@Noodella18 maybe I need some sertraline 😅 Thanks, I think you have the right attitude here, and the nipt is very good.

Lovely to hear you're doing well! X

VixFromThe6ix · 14/09/2021 13:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 hi my darling!! My 20 week is this Friday. I'm also a little nervous about it. I think I've been nervous about every scan so far. It's our first, soaybe that's why? We just want a healthy little munchkin. Are you going to find out the sex or keep it a surprise?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/09/2021 14:48

@VixFromThe6ix yeah me too on the nerves, maybe it is just normal for the 1st. Same as you just want a healthy one.
Are you finding out the sex? We had an nipt so it's a boy over here! X

VixFromThe6ix · 14/09/2021 14:53

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 aw! Congratulations, mama!! We are supposed to find out on Friday during this hour-long ultrasound. We were debating whether we even wanna know but I think we are leaning towards knowing.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/09/2021 15:55

@VixFromThe6ix ahh exciting!! Yes we were the same but the Dr said he could see and did we want to know, so we just said yes. Glad for names also, and I was thinking it was a girl, so would have planned nothing for a boy!

Good luck for Friday lovely x

VixFromThe6ix · 14/09/2021 16:04

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thanks so much!!! I've been buying everything unisex haha so I guess it would be nice to know 🥰

@F1fan81 congrats, mama!!

Hey ladies, I just had my 12 week scan. All looked good but my NT measurement was 2.8 which seems really high. The consultant said not to worry as it’s within normal range but to expect a high risk result from the combined test. At which point we’d have the nipt. I just feel so annoyed at myself we didn’t just have the harmony at 10 weeks. I’m so worried now. It was lovely to see baby moving around but I feel I can enjoy it now until our results come back. My nt was 1.7 with ds and I remember the relief I felt knowing a high nt can be a sign of issues. I guess we just wait and see.

It’s lovely to see so many of you coming up to the 20 week scan. Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/09/2021 18:34

@Catconfusion please don't worry, it is still within range as consultant says, and also should be looked at against your crown rump length as maybe your baby this time was measuring longer. Hopefully they'll get your results back to you shortly though, and you can have an NIPT for extra peace of mind.

Good you otherwise had a good 12 week scan though! Lovely to see baby moving around and okay.

Gummybear17 · 14/09/2021 19:34

@Catconfusion I know I am one to talk but please don't worry 2.8 is still within normal limits . I know it's really hard when we already don't have our age on our side ! I remember with my 1st NT was 3.1 and I nearly had a breakdown ( I was 29 ) and the risk came back as 1:12000 ! You never know what the numbers will be . Will be thinking of you . Please let me know how you get on !

Catconfusion · 14/09/2021 21:27

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you. I definitely think this baby is measuring big. By my dates I’m 11 plus 2 today and they are saying the crl of 51mm makes baby 11 plus 5. I know when I ovulated as I was monitoring my temperature and got pain when it happened. I wouldn’t have even had a positive opk yet on the day conception would have happened to make baby 11 plus 5. My ds was big but early scans were bang on. It wasn’t until 20 weeks he measured big. So we are prone to big babies. The sonographer also wished I’d got my appointment a week later as it’s more difficult to get accurate results this early. As I’ve got irregular periods I went by the dates of my last EPAU scan to get the appointment. I measured three days ahead with them. It could be baby is only 11 plus 2 but big with it.

It was lovely to see baby turning and moving. Xx

Catconfusion · 14/09/2021 21:29

@Gummybear17 sounds really scary with your 1st. Just goes to show the nt is just a part of the actual risk. We’re hopeful it’ll be low risk based on the bloods. I will let you know. Xx

Gummybear17 · 14/09/2021 21:41

@Catconfusion she had a short femur length too! She's 10 now perfectly gorgeous and nearly taller than me !! X

Catconfusion · 14/09/2021 22:01

@Gummybear17 she sounds lovely. Thank goodness all was ok. Xx

M4v3r1ck · 15/09/2021 14:42

Hey all, sorry I've been so bad at keeping in touch! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm now 24+1 weeks.

Just doing a quick catch up, but so lovely to hear scans have all been going well! 😍 How have you all been feeling?

@Katiekattty so glad you're much better! That must have been so scary! 😳

Welcome any newbies! 😃

@M4v3r1ck congratulations for getting to 24 weeks. I remember the relief with ds knowing I’d got to the stage he would have a chance if he came early.

Unfortunately my scan wasn’t completely reassuring as I mentioned above. I’m just waiting for a phone call to find out more. Just hoping it’s ok. Xx

Katiekattty · 15/09/2021 20:00

@Catconfusion fingers x everything is ok. It’s always so scary when you don’t get a full answer just that it might be. Quite a few ladies in the Facebook group I’m in had the same.

@M4v3r1ck almost to the 3rd Trimester. I’m kind of ready to get to the end part.

Catconfusion · 15/09/2021 21:35

Thanks @Katiekattty it does seem quite common. It’s a worry for anyone but there’s an extra layer being over 40. I was already on edge that something would be wrong. I guess at least I’ve not been told there’s definitely a problem. More increased risk. Fingers crossed it’s fine. Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/09/2021 09:01

20 week scan was okay, feeling relieved. That's it now for me on the NHS, so might get a private one at 28 weeks to check all's good, otherwise feels a long slog without!

@VixFromThe6ix good luck with yours today!

Catconfusion · 17/09/2021 09:31

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that’s great news. So pleased you had a positive 20 week scan. Hopefully you’ll have a relaxing last leg of your pregnancy. Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 17/09/2021 10:45

@Catconfusion thank you. How's your hg, are you feeling better at all?

Catconfusion · 17/09/2021 10:51

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 it’s still good days and bad days. We’ve had a scare at our 12 week scan so I’ve been feeling awful as we’re on day 3 of waiting for our test results. Stress definitely makes it worse. Xx

Gummybear17 · 17/09/2021 10:57

How are you @Catconfusion ? Any news yet ? X

Catconfusion · 17/09/2021 11:26

Hey @Gummybear17 not yet. We are on day 3 so I suspect it will be this afternoon. I’m thinking I will call up myself if I don’t hear by late afternoon. Xx
