Pregnant after third miscarriage...

Hey everyone! I've just found out I'm pregnant after 3 consecutive miscarriages. We recently found out as well that the 3rd miscarriage was actually a partial molar, so I'm quite nervous about that happening again....I guess I'm just looking for positive stories to try and keep me looking on the bright side! When I'm making plans for a few months, I keep thinking, it won't matter I probably won't be pregnant anymore anyway.

Praying this is the one! I'm also on progesterone pesseries this time around, despite knowing that it's unlikely they will do anything! I had the usual round of testing too which came back normal....which is good I guess, just wish there was a reason!

Anyway feel free to join and and chat and we can support each other! 🌈🌈🤞

Oh no @DeadPapaToothwort I'm so sorry this is happening. What a horrible worry for you. Desperately hoping this is just one of those things and not what you fear, but I do understand when you just 'know' that others' optimism isn't always helpful. Sending you lots of love xx

DeadPapaToothwort · 14/07/2021 21:17

Thank you @treesall Flowers

I haven’t had any spotting since 4pm yesterday although the cramps carried on all evening. My boobs no longer hurt at all which for me is usually a very bad sign. I had these tests this morning though. On Tuesday afternoon I was still on 2-3. I don’t know what to think at all. I have a scan at gynaecology this morning. I feel like I’ve already started grieving.

@DeadPapaToothwort How many weeks along are you now?

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 07:05

5 weeks 5 days. 6 weeks on Saturday. I’m not sure that they’ll be able to see much.

treesall · 15/07/2021 07:07

Best of luck with your scan today @DeadPapaToothwort. I'll be thinking of you and my fingers are crossed.

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 07:09

Thank you! @treesall Flowers

treesall · 15/07/2021 07:13

I'm still on 2-3 today 7 days after my first 2-3 so not feeling too positive this mornjng :-(

HeyyyItsMe · 15/07/2021 07:17

@DeadPapaToothwort I'm so sorry to hear, hope you're doing okay this morning. Best of luck for your scan today, what time is it at?

@treesall If you check the accuracy of the weeks indicator I think it's something silly like 70% or 80%! Try not to worry about the weeks. Have you taken normal tests to compare lines? I always try to stop when I get a clear dark line because it can take over, comparing darkness 🙈 but I know how hard it is to want that reassurance too.

@treesall I’m sorry to hear that, it’s so difficult isn’t it Flowers we’re all really going through so much.

@HeyyyItsMe it’s at 9.45, thank you for asking. I’ll let you all know how it goes, but I’m not feeling very hopeful. I hope I’m wrong, I desperately want to be proved wrong!

treesall · 15/07/2021 08:01

Thanks @HeyyyItsMe. I know they're not fully 100% accurate but it's another thing where it progressed exactly as it should on my successful pregnancy and hasn't in any of the miscarriages - it's always taken a bit longer or been a few days late to change. Grrrrr!! Yes the lines on cheapies have been going darker but they've stayed the same for the last few days. They're fairly dark though so I can't be certain whether it's just that or whether the hcg is levelled off and not increasing.

@DeadPapaToothwort I'm glad you haven't got to wait all day. I would always always choose a morning scan if possible! x

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 10:43

Measuring 5 weeks 3 days, which is 2 days behind my LMP. There was only a yolk sac visible, but there’s something there and I’ve never had a picture before.

Cautiously hoping this is the one. Fingers crossed number 4 is the one I get to take home.

That's encouraging news @DeadPapaToothwort. 2 days behind is nothing! Everything crossed for you. Are you going back for a follow up scan any time? x

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 11:10

A week today Flowers

treesall · 15/07/2021 11:24

@DeadPapaToothwort that's good. I know from experience that it is the slowest week ever though. I hope you have lots of fun plans to keep yourself busy. My scan is next Friday and it feels like forever away. I kinda want it to hurry up but equally don't want it because I know it's fairly likely they will give me bad news and it'll all be over x

Sunny56 · 15/07/2021 11:32

@DeadPapaToothwort I hope you see a little baby in your next scan, how exciting! ❤️

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 12:17

Thank you all so much ❤️

DeadPapaToothwort · 15/07/2021 12:23

@treesall very best of luck for next Friday. Got everything crossed for you x

Mammyofasuperbaby · 15/07/2021 15:56

That is good news @DeadPapaToothwort. 2 days is nothing as implantation has a 4 day window (I think).
I was moved 8 days back for my last pregnancy and he's currently licking my leg Hmm
Fingers crossed for your next scan

DeadPapaToothwort · 16/07/2021 10:52

Thinking ahead (very cautiously), when are you ladies planning to tell your family and friends about your pregnancies?

My immediately family know about my miscarriages, but DH’s family don’t and no friends either.

I want to leave it until at least 20 weeks to tell anyone. We live hours away from everyone so they won’t find out accidentally. But DH thinks 20 weeks is too late. I’m just so so cautious because of the previous losses, and I feel that because of the huge cocktail of medication I’ll have to take right up until the very end, it’s still so risky all the way through.

What are your plans?

treesall · 16/07/2021 11:32

@DeadPapaToothwort gosh, I haven't really thought that far. It feels so unlikely I'll get to that point...

I have told my mum about this latest pregnancy, and two close friends who know all about my miscarriages and treatment, and ask for weekly updates! Our first babies were born around the same time, and we were all pregnant at the same time last year, but they now both have babies! DH's family know about my first miscarriage but that's it. I wouldn't want them or anyone else to know until at least 16 weeks I think.

HeyyyItsMe · 17/07/2021 09:48

@DeadPapaToothwort that is super news!! So happy for you that it went well! Are you getting a follow up? I'm so nervous for mine next Thursday, what will be, will be, but optimistic we will have lucky #4 this time too. My nausea has subsided somewhat the past few days but still have adversions, sore boobs and gag ocassionaly at random foods so hoping all is well 🤣🙈 it's hard not to be paranoid eh?? How are you feeling?
We will tell our parents if all is well next Thursday, and possibly 15 weeks or so for everyone else. I work with children with complex additional support needs so I can't really hide it from work as I have to be careful it's not a health and safety risk! Usually my work are the first to know but luckily it's the summer holidays!

@DeadPapaToothwort @HeyyyItsMe how are you today? Hope you both had good weekends.

I'm 99.9% certain I will mc. I don't feel pregnant at all. Still zero symptoms. Rather worried because it's identical to my partial molar, And I do notttt want to go through that again!
