Hi ladies, I just found out I'm pregnant 4 weeks 1 day just seeing if there's any other newly pregnant who are as excited, terrified, elated, and shocked as I am 😂🤰🏻💕 Due Jan 30th 2022 🤞🤞🤞

It's crazy the advice varies so much. In Ireland they are only giving Pfizer or Moderna Vaccine to pregnant women, and only after 14 weeks (they're only giving those vaccines to anyone under 40 for that matter). As Pfizer & Moderna are MRNA Vaccines so extensively tested on pregnant women.

I know it's mainly AstraZeneca in the uk. If I was in the uk and had 1 dose of AZ already I'd get it no hesitation. If I had had no doses of anything & it's possible to request Pfizer I'd do so. If I had to wait as Pfizer wasn't available I think I'd do the AstraZeneca rather than not be vaccinated.

@spttc they aren't giving AZ to under 40s so those under that age will have Pfizer or moderna. I had Pfizer.

spttc · 27/05/2021 18:41

@mummyh2016 yeh I know in Ireland they aren't. Wasn't sure what story is in Uk. I think there's a few here from there? My friend is 34 in London was given AstraZeneca so I presumed it was different there!

mummyh2016 · 27/05/2021 18:53

@spttc I'm not in Ireland, I'm in UK. They changed the guidance a couple of weeks ago here, I can only presume your friend qualified for her jab before then.

spttc · 27/05/2021 18:55

@mummyh2016 ahh good! Thank god. Well then I wouldn't hesitate getting either Pfizer or Moderna during pregnancy. Here it's only after 14 weeks 👍 But Iv been told that's due to possibility of fever only and not the vaccine itself.

Hi everyone, can I please join too! First pregnancy, 33 and due 24 January so currently 5w+4. Got pregnant in first cycle of trying much to our surprise, I had geared up for it to take 6-12m. Very anxious but fingers and toes crossed for all! Congrats to you all on your January babies also! Exciting ( and somewhat scary!) times ahead! Nice to have people in the same boat to chat to especially as it's too early to be sharing the news amongst our own family/ friends in some cases!

Kayl23 · 28/05/2021 07:02

@Daisychainsandsunshine Morning and congratulations ☺️ how are you finding pregnancy so far? x

bailey1802 · 28/05/2021 12:11

Hi everyone. How's everyone this morning? How's everyone's symptoms? Xx

Fraanne · 28/05/2021 12:51

@bailey1802 I’ve had less cramps yesterday and today, but super hungry and really tired today! But I’m officially 5 weeks today! How are you feeling?

EsseKey · 28/05/2021 13:51

congratulations @Daisychainsandsunshine :)

I am feeling ok, I have very little symptoms but I have a very strong metallic taste in my mouth since yesterday...disgusting!

ChelleV · 28/05/2021 14:28

Having an early scan next week after some literal blinding pain in my lower abdomen two nights in a row - it was enough to make me both pass out and throw up. A week today I'll know if everything is okay. I'm terrified. I felt nothing until about an hour ago and suddenly I'm imagining no discernable heartbeat Sad I'm not an anxious person typically.

bailey1802 · 28/05/2021 14:35

Ah not too bad. I have had a dull ache in lower abdomen most of the day, worse if I sneeze or cough. Trying to not think into it too much x

expectinglittlebear · 28/05/2021 15:08

My symptoms seem to be all over the place at the moment! The past two days I have had severe IBS flare ups (I normally only get one every few months so the pregnancy must be playing havoc with my digestive system). Majorly bloated and gas (sorry TMI). Also, I am super tired, like I could fall asleep standing up tired! My nipples also seem to be super sensitive. I have been cramping here and there too.

I am so bloated I pretty much look pregnant already!

ChinChilly · 28/05/2021 17:10

@EsseKey I have a horrible taste in my mouth that I just can't shift 🤢

@bailey1802 I think the dull ache is normal

My nausea has really stepped up since yesterday evening to the point where I've just been heaving randomly throughout the day

OttilieKnackered · 28/05/2021 18:33

@ChelleV so sorry to hear you’ve had pain and worry. I’ll keep everything crossed for you.

I’ve just had my Pfizer so my arm is sore but apart from bigger boobs I wouldn’t otherwise know I was pregnant!

Kayl23 · 28/05/2021 21:18

I'm the same as you @OttilieKnackered apart from my boobs hurting I don't really have many symptoms. Just really hungry in a morning! Anxiety has eased slightly today, I'm booking an early scan tonight for three weeks time which I cannot wait for some reassurance

spttc · 28/05/2021 21:25

@Kayl23 I'm the same. I had the cramping which has calmed down now. Boobs not even hugely sore. My only real symptom is positive tests, very slightly sore boobs & feeling great, tons of energy! Like 10 times the energy than usual 👌 maybe slight food aversions in that I'm gone off sweet stuff, craving healthy food.

OP posts:
Kayl23 · 28/05/2021 21:32

@spttc have you taken more tests since finding out? I feel like I'm gonna waste so much money on tests haha but I find them reassuring. I wish I had more energy, I've just been more tired!

spttc · 28/05/2021 21:37

@Kayl23 yeh Iv been taking them since 9dpo. I'm 14dpo now. It is super super dark the last few days, dye stealers! so I'm going to give it a rest now! I used my 2nd clearblue digital this morning and showed 2-3weeks since conception which is exactly right. I'm going to take another one of those next week and get the 3+

OP posts:
spttc · 28/05/2021 21:38

@Kayl23 as for the lack of tiredness Iv googled and found similar women most say the tiredness hit them a bit later.....around 10 weeks so I'm making the most of this time 😂

OP posts:
Kayl23 · 28/05/2021 21:39

@spttc that's a good idea. I'm planning on doing the same thing and doing another digital test this weekend! I just wish there was a way to check the little beans were all okay!

spttc · 28/05/2021 21:49

@Kayl23 in all likelihood everything is perfect! Try not to fret 🙂 Relax & take it easy as much as you can, eat well, drink water, avoid caffeine/alcohol etc, take supplements. That's all you can do! Then you have your scan in a few weeks 😍😁

OP posts:
Kayl23 · 29/05/2021 07:13

@spttc You're so right but my anxiety has just become ridiculous since finding out! Which supplements do you take? I'm on the high dose folic acid then just my usual vitamins, omega 3 and vitamin D. I was also taking macca root as I heard it helped with conception (which I think it did, as now I'm pregnant) and have continued taking that x

spttc · 29/05/2021 08:13

@Kayl23 I think it's natural to be anxious! When I was TTC I was taking Proceive Max Conception, plus ubiquinol & omega 3 (not pictured), Iv just switched to the Proceive First Trimester ones (& still taking my omegas). I find them great. The Proceive Iv found wonderful. My husband was on the men's one when we were ttc and he thinks he's going to stay on them anyway as they make him feel so well.
