@InDreamland hey, it was ok thanks but underestimated just how bored I'd be sitting there for 2 hours!! Felt a bit crap and tired afterwards but otherwise ok.... they said they'll only be in touch if it's a positive result so should hear within the week if so. I wish they'd just tell you either way! Oh well. Fingers crossed all okay x

InDreamland · 15/07/2021 20:24

@pixiedust21 glad it was okay. Haha, yeah the 2 hours can be boring. I spent it on my phone chatting, surfing MN and online shopping then answering emails on my work phone. Hopefully your midwife gets the results and will let you know either way.

pixiedust21 · 19/07/2021 16:56

Well I still haven't had a call back about my GTT so got everything crossed it's fine....

How's everyone coping with the heat?

I emailed about getting added to the WhatsApp group but haven't heard anything so still just using this haha.

I'm a bit worried I'm not feeling huge movements yet with baby - I'm 25 weeks and I have been feeling definite "things" but not where I'd go - oh yes that's definitely a kick. More like random rolling feelings or like when your tummy kind of drops? It's really hard to explain!!

Just wonder if I should be feeling more than that, not sure if having a high BMI has anything to do with it as there's more cushioning... ha.

InDreamland · 19/07/2021 17:26

@pixiedust21 fingers crossed it's a normal result! When is your next midwife appointment? Or could you just phone your midwife as they should get the result through. It'd at least hopefully put your mind at rest. Definately also ask about the movements. Main thing is you do feel them and start to recognise a pattern. Do you have an anterior placenta? That can sometimes affect how you feel movements.

pixiedust21 · 19/07/2021 17:59

@InDreamland my next midwife apt is in just over 2 weeks. I'll see if I hear anything this week, and then maybe give a quick call.

Yes I do have an anterior placenta actually so I guess that could impact it. I definitely do feel movements though and for example I know that I most often feel them in the evenings so I guess that's a reassuring pattern. :)

Wish I could just have a camera to look in there whenever! Grin although maybe that would be worse haha.

Ditsyross · 19/07/2021 18:01

Hi everyone. How's everyone doing. First time I'm posting here. First time pregnant at 43 with a boy and 26 weeks at today. Feels like everything worries me at the moment. Got my GTT on Wednesday and based on all the comments here I'll defo be taking a big fat book with me

JGthistle · 19/07/2021 21:22

Hi Ditsyross ... I'm 43 as well, first pregnancy, having a boy and just over 26 weeks. Snap lol. Hope you're keeping well?

InDreamland · 19/07/2021 22:55

@pixiedust21 me too, my own personal scan machine would be great. It's great toy can feel movements and a pattern. Oh and lovely to now have you on the WhatsApp group.

@Ditsyross hello and congrats on your pregnancy. Hope your GTT goes well in Wednesday.

Ditsyross · 19/07/2021 23:01

@JGthistle that's awesome. Do you live in Glasgow too ?. Now that would be just too much of a coincidence 😂

Ditsyross · 19/07/2021 23:02

@pixiedust21 I'd like one of those cameras too. Beats overthinking everything all tge time 😂

JGthistle · 20/07/2021 08:07

@Ditsyross ... not far off, I'm in Paisley 😂 that's crazy!

Hey all! Just wondering if there's a link to the private Facebook group?

For the Facebook group you need to message @PumpkinEverything and she can add you

Aki21 · 22/07/2021 20:48

Hello lovely ladies! Hope everyone is coping ok with the hot weather!

Just wondering if anyone is based in London and if so, what antenatal courses have you registered for?

Thank you!

JuicyGreenApple · 22/07/2021 21:41

@Missreginafalange I messaged her a few months ago and was never added :(

Rmka · 22/07/2021 22:25

@Aki21

Hello lovely ladies! Hope everyone is coping ok with the hot weather!

Just wondering if anyone is based in London and if so, what antenatal courses have you registered for?

Thank you!

Hi :), I'm in London and signed up for one of the NCT courses in September. I also tried Bump & Baby Club, but these were sold out (and that was 2 months ago).

The hospital I'm giving birth in only offers online classes and I can only book them in few weeks.

Aki21 · 23/07/2021 15:25

Thanks @Rmka! I’ve seen that Bump & Baby club is very popular, not that many options left for west London as far as my research goes so might end up going for the online NCT course in Sept.

Which hospital are you registered with?

Jelliestogether · 23/07/2021 21:52

@Pumpkineverything can we still join the Facebook?

PumpkinEverything · 23/07/2021 22:31

@Jelliestogether yes I can still add you 😊 we’re only accepting new people for another while and then we’ll stop as we want to make sure everyone has privacy once the babies are born as photos will be shared and the group is private. If you just PM me your name on fb and a description of your profile photo I can add you as a friend and add you in!

Rmka · 24/07/2021 06:25

@Aki21, I'm at North Middlesex, how about you?

I've heard good things about both. NCT are more expensive, but you get more hours.

Aki21 · 24/07/2021 07:18

Thanks @Rmka! My initial appointments were at St Mary’s then was referred to Queen Charlotte for additional scans. Need to check with the hospital if offering any courses. Will probably go with NCT, the only problem is that I couldn’t find anything local for the F2F course (all venues pretty far from where I’m based), hence thinking of the online option.

Rmka · 24/07/2021 17:24

The online seems good too, there's a video showing what it looks like. But possibly your hospital will have something on offer for free. I hope you'll find a good option :)

Jessica86Shropshire · 04/08/2021 09:53

Sorry @Aki21 for such a late reply but I'm based in London and doing the Bump Class and Bump & Baby. Both very good. The Bump Class is face to face and mums only which is lovely as a combination with another. I was dissuaded from NCT and the NHS ones by by OB and midwife.
