Anyone else due March 2022?

I've done about 10 tests over the past few days and can now confidently say I'm pregnant! Due 1 March according to the NHS calculator.

Feeling ok so far, just tired and a bit queasy. It's my second pregnancy so a bit less of a novelty than last time! And my toddler is keeping me too busy to think much about it Grin

Anyone else in the same boat? Care to join me for a discussion of our slowly bloating ankles, rising heartburn, fluttering bumps over the next few months? Smile

@AliceTheCamelHasFiveHumps, aw gosh the tiredness I know, I’m always napping lol. much different to my 4th pregnancy thou. Didn’t feel as tired. Have you got any morning sickness?

LittleChilliBean · 24/07/2021 20:51

@LittleChilliBean

I had an early scan this week and saw a tiny heartbeat! They were unsure whether I had my dates right so wanted to be sure that I wasn't later than I thought!
Oops, I was meant to be replying to someone's question about early scans! Not just talking about myself and ignoring other comments! Can you tell I'm new here?
Cass36 · 24/07/2021 20:57

@LittleChilliBean. ah ok, sorry, lol nah your ok, you will soon get the hang of things. Just blame it on pregnancy brain lol.

@effieceff I thought about the Pfizer jab a lot whilst we were TTC. In the end I'd have had my second jab when I was about 4 weeks (although at that point I hadnt done a test so wasnt sure). I decided that there was reasonably good evidence that the jab did no harm (similar to getting a flu jab) and very good evidence that getting COVID later on in pregnancy can be really bad. In a way I kinda thought, I have a chance with the jab to prevent something nasty happening (like increased risk of ventilation/stillbirth in third trimester), I did also think about whether in the future something dodgey would come out about the jab and I'd regret it, but I decided on balance there is currently no evidence of this fear, so it doesnt outweigh the first...But as others have said it's a super tough choice and it's one only you can make for yourself. Sorry for the essay, you can tell I thought about this for a while!

I am just really worried about miscarrying as I have taken 3 years to conceive! Any other opinions are welcome!

On a separate note, when is best to A) tell your GP you are pregnant and B) get an early scan?

Cluelost · 24/07/2021 22:12

Oh also, no problems having the jab itself, barely noticed it.

I told my local midwifery team like the Monday after having a positive test. I think tell your GP straight away :)

I havent had an early scan (7 weeks), this is my first and a bit of a surprise, Id never heard of an early scan before this chat... I guess I've just been trying my best to chill out and go on as usual whilst its early days, I thought a scan might just stress me out tbh hahaha (I think they are meant to be reassuring)

CorpusCallosum · 25/07/2021 17:31

Glad I'm not the only one feeling sooooo tired. I literally slept all day yesterday 🙈 poor DH is picking up all the parenting of DD and she keeps crying for mummy, she comes in for a cuddle but I just don't have the 'play' in me that I did a couple of months ago. I'm already feeling like half a mum to her 😢

H8theW8 · 25/07/2021 19:20

@effieceff you might not need to contact your GP. In most areas you can self refer to your local midwifery team and they will send you your booking appointment and first scan date. This can be done as soon as you get a positive test. Check you GPs website, that should have details on how to refer to Midwife Services.

I'm having my second Pfizer vaccine a week tomorrow, i'll be 7+1. Personally, not having it wasn't even a consideration.

I had an early/reassurance scan at 8 weeks in my last pregnancy and have booked one for when I'll be 8+4 this time. Most private clinic won't scan you until you are at least 8 weeks. Some will do it at 6 weeks but it'll be transvaginal and you risk not seeing a heartbeat due to early gestation and it causing unnecessary worry. Best to wait until you're 8 (or at least 7) weeks in my opinion.

None yet. 🤞

Cluelost · 26/07/2021 14:39

How is everyone? Im 7.5 weeks, and the exhaustion has really kicked in. Good thing I'm WFH because I've barely done anything, feel like I'm gunna fall asleep constantly :s I don't think I've ever been this tired...

Cass36 · 26/07/2021 18:00

@AliceTheCamelHasFiveHumps, ah that’s good then. Keep fingers crossed.

Cass36 · 26/07/2021 18:06

@Cluelost, well I’m ok plodding along lol, yes I know the tiredness is something else. I’m also napping all time.

treesall · 27/07/2021 09:25

Hi ladies, can I very cautiously join you? I'm 6+6 with what I hope will be my second child, but it's my 6th pregnancy, having had 4 early losses in the last year. I'm under a recurrent miscarriage specialist who scanned me on Friday. Size was ok but hb was a little slow so not sure this is going to work out. My symptoms are very mild and not getting worse so that's not filling me with hope either! But I'm trying to be optimistic, so here I am. Due date would be mid March.

AureliaRose · 28/07/2021 18:11

Hope you are all well. I have some sad news. Currently miscarrying at 5 weeks and 5 days. Totally devastated and in a great deal of pain. Have a scan at the hospital tomorrow to check it's not ectopic. First time being pregnant and feeling very low.

H8theW8 · 29/07/2021 15:42

@AureliaRose I'm so sorry to hear your news 😔 it must be heartbreaking. Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery! Take care x

H8theW8 · 29/07/2021 15:43

Anyone else with an insatiable thirst? I'm drinking loads of water but it's just not cutting it! Any suggestions on how to quench it would be gratefully received!

The midwives told me that this was common, and can sometimes be helped by drinking sparkling water or other fizzy drinks. She said sometimes water just doesn't quench the thirst! Good luck
YYY85 · 29/07/2021 16:48

9 weeks and nausea has well and truly hit. Nauseous if I eat and nauseous if I done so can't win. Anyone else feeling this?

H8theW8 · 29/07/2021 17:40

@koreilly thank you ☺️ I've got caffeine free coke and Pepsi max but can't really stomach them. Not a fan of fizzy water but I'll give it a go 👍🏼

Robivan · 31/07/2021 18:47

Hi hope everyone's well. Hope im OK posting.

I'm due 3rd march 2022, 3rd baby 4th pregnancy. After a MC Dec 2019 had no periods and been on fertility treatment a very wanted 3rd baby.

Had a cheeky reassurance scan last week baby was 9 weeks exactly at that point and had a heart beat all looking good. Can't wait till 12 weeks to tell my 2 children.

Detta123 · 31/07/2021 19:14

@Robivan I'm also due on the 3rd of March after ivf treatment.

I've got a reassurance scan booked for 10 weeks.

How are you feeling? My sickness has definitely calmed down over the last few days xx

MissL85 · 02/08/2021 09:18

I'm due on the 2nd of March but waiting for dating scan at the end of the month for confirmation. When I had my early scan at nearly 9 weeks they thought I was a few days more than I thought I was. They said this isn't fully accurate until then.

Cluelost · 02/08/2021 09:46

Hi everyone, hope you're all okay. Really sorry to hear of your MC @AureliaRose, devastating news and all too common.

Tired since week 4 and it doesn't seem to be shifting as reach week 10 on Wednesday. Feeling light-headed and dizzy as well. Sometimes water makes me queasy.
