Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

I'm getting light headed, if I stand up quickly I often have to sit back down because of the headrush!

rainfrog21 · 04/07/2021 10:41

@TTCSOLO I never wear wired bras as don't like the feeling so can make a strong recommendation for the M&S Sumptuously Soft non wired range - they are pretty and still give good support and the fabric is really really soft, reasonably priced. The knickers in sale range are pretty and comfy also. Xx

Elune · 04/07/2021 10:45

I haven't been able to wear wired bras since my last pregnancy. I realised then how uncomfy they are! H&M do nursing vests with inbuilt support that I used even when not pregnant as I found them so comfy.

Shiftima · 04/07/2021 11:09

When you get 3+ on a digital, what does that actually mean?

Kaytay · 04/07/2021 11:12

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. Just found out yesterday we are expecting no.2 I don't think it has really sunk in yet. I am desperate to tell my mum as she is like my best friend but my OH thinks we should wait. I know its probably been discussed numerous times but what is everyone's thoughts on the covid vaccine, I have had my first dose prior to being pregnant but will be due the second one in a few weeks, in two minds whether to get ot or wait a bit longer as it is still very early. X

Neom87 · 04/07/2021 11:19

@shiftima it means you are 3 weeks plus since ovulation, so 5 weeks plus in hospital dating terms

toadstool32 · 04/07/2021 11:21

I think I'm due somewhere between 7-10th March depending if going by ovulation or lmp! I think it makes me 4+3 so will pray for a 3+ in the next few days. Zero symptoms apart from needing a sleep mid afternoon and a wee during the night!

I have been looking into the vaccine. I'm meant to be getting it at 9 weeks, which will be my second dose. As I am now classed as clinically vulnerable, and I work as a teacher in a school where the virus is rife right now, and there's talk of problems in the third trimester, I have decided not to cancel my appointment right now. The benefits of me getting it definitely outweigh any negatives.
Upsideandundergarments · 04/07/2021 11:23

@miaulin we're at exacty the same stage, 5 weeks today. I'm booking in for a private scan at 6+5. It's on the earlier side that what I would have liked but DH is away for work after that for a while so we wanted to know if there was anything wrong so we could factor it into the plans. These boards have been helpful with making sure my expectations are right for a scan that early. Heartbeat and I'm happy.

@MissL85 totally agree on the cramps. I was having some quite painful ones but tweaked the diet and they seemed to have calmed down.

intheheights · 04/07/2021 11:55

How has everyone calculated their due dates? From the first day of their last period or ovulation? If I go from the first day of my last period my due date is 28th Feb and if I go from ovulation date it is 4th March. Not sure which one I should be going by for scans etc.

SSH27 · 04/07/2021 12:05

@Neom87 I'm as that's not just me. I think that's been the worse part, random episodes of dizziness!

@TTCSOLO I bought some maternity bras from amazon as my boobs are massive and hurting and they are so cute! They look like sports bras/crop tips and weren't that expensive.

@intheheights I did it from last period as I don't actually know when my ovulation was. But I will be due on 3rd March!

Also congratulations everyone on their BFP 🤰

SSH27 · 04/07/2021 12:06

🤦🏾

toadstool32 · 04/07/2021 12:21

@intheheights I ovulated cd12 which makes me due date 7th March, lmp makes it 10th March

Shortmamashortcycles · 04/07/2021 13:08

@intheheights, I'd go with whichever you like for now, although I'd expect the ov date to be more accurate (it was with my first).

One of the key reasons for the 12 week scan is to adjust your due date, so they aren't expecting you to be dead on 12 weeks. They try to do it between 11 and 14 weeks, so if you go and find out the baby is bit ahead or behind where you thought, it's usually not a problem.

Fiep · 04/07/2021 19:33

Hi all, can I join? I’ve had three days of BFPs and would be due March 17. I already have a nearly 2.5yo. Will definitely look up the Facebook group so long as it’s private as I’ve loved the support from my Facebook group when I had dd1.

I’m also planning an early scan, when’s the best time? 7 weeks?

Thanks for having me and hoping all of our beans are sticky x

maisiedaisy64 · 04/07/2021 21:53

@Kaytay we’ve decided to hold off on the vaccine a while, because I would like more definitive research on the effects on pregnancy. That being said, we live rurally in a lowly populated area and both work from home so our contacts are normally quite low. A lot of our extended family that we would interact with have been vaccinated. I think everyone’s circumstances are different, and I think concerns are justified.

On a different note, is anyone considering going for midwife led care? I know it’s early days but just realised yesterday this could be an option for me and it really appeals!

hellointhere · 04/07/2021 22:53

Hello and Congratulations all! I found out I'm pregnant on Friday. I'm going to buy a test tomorrow that shows you how many weeks, and I'm going to call my GP too! I'm 31, this is my first and I'm mostly really excited!

Fiep · 05/07/2021 07:09

Hi everyone and congrats! @hellointhere s comment made me think: At what point do people call their GPs? I’m so early as I’m only 3+5 or something! I might wait until after AF was supposed to come plans if it’s still positive then I’ll call. Ditto for the 7 week reassurance scan.

Kaytay · 05/07/2021 07:31

Good morning all! What is everyone's symptoms so far? I know its still very early but I am a constant worrier and it goes through the roof in pregnancy 🙃. I have had the sorest boobs until this morning and woke up with no pain/tenderness, has this happened to anyone else, does it come and go?

Also can anyone help, how do I reply/tag previous messages. Xxx

Are you in the UK? By default your care will be midwife-led unless you are high risk and need to be overseen by a consultant. Midwife-led care is the norm here! If you are in the US, though, it's very different, I know.

I called GP around six weeks last time for a referral to midwife and will do same this time I think. Some places let you self refer to midwife team online so worth checking so you don't have the faff of going through the GP if you don't need to!

Lilypad121 · 05/07/2021 09:54

Hi @Kaytay I'm an anxious person too and it's definitely increased since I found out last weekend! It's also my first so and we were TTC for 5 years so that doesn't help with the pressure! I'm watching all my symptoms too but from reading other threads on here I think it's common enough for symptoms to come and go intermittently in the early weeks. Ive been peeing loads most days but some days not so much, I was a bit nauseous over the weekend but feel ok this morning, my boobs have been sore for the last 4 days but that might change. I wouldn't obsess too much if possible or you'll drive yourself mad, I'm just trying to enjoy bring pregnant! Smile

To reply and quote someone you press the little dots to the right of their post and the options should come up, and to tag just type the @ on your keyboard and start typing their username and you'll find them!

Neom87 · 05/07/2021 10:29

@Fiep I will self refer to mudwifea fter I have passed rhe 6 weeks mark, I called them at 5+3 last time and then miscarried, so mentally I need to get passed 6 weeks - which will be tomorrow.

@kaytay I think it's normal for symptoms to come and go from reading the boards.

Cuwins · 05/07/2021 10:55

Today I have a constant dull ache low down in my abdomen. Anyone else experienced this?

TTCSOLO · 05/07/2021 11:25

Thanks @SSH27 and @rainfrog21 for your recommendations, will definitely need to invest. I wasn't sure if it was too early, but I actually can't stick it any longer! I ended up buying a maternity/nursing one locally yesterday, it's OK for the minute but will definitely need more options 🙂

Dumbler · 05/07/2021 11:45

None of my clothes fit. I’ve had to dig out a pair of maternity leggings from years ago. So comfortable!
