awful. If it continues/gets heavier I may call them 😖 so frustrating

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 10:34

Also last time I called EPU they would only see me if I had specifically passed clots, which I haven't. They're very particular. Xx

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 11:32

I called EPU and they're so busy they couldn't fit me in until Fri anyway, and they'd need a referral from GP. So I'm just going to wait for private scan 🙏🏻🤞🏻 xx

whenlifegivesyoulemonss · 19/07/2021 11:38

@Ell17 my friend went through similar around 5.5 weeks and she was sure she had lost her pregnancy but a scan a week later showed a baby with a heartbeat 💛.. fingers crossed you are the same lovely ❤️ X

whenlifegivesyoulemonss · 19/07/2021 11:40

@AlwaysSeekingComfort thank you ☺️

I guess you might start to get some symptoms in the next week or so I read 6 weeks onwards is common.. exciting times!! And congrats to you too 🌈 X

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 11:44

@whenlifegivesyoulemonss Congratulations to you 🎉 and thank you, that's so reassuring! I have heard a lot of positive stories and I do try and stay optimistic, it's just hard sometimes you know. Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy ♥️ x

whenlifegivesyoulemonss · 19/07/2021 11:51

@Ell17 stay strong and keep us all updated.. and thank you lovely ❤️

You are all so kind, so glad I joined this little group ☺️ X

Deedee08 · 19/07/2021 12:39

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone have any info on pharmacies in the UK that accept foreign prescription. I had IVF abroad and I didn't get enough progesterone to last the 1st 12 weeks before leaving
I called my GP today and unfortunately I was told they can't prescribe progesterone.

I am so stressed and scared, anyone here had IVF and taking progesterone?

My clinic in Poland is happy to give a prescription will the pharmacies in the UK accept it?

I am using Crinone and Luteina 50mg

Any advice is welcomed. Thank you

Ell17 · 19/07/2021 14:13

Hi @Deedee08 I used to work in Pharmacy. As far as i recall, they will accept foreign prescriptions but I'm not sure if we an get like for like on the brand of drugs you mentioned. The pharmacy will have to check that the prescriber is correct etc, but then I'm not sure what will happen after that. I don't recognise those drug names. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Good luck!! Xx

Deedee08 · 19/07/2021 14:18

Hi @Ell17, thank you

I believe my clinic is changing my prescription to a drug available in the UK, utrogestan.

DeadPapaToothwort · 19/07/2021 14:20

This probably isn’t very helpful @Deedee08 but my GP prescribed progesterone for me, literally today, on the basis that there is a consultant’s letter on my medical records saying that I should be prescribed it for any future pregnancies. I have heard that GPs can be reluctant to prescribe it though, but I would have thought as long as you have some proof that you need it or that you’ve been prescribed it before that should help. Good luck!

DeadPapaToothwort · 19/07/2021 14:21

I should have said, I’m taking progesterone pessaries, Cyclogest 400mg

Deedee08 · 19/07/2021 14:36

@deadPapatoothwort Thanks I had cyclogest when I had my 1st IVF and I found some in the fridge and threw it out 2 weeks ago lol
Hopefully my I will find a pharmacy willing to accept the polish prescription

whenlifegivesyoulemonss · 19/07/2021 15:39

@Deedee08 I wonder could you ask to speak with another GP in the practice? I find some some of the gps at my practice to be really helpful and others not so much lol. Hope you get it sorted x
